As long as you have the main supplies you can pick out as many toys as you'd like, watch out, buying for a puppy becomes addicting. :-)

Tip: if you have a smaller puppy I recommend a harness (adjusting ones are great!) rather then a collar because collars can be very tight and can mess up the alignment and placement of the neck! Keep your pups safe guys!

iibelle owned a sheltie and they need a small job and what you are saying you can provide is good. just make sure not to over exert your dog until they are at least 8/9 months so you don’t mess up the growth plates

@@thakyawpe1911 my first dog was a pit bull puppy, and she was amazingly easy from the first night she came home with me. my third dog is a pit bull puppy and...OMG...first 2.5 weeks were PURE HELL. has gotten easier since, thank goodness!! second dog was a pit rescue and...she was a great pup, but i inherited someone else's abused dog. i understand the nobility in rescue, but i would much rather mold my own pup.

I feel like I'm learning about dogs from Pam Beesly! I love it!

I got a crate, leash and collar, training treats, toys, and a bed/mat for her crate (she doens't chew that much) For her food I get 'Diamond - High energy - All life stages' I get the high energy because she is a 1 1/2 year old pit bull. She does at home agility and goes on lots of walks and runs with me - even after 20 mins of agility in the morning, a 20 min run in the afternoon, and a 30 min walk before bed... she still has zoomies and loves to play and roughouse *after all of that exercise* *she has zoomies*

I do not have a puppy yet, but this will help convince my mother!

I have used a platic tote or I've also used a piece of plywood cut to fit inside the crate... drilled 4 holes, one in ahc corner and zip tied it inside the crate.

I used an old cut up cardboard box for mine and we have had it in for like 1 1/2 years (he is a small dog) and it's still works quite well

I love watching these videos even though I don't have a dog (YET!)

I just got a 8 week old chihuahua and he is a handful. I am training him as a medical alert service dog for myself. My current service dog is showing signs that she is wanting to retire. And from a medical standpoint she really needs to, she now has arthritis in both hips and the vet said at this point we are looking at maybe three years of her walking. I don't want her to work the rest of her time being able to walk without pain, we have started training the new guy to take her place as my service dog so she can enjoy her days growing old and not have to worry about me.

A vet website told me that when choosing dog food real meat should be the first ingredient such as chicken.

I prefer a wider choice but also adding something different to keep a dogs diet healthy and give them a better health system

my poor grandma is going into a nursing home, and she has a 9 month old puppy. We might be keeping it. Thank you for the helpful information!

Very impressed with the bringing up of spine/joint problems that front clip harnesses can cause. People don't tend to realise or bring that up. Also the negatives of extendable leads!

We brought home a female 8-week old F1B Goldendoodle a week ago. Hubby and I are re-learning the puppy training process since it’s been 20 years since our last pup. These videos are very informative and have really been interesting to watch. Thanks for putting these together!

Congratulations! Hope everything is going well for you! I’ve got a red heeler but I’ve been waiting 18 years to get a blue (my pup was originally the family dog but I was the only person who actually took care of him) where picking her up in 13 days!!!

Got our 9 week old Shih-Tzu 4 days ago. We are so happy and he is such a good boy. Excited to see all your videos. Already signed up for the Puppy Kit.

Thank you for your informative video. Just to say N.B. don't forget the beginnings of potty training. Puppy pads, (not in the crate) are a great way to start the puppy off in between you taking him out (agood 15mins) andthen the.grass potty pad as another source if pup is at the stage to move freely safely, but has to be inside for some reason(instead of using his favorite outside spot)😅

We don't recommend pee pads. They teach the dog to go potty in the house, and often lead to a lifetime of potty accidents on soft surfaces like rugs, pillows and couches!

@@thakyawpe1911 Same, but if I am gone for more than 1 1/2 hrs I will put both my dogs in, btw they are 1 1/2 yrs old but they have to pee/poop every 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hrs.

This was so informal, my new golden is like he's 5yrs old, but he's 12 weeks old!

I already have a dog ,hamster, fish, guinea pig, a second guinea pig, and we are getting a new dog in 3 days. I take care of all animals except for the dog I just named but the one we are getting in 3 days is mine so I take care of him too and it’s a lot of responsibility so ty for this vid it helps

Planning to get a puppy, this helps financially prepare

Boston Terriers are easy to train, seldom bark (but good watch dogs), comical, affectionate and low maintenance. I just laid my beloved Boston of 15 years to rest but plan on getting another. I will use a harness for the puppy and begin him on crate & potty training.
