Pretty much a Scorpion on steroids. Extremely deadly especially with the new weapons but also very fragile. The bot that killed me the most on the test server was probably the Ochokochi.

There is a bug with the needle weapon line on the test server making it if you have a personal sheild basicly cant be killed

@@yeetdelete2242 I'm not sure if that is tied to just those weapons. I was seeing Dagons out there that had their shield pop up way too many times and they weren't running any of the harpoon weapons. I think it might just be an Aegis Shield bug not sure.

Hence the only reason they nerfing Ochokochi is not for fair balancing of the game but to make sure the meta cannot counter their latest sale.

It's kinda like a Haechi and a Scorpion merged together but instead the shield got upgraded to an Aegis shield and the light weapon of the Scorpion got turned into a heavy weapon , what a far jump .

Imagine the enemy running into the river to kill you 😂

Ah the time when a scorpion would teleport behind a robot regardless of it's back facing Toff an abyss they just eliminated the use of a skill to counter such teleporters by "fixing" the "problem" much like "fixing" the music

At this point, they should limit the robots per hangar to 1, a full hangar of ochokochis was already really annoying, but a little mosquito here to kill you in 2 seconds and skedadle is even worse

Shenlou means "Godly Dragon" in Mandarin, which matches the upcoming Chinese New year, Dragon year. The drone named Qinting means dragonfly in Mandarin.

Any ambush attack bot like Scorpion and Revenant always benefits most from running ambush style, high DPS weapons such as sonics/blast shotguns and the new electrified close range weapons being released alongside the Shenlou. There are some exceptions but very few. The ability cooldown is way too short on Shenlou. It's attacking literally every 5 seconds or so. Once it gets back to its original destination It's ready to teleport again in seconds! I know the trade off is its low HP but with how confusing and disorientating it is to enemies when it attacks It's going to be a real problem.

Don't worry, First they will introduce it in game with 12 second ability cooldown, then after couple of months they will nerf it to 18 seconds ability cooldowns and only able to teleport to 2 enemies

I think a ravana can easily counter one of them 3 vs 3 ability charge , but can only take one shenlou at a time

Those new weapons remind me of when they came out with Cinders for Titans. I think for teleport range they could have kept it at 350m. Even at that range the Shenlou will have an edge over Scorpion since it can teleport multiple times.

Not really running out of ideas. What they're doing is designing based on metrics. If in the past they noticed there was high sales but also other indicators like players running Orkan for example they will develop a similar weapon with similar animations and properties. After the Orkan came the Rime, Cryo and Glacier family. They look similar, fire rockets and have a cool animation - the difference is that they're ice rockets. If you look at Ao Jun and how popular that was during it's time, it was later followed by the Hawk which was also popular. What they are developing are designs that have been proven to bring in money and more likely to be successful. These decisions are based on what the players want and what they have in their hangars. If tomorrow everyone decided they loved the Natasha, I can bet my money on it that in the future they would develop a robot that looked similar but was slightly improved.

@@St3PdOwN2UrL3v3L It's not really about being positive it's more about this is how things work. I use to work for a company that did this with all of their designs. But it's not just that company, we see it in everything - whether it be Apple, Samsung, gaming mice for example. If you look at Samsung phones do you notice that most times one model looks very similar to the previous model with just a few changes? The same goes with Apple. It's very rare that you'll have a company taking risks on everything they put out. There's no metrics to back up that design but more importantly it's the fear of the unknown. What if they design a bot that's entirely different but no one likes it? That's a lot of money poured into development both conceptually but also those that code etc. Imagine no one buys it and it's a loss. What do you think they'll do next? Chances are they will design something that's similar to a robot that is popular. They'll need to keep doing this to make up for the losses on the other robot that didn't work.

Curie turrets should also work!

Yep they're actually very deadly on the Revenant. I ran into a few and they smoked the Shenlou since Revenant has more health.

I noticed shenlou doesn't do the stupid "turn around maneuver" that scorpion and revenant do making it far more superior in every aspect of the teleporter class I hope they change the bloody swan dance in revs and scorps its supposed to be a god damn assasin not a pole pleaser

lol pole pleaser. I think for the ones playing Shenlou it can be confusing too as sometimes I was teleporting and it even threw me off balance. There was one game where I died really fast but I was hit by an EMP of some sort. I'm wondering now if players start running Whiteout if that will disable it from teleporting again because if that's true the Whiteout would destroy this bot.

I think the Shenlou bot can be a “very great” encounter to the Ocho’s and Ophion’s. Even though the Ocho is getting a nerf and the Ophion but the new bot can possibly surprise them.

@@zafred6424 I never said it was balanced. They should add more seconds to the cooldowns for every switch and ability use. As of for the Aegis shield they could also bring it down. Unless you run Shell with Needle’s and Spike possibly take it down. They have time to change this but if they aren’t gonna do the changes then might as well wait months till it gets nerfed as we learn how to counter the new bot

I don't have any giveaways for now because players were just exploiting and cheating the whole system. Before I even did my first giveaway the players were guessing the codes and I had quite a few steal prizes before I had even planned my giveaway. This mean't I now had less prizes to giveaway as a result of those players who decided to cheat the system. The second time around I had one guy claim 3 prizes for himself soon after I had announced the giveaway. After that I had to halt things because I don't run giveaways like that. It's either done fairly or not done at all. I have requested Pixonic to make changes and I will be the one rewarding prizes myself. I don't trust players unfortunately as many are too dishonest.

Hey Adrian i think this bot is a bit broken. Its difficult to play and it has a strange amount of health for such a small bot. those weapons are ok actually since it does a lot of damage but only 100 meter range. another counter might be ocho and angler

Really cool to see some more Chinese inspired equipment since I love Asian culture as a whole, but this robot seems like too much currently. 200k Aegis in one ability, the ability to teleport around the map like a mad man all while having high firepower with 2x med 1x heavy and it even has decent HP for what it is, and with 70 km/h speed it’ll probably be bonkers fast, too… cool idea, just a little too much from the looks of it. having played it on the test server, how do you think it’s standing in the meta will be? I haven’t used it on the test server yet, but seems like such a chore to deal with this thing. At least has some HARD counters tho, I think it’s no where near Ochokochi level. At least the weapons honestly seem ok imo since they have a comically low range, but I feel that in combination with the Shenlou they will be OP. That being said, I’m very happy about the fact that my very favorite Nether with Everett will be a great counter to it

If it's a test server it might be a bug. This is why there are usually a lot of issues with test servers - they're testing to see if things work or crash.

I was going to do a separate video on that but ran out of time to record it. I actually got a new sound mixer yesterday so things might be a bit slow since I have to figure that out. I'm hoping it solves some of the weird static and mic pops I've been getting recently.

Because it's only open during certain time slots. This is how test servers work. For example usually it's open on weekends - for me it would be on Saturdays from I think 5am to 8am, 2pm to 6pm and then I think 7pm to 12am. I probably got the times wrong because Daylight Savings Time usually messes me up.

We will need Ochos to fight it but one thing also I haven't tested is using something like Whiteout drone. I think the Whiteout drone might mess Shenlou up because there were a few cases where I couldn't teleport. I'm guessing I either got hit by a Typhon or it was a Whiteout drone perhaps.

I wouldn't say Scorpion is a meta robot. It might have been a while back but definitely is not meta. It's definitely a popular robot and that's probably why Pixonic is now targeting those players.

​@adrianchong I'd sell it knowing it's gonna get nerfed also silver is very essential these days at least for my f2p account the only meta robot I wanted was Dagon but I didn't win any giveaways so I just focus on what I have, I also don't like this bot tho I have whiteout drone on my hellburner but it's still gonna be hard to deal with. I'm just glad it's fragile enough to be dealt with fast.
