If you're still using the Tarp, I'd highly recommend getting the carbon fibre poles for it. The aluminium ones are shite if you have more than a breeze. I've tested them out in 40mph Outer Hebrides wind and they hold up well. Some of the corner seams are looking a bit tired but its a great piece of kit.

Having just bought this….as a lone traveller….what you’re telling me is ….I’m just going to drive around with it in my van 😂

Hahaha no no, it gets easier with time. Dave puts it up on his own now. He slides it into the awning rail, pegs the end down then pops the poles in the middle and just gradually starts raising the poles and walking the pegged end back in gradually raising it. It's just so versatile it took us a while to work out what works best for us. Just pray it's not windy the first few times you do it 🙈

It can be a right pain, but once you get the nack of it, it takes no time! Happy camping! 👍🤙

The peg holes on the furthest end want to be pulled tight as possible towards that green bench then push the poles in

Stitches + steel do some great kit for sure. 👌

Great video, I am looking to buy but am torn between 3 canopies. We are likely to want it all the way out, do you find it too big at all? Or would you just fold it back on itself? Tia 😊

Hey 👋 we tend to have it mostly folded back or down, it is huge when out the full length which is fab for socialising in the evenings , but I get nervous about the wind getting underneath it at night so we never leave it out for long or if we're not about to keep eye on it.

Hi. What do you attach it to when you fold it back on itself?

Hi Lee, Each corner has a small hole for the poles to slip into. So when we fold it over the top, we use two small carabiners through the holes that meet when folded. It's not perfect but does the trick, but can be a bit noisy if the wind picks up as it gusts between the two pieces of material. Hope this helps. Dave

Yeah totally depends on what you want from your set up for how great this bit of kit is or isnt. For the price, pack down size and ease of set up it's great for us... But not for wind/long trips! We defo take the air awning for those trips 👍 and glad the review helped 🤙
