    It rips! A seized motor bearing is a common problem, especially in fine dirt. You have to prevent dirt from accumulating. Sealing the bottom of the power module with furry Velcro or cutting a hole in the chassis to let dirt out are the main solutions. The seized bearing may have contributed to the high temps. RC Driver Online had the same problem with the driveshaft, but said Arrma was aware and fixed the cause.

I must be old school but as nice as these new arrma rigs are I liked them better before the buy out lol. My old pre buyout Granite bxl is still awesome. Wheelie beast. That was a great rip Guy!! All the way til it wasn't!! That was a lot of dust in the slipper housing!! I cut the slots in my 3s trucks. Seems to work well for letting stuff out of there. Any fine dust that gets inside the chassis will eventually work it's way in there when your jumping and doing wheelies all the time. That truck was handling the jumps and bumps really well I thought!! 💯💯😀😉

    Had a 3+ houres bashing session with my HPI Trophy Truggy nitro today. Could stayed there even longer but the sun was hot today also in Norway. Nitro is still smoking. But this is some of the problems I also had with my Big Rock 3S. I prefer the 6S cars. That motor mount and that slipper, I just dont like it. Also the steering module I think is to loose, to much play in the parts. But... ok price and it sure goes fast and good when its work 🙂👍

    Arrma is apparently already aware of the issue with pins falling out. Other reviewers already reported it. RCDriverOnline said that Arrma has already revised the little stell bands on the driveshafts for production models and will be changed before they ship. Ya its been known for a while now on all the Arrma 3S and 4S trucks that you should drill out the body posts one size up. Find a drill bit that barely fits through the clip holes and then go just one size up, if the bit barely wont fit through, then its the perfect size, go ahead and drill it out. That and the getting rocks in the servo are normal. Little annoyances but overall I love my Big Rock V3 and can't wait for my Kraton 4S V2 to show up in the mail! Finally the feature set rivals the Traxxas Maxx V2! Ive got some lightweight SMC Racing LCG 6000mAH 100C packs thats will probably be perfect for these trucks.

    Same stuff as the 3s power module. Either seal up the gearbox or cut a hole in the chassis to let the dirt out…..or maybe both. Fuzzy side Velcro works pretty good to keep out the dirt. Sports field grass is pretty rough. You get so much traction its hard to steer and all the little bumps working the suspension while the tires are breaking loose and getting traction is hard on the drivetrain. At least in the sand you break traction easily and when you crash the sand is soft lol.. 4s is fast enough to have fun without a lot of damage but is never enough knowing 6s is 25% faster!!! And then you upgrade to 6s and do standing flips and break everything!! Rc hobby is more the enjoyment of working on/fixing them to go outside and "test run" with a 60% chance your going to break or crash it!! 😂

  • @Fpsnut

    Stock pins are so tight it's infuriating, I would pull and yank on them until ripping them completely off. Finally got fed up and used 5/64 drill bit to make holes a bit bigger and now it's pretty effortless and smooth. Blows my mind that Arrma can't even figure out the right size hole for body pins.

  • @Fpsnut

    @Fpsnut

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@ThrillFPV It is the hole size, I own multiple 1/10 arrma cars and every single one was too freaking tight. It works ok on first few tries then starts seizing up. In the video you can clearly see it starts jamming after a single use. They make them so tight any temperature change or a spec of dust will deform it enough to where it seizes and won't want to let go. One time after a good dirt bash with Big Rock, I had a clip completely unbent pulling on it so hard I thought I was gonna rip a body post off. After using 5/64 drill bit, it's smooth as butter. I also own Losi car and have absolutely zero problems with clips. Looks like team Losi figured out how big of a hole size they gotta have to not have issues, but it's too big brain for Arrma crew.

    I would be willing to bet that the wrong body clips have been installed at the factory, just like the V3 3S vehicles. Get the correct ones, part number AR390165 and they will slip in and out just fine. The ones installed are AR390178 and are meant for the 1/8 scale vehicles. The 390165s are meant for the 1/10 scale.
