The most exciting part about this is that the gen 2 Fuel M12 stuff is going to be cheap now, and those tools are really just so good that the next gen stuff just isn't necessary for what I use them for. The current generation M12 stuff is just the sweet spot. Can't wait to load up at 50% off lol

Wow! Nice upgrades! For me, though, the "old" versions are working just fine - I only use them to 20% of their potential most of the time anyway. I do have the surge impact driver which works just fine driving screws, but it doesn't work so well to loosen lug nuts (okay, it can't loosen them at all!) but then again it wasn't designed for that. My next purchase will probably be the stubby impact wrench to get me that lug nut loosening torque!

It's not a revolution its a minor facelifting... They were also really good in last gen. Higher capacity of battery wont give you more power. It will just run longer. they are delivering same amperage to the device (thats why they have HO batteries). This is electric device not a gasoline engine it does not need to break in to work better...

I've got the 2551-20 impact driver which is the surge. Great tool but I see this new one has bumped up the torque quite a bit. Are they going to make a new one with the surge option? Love the tri-led on the new one. These old eyes like lots of light. It seems like Milwaukee is posting 'peak' torque for the 3530-20, 1,500 in-lbs. For the one I've got they post the 'sustained fastening' torque of 450 in-lbs. I wish they would just stick with one number and do away with the advertising fuckery.
