NEW PROJECT: I Bought A 2000s Muscle Car ICON - 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra TERMINATOR!!
Long before the days of the hellcat, there was the 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra. With a factory supercharger 4.6L and 390+ HP, these cars took the muscle car market by storm in late 2002 and Terminated the competition! I have loved these cars since I knew what they were and have owned quite a few at this point, but this is the first one since starting my youtube channel!
This one is a super rare 2004 Screaming Yellow coupe with ONLY 21,000 miles on it. Follow along as I get this car back on the road!

I feel bad for the guy who had to sell it. He definitely loved that car.

Was obvious that he did, indeed. Not many cars look great in yellow. That one does! The other example was a yellow, much more pale, and not exciting. I have a 73 Corvette that is the original bright yellow color, that I purchased 29 years ago.

Can only imagine how bad this guy screwed him on the price , knowing the story of why the guy had to sell it. Mad respect to the original owner for putting his family first. Kinda wish it went to someone who would have had the same passion as respect as the original owner🫤
This is like selling your first born. The guy that sold this car is a hell of a man to support his family.
Absolute gem of a car and previous owner. A testament to the good people on SVTP.

I miss the 0le svt. Ford Performance branding just doesn’t do it for me personally. But I def enjoy my new Mach though hahahaha.

@@mikehawk120 Just a sticker on a Mustang GT now. The Mach moniker has been long gone since '73.
My dad got this exact color when I was a kid. I remember falling asleep on the way home from picking it up then waking up to being thrown back in my seat and hearing the supercharger screaming. It consistently could light up the wheels at a 75mph roll.
I like how you build different cars
This is going to be cool! I bought my terminator brand new in 03 black coupe, and only has 10k original miles.

The damn restraint 😂
Old lady "you're breathing heavy" You "I was doing all the work" Very relatable, stay strong playaz.
Man as a 22 year old i really enjoy forums and hope they never die off. Facebook has a bunch of know it alls that have never had a build. In forums its all about help.
Stock tails and headlights look much better on SY. Amazing pickup.
Man, I feel for the gentlemen who owned this car that sold it. The true mustang loyalist, a person kept everything as clean and new as possible. A true family guy that needed to do what he could to try to keep his toy as long as possible without doing what most of us have done. One day I hope to get in another Mustang myself not new but a perfect example of a car like this and I hope he does as well. Another great video this one should definitely be a keeper and great content for the channel.
Wow. Sweet Cobra with all the parts and mementos carefully packed and cared for. Kudos to John for being a good guy and a great family man.
As a Chevy guy, I miss seeing Terminators in the road. Just a cool ass car and sounds amazing.
I too feel bad for the former owner he is awesome caring for family first, I like you, prefer those beautiful clear headlights/tail lights
Man, seeing how much came with that piece you can really tell that John loved that car. John if you’re reading this, cheers to you for keeping that thing MINT. Chris, this is going to be a fun build to follow. You can tell that this piece never saw rain! 😂 Looking forward to this one!
Very cool. I had a 2003 Cobra. Added a Whipple 2.3 with all the supporting mods. Put down 600rwhp. Great car. I bought it in 2004 in bone stock condition, and only 3,000 miles. Kept it for 8 years. It was such a great car. I have a dyno video on my page with it.
I remember the first time I saw one with the mystichrome paint❤❤❤❤ I was hooked. They laughed at Camaros and slapped corvettes.
Holy cow this guy took great car of the car, having all those OG documents and swag adds more to this build.
The Corvettes are my go to cars, but this is the one Mustang that I will enjoy watching you build.
the care that went into this car is off the charts
This may be one of the best car channels on youtube right now! A normal guy doing what he loves with actual knowledge of cars.
Chris, you went over to the dark side with that Mustang!
The introduction you did for this car was awesome. People like myself know what the Cobra Terminator is, but did not know the backstory and history. Looking forward to what's next.
This was the guy's dream car, It would be cool if you built it and gave it back to him.
That was one of the most enjoyable videos I have watched in a long time. I’ve always loved these cars. I love seeing other people love them also. That is a super clean example also. What a beautiful car.
It looks like we are probably off a similar age, that car was an unobtanium car growing up, that's just a beautiful example you've got there 👏👏👏
Can't wait to see this car come all together. Thanks Chris for this project.
What an absolute gem. Awesome find Chris! Can’t wait to see you bring it back to life
As soon as I saw all the framed stuff it came with; you can tell John absolutely loved this car
previous owner is def a champ. good job brother
YT recommended this channel to me today, and I can tell you the first 10min got me hooked the terminator helped but it was how the content was made that got me as a subscriber. I can't wait to see what you do with one of my mid 20's dream car. Great work Chris.
I can't believe you called the previous owner"anal" you should be greatful buddy loved that beautiful pony and treated her with love and respect. I bet it's safe to say it broke his heart to part with that awesome snake. Your a lucky guy to have come across basically a new old terminator, with everything to make her go again ,was a great two years for the mustangs with many more ahead of them. Good luck bringing her back to life, people won't miss her coming down the road at them

That thing is CLEAN!!! Great purchase. Cant wait to watch the others.
It is amazing to see your channel taking off!
Absolute gem!!! When it’s all up and running you should try to show the previous owner or let him drive it. Poor guy sold an amazing vehicle. Excited for the build!
What a great car. The fact that your taking it back to stock as much as you can says a lot. This would be the one you as original as possible. Can’t wait for the fest of your content.
OMG! That car is immaculate, the engine bay was superb, and when the framed pictures started getting pulled out the footwell... wow! That bloke really, really took care of it. And the painters' tape just showed the PO's meticulous approach! Looking forward to this series and have just subscribed!
New subscriber and very much enjoying this build. Watching familiar pieces and parts be worked while hearing references to things like SVTP forums takes me back. I still miss my black ‘03. Good luck!
Terminator mustang is my dream car. What a great sound!
The terminater! Hell yeah....You have some good taste bro! Can't wait for this build 👍🏻
Thank you for the content. Greatly appreciated!
One of the things I really like about your channel is the variety! I sub'd for Z06 content but this is awesome. Good luck with the build.
Fav channel on KZread! Excited for the project!
I am so stoked for this build! The car is absolutely mint.
Newly subscribed because of this cobra build. You’re damn near the luckiest dude in the continental us by getting this absolute beauty unmolested terminator. You’re living the dream brother and I hope to live it vicariously through your videos. Can’t wait to see the next one!
Awesome as always Chris! Thanks for changing it up great content!
Absolutely love these. Best exhaust note on a car EVER.
Great choice. Looking forward to the build. Love these cars!
Man I will be watching this ! Great car and vid bud! from 🇨🇦
Hell yeah can’t wait to see this build again, Thank you for no parting it out!! Crazy that just something little they decide to part these cars out! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love these cars absolute icon not just in the mustang world but the entire enthusiast community.
I have an 18 G.T rag top and I’m jealous of this beast, not even a fan of the older style and I’m jealous of this beast. Love to see it back together.
Glad to see the upload, been waiting to see what was up next on the channel.. great find
Can’t wait to see this beauty come back to life.
I'm happy this beast went to a good home. The Terminator was the first modern high horsepower car I drove, and it was this same year and spec as yours. My neighbor was one of my high school teachers, and despite nearly failing me as a student, he let me take his car out for a couple of romps. What a thrill! Chris, I'm happy you're able to buy one of your old favorites. One of these days, I'll buy my first fast car again, an '04 STi. Thanks for sharing! Love your videos!
Wow, what an amazing example. That is definitely one of my favorite cars ever, congrats brother!
Hell ya bro I’m so happy you got this car 🙏🏾 can’t wait to see what you do to this beautiful beast
Man, this makes me miss my Competiton Orange Cobra.
Watching all the way through. What an awesome car!!!!!!!!!! Wish I had seen it!!!!
Chris I remember watching those Car and Driver videos on saturdays just like Motorweek. Thanks for the flashback man!!
Wow, great video. Instantly subscribed. Really difficult to find a channel that has interesting content, isn't too over the top/energetic, and also shows background on the car (U.S cars are not very common here in N.Z). Love it.
nice find. I love seeing youtubers getting these cars back out there lately
Wow love the cobras! You have yourself an awesome piece of ford history! Definitely going to follow along
Excited to see this build. And now the previous owner gets to see the build come to fruition.
Edit: Just watched your Vlog and OMG what a beautiful SVT that thing is clean !! Looking forward to your build on this beauty. Man you really scored a nice one much congratulations 👍🏻👊🏻
Going to be a great project! Can’t wait to follow along
Once again knocked it out the park great video man!
Man, you have some of the coolest cars on your channel. 04 SY cobra, C6z and a E63 in the same garage? Yes please. Long time M156 fan here and just got my 09 C63 last year. I have a H/C 4th gen fbody as well. Really enjoying your content.
Dude really looking forward to this build 😎💪
Wow. Great find. I 100% agree with you on the OEM head lights and tail lights. Not a fan of the smoked look. Can’t wait on the up coming videos on this build.
That car lived a good life before it got to you - what an amazing find
Yes!!! The OG headlights & taillights are the way to go!!! Looks nice
Chris, you've done it again. What a find
My boy always comin wit tht heat . I’m excited for this build 💯
Man this is making me nostalgic. I had a Redfire 04 Cobra for 10 years, Loved it like a son. I sold it to trade up for a 16 GT350, which I also love... but watching this I STILL miss my Cobra. Shoulda kept it. I'll be following. Congrats!
Subbed when I saw this car. Can’t wait for more
i remember that EXACT video of that KB "snakebite" Cobra back when i was a Jr. or Sr. in high school. i still remember it like it was yesterday. must have seen it 100x over the years
I've been seeing your WTB threads on SVTP for years now. Never knew you had a KZread channel. I've subscribed, looking forward to seeing where this goes.
04 cobra owner here....chris u got soul man, fan of the music......
Right on! Love to see it! Still a dream car of mine, and I’m sure many others.
Ive loved that car since i a child. Beautiful!!!
Awesome video as usual & an unbelievable looking Cobra too.
I will definitely be following this Bill! Please post regularly ha ha
Snake bite was my favorite pre KZread/early KZread Terminator video!
Another awesome project. Can’t wait for the next video
I'm s stoked for this build!! Terminator is one of my bucket list Mustangs. I've had most iteration of Mustang from the Fox body to current. Minus Terminator, and GT500.
I love these videos, your channel inspired me to get back to working on my 2005 CTS (base)
I remember watching that snake bite video on street fire. That video is a lot of the reason I’m a car guy today. This channel is so under rated. Nice work!

What a find. Excited for this build
I am so excited to see this built up and fired up! I am impressed how clean the termi is! John really took care of her. She is a head turner for sure. Notifications are on!

Termi? You must've just taken a drink of Bud Lite
Sheesh that’s in impeccable condition. It’ll be cool to watch the progress on this one and see what it brings when you sell it 👍🏻
awesome content and story wow that guy really liked that yellow mustang very VERY CLEAN
I have a very low miles ‘99 Cobra Vert which I love dearly. The ‘New Edge’ styling is my favorite Mustang with the Fox Body rolling in at #2.
The snake byte burnout vid is what led me to buy a termi back then, I was lucky enough to find a very low mileage one owner. Out of 50+ cars I owned, the termi is still one of the best
I’m 38 and will always remember that snakebite video. I just remember thinking how absolutely insane it sounded
Man....what a gentlmen of a previous owner. That must have been a difficult sell for him. I really enjoyed this video and glad to see you are going to appreciate this immaculate Cobra. I hope to find a Terminator project like this in the future.
Congrats on such a great find. Truly a gem of a stang. Really feel bad for the previous owner. Shows that this was his baby, his pride & joy. Hope he gets to buy another one in the near future. Im suprised how clean this car is specially when u removed the heads & tails not a sign of dirt accumulation. Those spots usually collect so much dirt and im guessing this car has never seen rain or snow. You can eat off the underside and engine bay😂
Wow man what a find. The amount of times my friends and I watched that snakebite video all those years ago is crazy.
When my dad sold his cobra, I got pretty sad, but it was to support his family and I am so glad after 2 years of saving up money again, he bought one that was kept in such good condition and its got the dream mods he wanted to have on it. Love the video!
Dude your channel doesn’t get the love it deserves!!! How are you not at 100k yet
dude nice pick up! all time fav mustang
