The battery drain at low level is shocking. I went to sleep with 20% battery and forgot to charge it. Woke up to dead battery so my alarm didn't wake me up....

The other thing I don't like about 6.1: The battery level cap for Maximum Battery Protection is down to 80%. I was doing fine with 85%. A bit more touch and go with 80%.

Hi Saki, thanks for the video.. I fixed the always on display brightness issue. I must tell you I have been a Samsung user for over 10 years. The 6.1 update is the worst I have ever seen by a large margin. I have encountered all sorts of usability issues that I now have to adjust to...all in the name of AI 😢

I received the update this morning. It's good too have the brightness slider back. But it is not intuitive as with ui 6.0. You could access the AOD settings just from the AOD it selves, by tapping the AOD clock. I don't understand why Samsung messed this up. If it aint broke, why fix it? And why do you have to get the Good Lock application to get access to the settings? This is stupid!

Also on S23 Ultra after update you can't add notes, address etc for any new contacts added. Absolute joke this update, wish I could roll back. Samsung slipping back to the old days of lack of quality control.

I would never want to waste battery just for a brighter AOD or screen animations.

I though i was crazy, the way my battery drains and get warm now is ridiculous, I'm loosing at least 3hrs SOT. They should fix this now cos I'm not gonna buy the s24 ultra no matter what they do. And yes I've checked everything, and i have no app draining anything in the background and I've also done Cache partition cleaning multiple times.

@@anugrahbabu7027 yes I forgot to add the damn extra slow charging. I can't even use the phone for a simple WhatsApp chat without having to wait hrs for it to charge. And please no one should tell me I can't use my phone while charging, I've been doing that for years (at least chat or message or regular calls with earbuds ) with no issues.

I updated to latest lockstar but when I go into lockstar it shows 6.1.00.4 but the store says the newer version is installed

OK, I've got the version of Lockstar that you mentioned... but when I try to change the Clock Style like you did at 1:55 in the video, I can select the Digital Clock, but the only clock that shows up is the Digital one as well as 'Widgets'. How can I get the various clocks that you show and I am not showing Battery there either. I have a different looking screen, but the version of lockstar that I am running is 6.1.00.11 --- Help Please Someone!

I hate this update. They changed the back bottom just go home and the multi tab button half the time brings up voice search. The 2 most used buttons don't work. Soooo annoyed

They absolutely ruined the swipe navigation bar with this update... had to go back to the buttons options

Hi Saki, Im still unable to add a "photo" option from my gallery in AOD. I recently updated to the One UI 6.1 to my S23 and I'm disappointed that this feature has vanished. My GoodLock is up to date. thanks for your assistance.

I got the update last night and it pretty much rendered my screen useless to normal touch. I can only use my S Pen to do anything and I tried doing the cache data reset through the boot menu and still nothing. The only other idea I can think of is factory reset but want to know if there's anything else that can be done first. Looked it up and others are having the same issue, it's on the S23 Ultra.

After the update it slowed my charging speed alot

Glad you addressed the battery drain. Lost two hours of battery with this un-update. To be honest all the Good Lock applications for Lockstar and Always On Display. Some things still missing. I can't change the color of the clock in AOD and even though the AOD app icon colors say they can be changed in the Good Lock section, they do not change in the actual AOD. IMHO Samsung pushed for AI to the point of sacrificing what was one of their best phones.

Try creating a clock using the Clockface module and change the color there. Then use lockstar to apply the new clock you created for AOD.

​@@gosekinzMake sure you're updated to the latest Lockstar version 6.1.00.11 that came out few days ago. It works for me since I'm using a custom clockface with different colors, fonts, and design for my AOD and lockscreen. Both of which have different designs from one another.

My swipe methods are not the same after the update. I can't seem to edit it back to the other method. I have no clue how to pull up my open apps and clear them. HELP!!

Aod auto dim was horrible I have some insane Aod styles. And battery 80% frm 85% in battery saving mode is too a let down also. I felt phone much smooth to use now. Animations are much smoother thn before. Vibration felt little better to me. Aod is fixed now which really badly needed for me. ❤

All notifications are white, in one ui 6.0 every one has a color( whatsapp green, telegram blue.) Now you can select a color but only one color. This update s***s!

Same,I was told that if you turn off the color it will show the original icon colors but..... It does show it correctly on the good lock app but when you go to check the aod and lock screen it stays the one color, so this is something that has not been fixed

I assume AI is working all the time in the background, but that's just my guess.

I haven't noticed a battery drain with my 6.1 update.. feels just like UI 6.0 to me..

S23 ultra battery was excellent before the update and is terrible now. I'm really regretting updating.

My friend updated the software a few weeks ago and this green vertical line started to appear on her screen. So she warned me no to update to the latest patch.

With 6.1 installed even the latest LockStar update the notifications are the same colour as whatever you set your clock as. Before stuff like Gmail, Tapo, Facebook, Instagram etc all had own colour. Now they are all identical to whatever colour my clock is set to. Even selecting the A option doesn't work. I do get get the occasional one come through in colour, why don't all? They did with 6.0.

Hi I recently purchased the 1TB model of the s24 ultra and checked the Samsung members app to make sure everything was as it should be, it was. But then I downloaded the very popular Ampere app and it shows that my battery is only 4855mah. Is this something I need to be worried about?

TBH i did think they'd screw up somewhere. The S23 Ultra is a great phone.

I've had the update since last week and have seen absolutely no problems with the battery. Lasts just as long for me as with OneUI 6.0.

my brother works at a tmobile retail store and they've had nonstop people coming in angry with the recent samsung updates. the amount of samsung updating complaints amounts to more than every other phone/OS combined for them the last year or so. forced updates need to end.

So One UI turned into unfinished system and Goodlock just like DLC, will in One UI 9.0 i have to download Goodlock just to use dial and have video recording option?

Was happy to see my Samsung s21 ultra had a new update. Since this morning my phone is blocked with the screen not responding... Only with the s pen.... Fucking hell... It removed my gestures on my Z Fold 5 and my Tab S9+ and uninstalled NavStar in GoodLock. When I selected in Display and NavStar it worked again on my phone. But not on my tablet, because the more options to select specific swipe gestures is now missing. Ugh. Back to button, which I used on my first Galaxy phone for a few months about 10 years ago.

I updated my phone and a few days later it started draining battery very quickly, system overheating notification once and then later in an evening the phone froze and crashed. Yea I find myself going to the device care and optimizing the battery like...every time I open any application. Before I would have to optimize like once a week or once a month even. But something is deliberately eating the battery in this update for sure

My only complaint is the go back button and app close button are hard to use with the google lens thung getting in the way

After the update, I have a camera glitch. During video recording, the stabilization randomly shakes. When you move quickly, it is very unlikely to happen. However, when I move the phone slowly, it happens almost all the time.

I like most of the updates. Only wish they'd fix Bixby wake and the cameras.

Following last week's update, I always receive "No Remastering Needed" when I attempt to remaster a photo.

How come Goodlock is a fix for AOD??? You can say it as a alternate way to customize the AOD. Goodluck is an app which you have to additionally install and this app is already there. It is not a new thing and these functionality were already in it. So Samsung must provide the option which it had earlier then only we can say it as a fix. Please don't misguide!!

I did my update last night the swipe method changed, it is driving me crazy!! When I try to get back in an application, it gets me out of it. I don't know why they have the back arrow vs swipe to go back to a screen. #firstworldproblems

I upgrade my s21 to s22 for bigger battery, now is same as s21, perfect samsung 👌 just what I expect from update.

There's no battery drain issue on my phone, might be isolated problem. But I had choppy animations for the first 2 days for some strange reason, all is good now.

but no one is talking about the touch screen issue for s23 ultra. If your screen has been replaced the touch screen will no longer work with 6.1

It removed the option for me and un-installed NavStar from GoodLock. So I had to go into Display to select swipe gestures and then more options to select, which I wanted to use. Then, installed NavStar again from GoodLock and select swipe gestures there as well. Then it worked again on my Z Fold 5. Unfortunately, this didn't work for my Tab S9+. When I went to Display there wasn't a more options for Swipe Gestures. I still installed GoodLock again to see if that worked instead. No luck. I have to use buttons.
