I think the phrase "sucking all the wealth in the country up", sums this world up. Most people think life is about making money, when rational and realistic goals are social progress (wokring together and respecting each other-as humans), and scientific/technological advancement. Money is the basis of capitalistic, the mechanism of how the economic functions. It isn't there to be worshiped, hoarded, or to be held above life.

Bill stands up and says what we're all thinking.

Bill made some solid points.

I get a lot of bad business advice from older semesters. Like my dad's generation. "Be a pizza delivery guy. The tips are amazing. You're going to make bank." or "Oh, you just one really good part-time job in the unskilled labour market and you can pay your way through college.". Shit that used to work, but does not any more. On any level. I think 'ol Jared here took advice like that at face value, never thought about it, never learned from his mistakes, and just invested in whatever the elder gentlemen at the coutry club told him.
