From a fan perspective and watching from MadRams channel for years now I think it's pretty obvious rock bouncers should have never bounced. Suspension that works and the difference that makes is pretty amazing to watch. I think a lot of this can be some of the Ultra 4 influence on the sport. I also think TC brought this to the forefront of the rock racer suspension design. The unfortunate drawback to these buggies is of course the expense. Rigs like the one above and TCs I know are prohibitively expensive for most owners to buy or even build. Great video as usual MadRam and I look forward to this buggy competing with TC. At least I hope it does. Thanks to anyone that reads this rambletron.

I've wondered what a cost estimate would be too. My guess = ~$110,000 for major components without labor to design, finish, and assemble: Winch = 1,800 Axles = 28,000 Steering = 5,300 Shocks/bump stops = 10,000 Engine = 15,000 (middle of the road guess) Transmission = 5,500 Transfer case = 3,800 Link bars = 1,750 Seats = 2,500 Trailing arms = 12,000 (material and machine time estimate) Sway bar = 700 Radiator = 700 Wheels and tires = 8,000 Chassis = 6,000 (basic price for generic) Miscellaneous budget other pieces and parts = 10,000

Obviously you must be a new fan based off your questions. But I can assure you Wide Open Design didn’t copy Busted Knuckle. Wide Open Design has been around way longer than Busted has. You might want to do some research before you make that bold claim. As far as who owns the buggy. It belongs to wide open Design. Wes is just the driver and he owns the engine and transmission.
