Decent video, thanks for this, Rob! We reviewed the PXN V9 a few months back- and this one seems to have a few decent improvements- force feedback, them springs on the pedals, AND the new clamps. We'd love to see a switch for LOW/HIGH for the gear shift... One that springs back to the center as an option would be cool too for them older OutRun style games. BTW: Yes! Truck Sim is pretty damn awesome- surprised me too! Thanks again! :-)

Agree: I like your gear shift idea. I had an idea after the video that you may be able to bind both 3rd and 4th gear as the high low button in Speed Buggy as that should allow both to flip gears. You would have to start in 4 every game to make sure the lever was in the right position at the beginning of the game, but it should work.

Looks like a lot of fun! And work!

Finally they came out with a true force feedback wheel. It looks like it could be decent competition for the Logitech and less expensive Thrustmaster wheels. Pedals look better than Logitech with hall effect sensors and adjustability and it comes with a shifter too

yeah. and its currently down to 279, still more expensive then logitech but as it ages it'll get cheaper. plus its holidays so

It is actually cheaper than the Logitech (with the shifter); but Logitech is cheaper at the cost of the shifter…

I only had a racing wheel once, didn't use it much really, but i still love those gadgets. Btw. the puppy scenes always make me laugh 😂

I don't use them much, and generally sell them off after the video to help keep my channel costs down, but I'm keeping this one. It is just fun to play games on!

One thing that makes this wheel truly shine where others in this price rage fail is that the shifter has a hi/lo built in to it. Definitely a huge bonus for truck sim players and PNX fills a void completely disregarded by the likes of LG/TM shfiters. BTW...your truck driving was atrocious...you need to shift much quicker. Thanks for the video and the review. Found it quite useful.

The weird console names on the box and the passthrough to an official controller indicate to me that the steering wheel most likely is an unlicensed product. Official and licensed controllers have license keys in them that get queried over USB, but controller input isn't encrypted. The steering wheel must apparently pass through the licence-check to the controller and overlay its own inputs.

Kind of... Most wheels can work with PC only, PC and XBox or PC and Playstation. So if you want to switch between your Playstation and your XBox you will need to buy a another controller (Or an adapter, there are some out there, like Big Big One's). This pass through allows you to use it on both XBox and Playstation. (Added after). I mean you are correct that it is not licensed for Microsoft or Sony, but there is a reason for it. Sorry if I was a bit short originally, I was typing from my phone. I did not mean to be rude if it came out that way.

On a truck you can't use a shifter because you don't have time to pass differents speeds, if you have a trailer the speeds passed 2 per 2 and without trailer 3 per 3 or other

Watching your whole video setting it up and still couldn’t get mine to work after map out my config, at the end it ask for key binding requires.

pro tip sim games are intended for the switch on the back to be in the 900 example ets2 and ats racing games are intended to have the switch set for the 270 like the world rally championship 2nd

How do you get the force feedback to work

I dont know if u had it on purpose or not but in euro truck sim, it seems u set your wheel to 270° because u tilt so much in the game and not in real life. Euro truck use 900° tilt while 270° will be great in f1 game or some sports car. Just some info :)

You can see me doing 3 spins when I do the U-turn towards the end -- Good eyes though! I dialed up the sensitivity in this and the Rally segment so I did not have to crank the wheel so much during the video.

This wheel good or bad?

I've had an issue where most games don't come with default controls and most the time games optional inputs don't let me fill in everyone control and when I switched to d input the pc didn't even recognize the wheel and no button worked any idea why this is happening and I'm new to sim racing.

I have issues connecting it to F1 2021 but it seems to work fine on assetto corsa. May i know if you have any solutions?

You might try using it in a different input mode (D-input vs X-input). Sometimes one works better than the other.
