there’s nothing wrong with version 1, as long as you are happy with it. These new features are more of a convenience in efficiency. But if you’re looking for a second one, this makes it easier to use the parallel guides as a drop on connector also. Something to think about, especially during a sale, but only if you really need it.

I own the v1, oh well. I noticed you were using a Paulk bench for the cuts... Do you also use sacrificial strips or cut directly through it?

I use plywood strips, I don’t cut into it.

Not at the moment, but stay tuned in because when they give a discount code or a big sale happens, I let everyone know immediately.

I understand companies cannot make the perfect product, but wow does it irritate me when companies like TSO and Woopecker put out expensive products only to come out with new or upgraded ones a year or two later. Some of the new improvements seem obvious if more R&D was done.

Honestly there is no need to replace the old one if you already have it, this is for people who are just buying their first rail square. This is the new model with very suddle improvements for the new generation of TSO rail squares. If you already own the older model, this will not really change anything for you.

Honestly, just grind or file the one half of the tab off and you get the upgrade for free. It's a big shorter in the track direction, but the section past the center line (the part you file off) doesn't affect the accuracy because the clamp pulls it away from the centerline anyways...
