Look at the Chinook Maverick EB 360 + (Ford) or the Sunnit SS 360 (Mercedes). The components are in other league. Truma aventa, full victron system 3000 multiplus with expion 360 x 2, 1080w solar (600 on the roof), hydronic heating gas/diesel, 31 gallon gas tank with Ford, 4 season insulated heated bay, battery inside and water line above floor insulated, 12v compressor fridge and induction cooktop, fire security system sensors, only one class c Truma winter certified, generator removal, replaced by dual alternator 280A, charging at 88amp idle for two hours, or 250A when driving. It can charge the 9000+ wh in 3 hours on the road from 0 to 100%

I hope they improved the Atlas 2023. I bought a brand-new Atlas 2022. There was too much demand in 2022 so there was no quality control time allowed. They refer to these as the Covid RVs Here my issues to date. 1. Water leaking from plastic tubing never crimped on Day One, they never checked the water lines at the factory. 2. Plugged into the two USB charging ports on the sofa and out popped a piece of black plastic rendering this unusable. 3. Exterior storage compartment door hits the exhaust pipe when opening and closing. This has resulted in the door finish being chipped off. 4. The USB charging port above the passenger’s seat is also not working. 5. Luggage door alarm was an issue for over 10 months! 6. The large cabinet doors are falling off; the hinge screws are coming out. 7. Wardrobe closet shelf falls from bracket; it was cut to short. 8. Plastic cap located in water fill compartment is broken 9. Silverware and wardrobe closets open when driving 11. Door hinge on camper access door coming apart 12. Exterior coating is cracking where roof meets the rear of the camper. back to Ohio to be repaired, they had it for 6 weeks. Then i had to fly out and drive it back to Maine at my own expense. 13. Roof white seam tape is peeling off 14. Received recall notice on the emissions 2020 Sprinter 15. Panel under passenger side seat falls off when you open the door 16. Canopy caught on the extender arm and damage the fabric. 17. Airstream recall notice received “cooktop gas may leak” 18. First camping trip after the Atlas was in the shop for two weeks the macerator was not working. 19. First camping trip the TV would only come up ¾ of the way. 21. Small storage carpet is always wet, gasket installed improperly. 22. Couch motor fail, couch in down position for most of the trip 23. Re-cracking of the body that was just painted by Airstream, they had it in Ohio for 6 weeks during camping season. This time I refused to fly out so it returned on a flatbed covered with road salt so thick you could not see out the windows. 24. Sofa failing to return to the upright position 25. Stabilizer jacks not extending, “stabilizers down” alarm sounds when in drive mode until silenced 26. At different time the recliner does not work that closest to the front of the cab

Had all but decided not to get the Atlas, because of the stupid 1,000 watt inverter, propane and some very bad "poor quality" reviews on many things, but... since they now offer the "E1 Package".. $24,000 extra, yikes!! A 3,200 watt inverter, induction cook top and no outdated propane, I am re considering. Still confused why they think saving less than $100 by using a plastic toilet, was a good idea, I say "shame of you Airstream, super lame!" The salesman told me it was a weight issue..yea right, "weight this", super salesman. Great review, I am subscribing.

I did look at the E1 package but really don't do enough boondocking to justify the cost. I hope you find a different sales person. Before I committed to the purchase of mine I called 6 Airstream dealers in 4 different states. I paid $60k less than MSRP, it pays to shop dealers...

I don't like that one push on the key fob unlocks both the doors and outside storage. When camping, whether boondocking or at an RV park, I'd want the outside storage compartments to stay locked after unlocking the doors. They should put another button on the key fob that only controls the locks on the outside storage.

Good review. We have an induction cooktop in an all electric motorhome. When we use the induction cooktop it will shed the ACs. With a 3000 watt inverter on a hot day using all three ACs. I would rather have a propane cooktop, no AC Shed. 50 amps seem to be not enough. I agree with the propane genset, less maintenance. But I guess you might get a longer run time with the diesel genset, I’m not sure. I think the propane genset costs more so it must be a skimp on their part.

You seem very knowledgeable about RVs. You bought a 'pricey' RV for the size. I have been doing A LOT of research of RVs of that size. I would like to know why you decided on brand new as opposed to used? Did you look at Unity RVs? If you did, what made you purchase the one you did over others? Perhaps you have already explained these things. If not, maybe you can provide a little content on your thought process about why you selected the RV that you did. I have seen a couple of your videos and this one may have been the most helpful. Thank you. Salute.

I ordered a Leisure Van but I was put on a 3 year waiting list I was able to purchase the Airstream for 30K more than the LV and really enjoy it but could have been just as happy with the LV.I also like that I can take the Airstream to my local Mercedes dealer instead of the RV dealer which so far has been a benefit.

Have you done much boondocking in this RV? I am wondering how the batteries stay powered with an all electric refrigerator and electric AC, ect.? I'm also not sure I like the generator connected to the fuel tank. Sometimes there are long distances between gas stations when traveling in more remote areas. I would feel the need to conserve fuel and if you don't always have hookups available, I'd be concerned with having enough electric power and fuel for the generator, ect.

We haven't done a lot of off grid camping, longest was two days and we used nothing but batteries for lights, TV, fridge etc. with no problem. we didn't use AC or heat which would have required the Gen. I have found the electric fridge doesn't use much power at all, the solar panels seemed to replenish what it uses and then some.

In comparison to other RV I have owned I would say I have had more issues with this one. Hot water comes and goes, had to learn how to manually raise the stabilizer jacks and the black water electric close valve would close all the way. I actually have it in the shop now to address these things. Its all covered under warranty but I hope limited issues going forward.

The problem with the induction is if you get the EI with the induction you only have one burner. Another words you can cook one thing on the stove at a time and hope to God if you gotta cook more than one thing everything else doesn’t get cold. One of the dumbest ideas in the world if you ask me.
