You like to scratchbuild, so it will not be a problem for you to make it looks great. looking forward to see how it goes. Will Pattison say trow it away, i don't think so, that the answer to old kit/Bad kit, at the end having fun while building, and with paint and weathering, then you have a great looking kit, and have a good time build it. Hi Kim, Thanks mate. Yep, I'm enjoying the first bit of scratchbuilding on the engine already. The kit detail is pretty rudimentary! I'll see how I go fitting it to the fuselage if what Will says is anything to go by... Cheers, Dave

Nothing wrong with being cheap, i'm cheap myself. Modeling is an expensive hobby and we don't all have $200 bucks to spend on a kit then $150 on after parts accessories and another $ 70 on paints, glues etc.

I actually built this... as a bit of a test of BMF... was OK, but lots of filling and sanding..

Hi Tony, yep, I agree. I rather failed my basic modelling skillz test, my filling and sanding really let me down! ;)

I just finished this kit (May 2021) and wow what a chore. I did not enjoy it at all. Everything was a fight the whole way.

You certainly become aware how different old kits are compared to modern releases when you build this, don't you? ;)

ugh. the fit...everywhere. just throw the engine away...there's absolutely no provision for mounting it and the cowling fit is horrific anyway. my ism1 or maybe 2 video is about that thing.
