Went to Walmart today they actually had product on the shelves only to realize the prices all went up, by allot, I have been collecting over 20 years, looks like I won't be able to afford it anymore 😔

They quadruple the price from year to year, and give you less of a chance on an auto. Great way to get more people into the hobby

They gotta make as much money as they can before they lose the license lol. Set brings back memories when packs of these were $5 and had to hesitate between one of those or a couple of CC and score.

Agreed the cards look hideous, the colors clash in the worst way imo

What Soto is doing this season is pretty special. OBP over .500 on his last 30 games and over .600 in the last 15

Was able to get a mega box of prizm today and pulled a Ke'Bryan Hayes cosmic hase prizm auto 36/50. Not sure what the comps are because of no sales history but definitely excited about it. Also had a Ken Griffey Jr teal wave in it.

Really like those cards. Sooo expensive gah lee

I remember when Topps chrome and Topps finest came with one auto per box and now it's average what a Rip off

I think that inflation is hitting everything in different waves and the collectors market is def hit first.

I believe I just had my best pull ever, Bowman Chrome 1st Blaze Jordan GOLD autograph 12/50, im still in shock . I had a couple of questions? I thought I heard you say that a solid orange is better than a orange shimmer, does that apply for the gold as well ? A gold shimmer #/50 of same card is pricing 5-6,000, trying to figure out where mine will price at ?

True gold , orange , blue etc. Have been outselling the shimmers forever. Nice pull on the blaze dude! But in all reality, if you put it in a 10 day auction on ebay it would probably end around 2 g my guess currently, if its ungraded, I could be wrong though?

The Topps Opening Day series typically have a lower price point. They don't go way up on eBay either.

"That pitching" is ignorant disrespect and I 100% guarantee you'd agree if the players switched teams. He's been one of the best pitchers in the game and competing for the home run crown. Literally twice the player Vlad is.

@@Precomo97 lol, RBIs are a luck stat? So driving in runs when you have the opportunity to do so revolves around luck? If it is all luck, why are the players with the best averages also usually have the most RBIs? It's like one leads to the other.

My pick is Vladi too. I like Ohtani too and i know its special what hes doing with both pitching and DH batting when he's not pitching but Ohtani isnt leading in 19 offensive categories like Vladimir is. That's dominating. To me that makes him the most valuable. Ohtani leads in intentional walks, times caught stealing and is 3rd in most strikouts(offense) Vladimir has to win it, IMO.

I'm no economist, but when Topps quadruples the price of a certain set of cards, AND increases the print run of said set, that particular set is garbage and has little to no value. I hate the current state of the hobby, and this feels like the start of the junk wax era all over again. One giant bubble of overpriced & overproduced cards that eventually will burst, rendering the cards worthless
