Only if you don't like accurate data. This thing is horrible and reads heart rate even when not wearing it.

Exactly. That's why I am not buying this first iteration. Certainly there would be some bugs. And very limited features. I would probably get version 3. I mean, you never know, but my personal rule is that you never buy any new product before its third iteration.

A good idea, but a bad idea too. If someone steals your ring, there's no way to lock or unlock it. So people can start paying for stuff with your stolen ring. :(

Could you please check the ring in a swimming pool? Will Samsung Health record swimming as the watch do? And I think that the ring is very good for someone like me, who wants to wear legacy watches and does not want to lose Samsung Health features.

Defo needs NFC payment feature, maybe vibrations for silent notifications and a whole bunch of gestures that work with certain Apps, Air mouse would be cool? All while still keeping it minimal in size.

Personally, waking up from my alarms is really challenging, so a little vibrating alarm on the ring would wake me up easier for work, school, etc. Would be a good feature.

can you have it buzz for notifications? I like being able to get messages from my watch without looking at my phone but I miss wearing a normal watch

I am really hoping for the pinch controls that they add music controls to it too like double pinch to pause and play your music and maybe like a triple pinch to skip a song i think that would be really cool and would be a little faster than using your watch to pause a song for a quick conversation

You mention lifting. Do you lift with a ring? I agree about having the UWB feature included. A no brainer for a key type feature. It'll hopefully be on the Galaxy Ring 2.

I'm really looking forward to the ring. I've been waiting for months. The biggest benefit to the ring over the watch to me is I Only where my watch when I'm Going Out and a tracker 24/7. Especially monitoring my sleep very uncomfortable wearing a watch to bed.

Probably not. It is actually kinda difficult to measure. Even smartwatches can't give you an accurate value (my doctor's speech)

Its kind of cool if you still want to wear a classic watch like a citizen or rolex. But i have a better idea . A band that goes around youe wrist that does everything the ring does plus vibrate for notifications and phone calls and it would fly off the shelf again for people that want to aear traditional watches while still being connected and tracking health

The titanium black ring shows scratches so the titanium silver will be most durable in my opinion

IF I got this, it would be because I need to quit wearing my watch at work. I'm an auto tech. I've been wearing a broken galaxy watch 4 for months. But maybe the ring would allow me to wear it without worrying about the screen? Definitely while sleeping since I can't stand wearing my watch at night, and the battery dies overnight even when in sleep mode(assume I wake it up when I move)

RingConn offers $229 a bit more than half price $399. Their case recharges 18-20 times verses Samsung at 1 1/2 times! RingConn syncs with Google Fit as well. Love Samsung, but this just isn't competitive. The leader of Google was in attendance regarding AI. I wonder why Samsung in their partnership with Google wouldn't offer a direct link to Google Fit. It's important to me because I have to go through Fit to send results out to third parties. This would require a third party app to work between Samsung and Fit. As far as accuracy is concerned, I have seen comments of comparisons to chest straps and other devices to compare results. I didn't see that in the presentation this morning from Samsung.

The main appeal for these rings is supposed to be minimalism. I hate wearing either my apple watch or my samsung one when I have a collection of watches I wantto show off when I go out. Also, my gf hates when I go to sleep with the watch to track my sleep since even though its slim, it still gets in the way

if the ring was a controler for the watch as well so it was a one hand operation would be a great future idea.

I would love to wear a smart ring instead of a smart watch. I would rather spend the Smart watch money on a non-smart watch which I can keep in my collection forever. Smart watches go useless once the OS update cycle ends. I also hope they won't keep launching a new ring version every year.

As long as no one has done a real life test and compare with the Oura Ring, any fake review like this doesnt matter.

These rings actually cost less than 50 usd but sells for 3x + (150 usd +) So if you also want to start your own white label smart ring business with own app let me know. My company provides white label apps for these rings.

Nah, I will pass. I have the RingConn and it already has all these features for a lot cheaper. It's also very accurate when I compare it against my Oura Ring.
