where did you get your Spider-man Playstation Portal Stand from???

I got my portal last night and I absolutely love it definitely worth it 😊😊

is the portal better with digital games or hard copy games? it seems like if you own a physical copy of a game, it needs to be in the playstation 5 in order for your portal to play it, whereas a digital copy allows you to play all your games?

That is correct. If you have a physical game set up, whatever game is in the slot will be the game you will be able to play. Digital is the better option for the portal if you want yo switch between games and you're not home.

Teh Portal selling point, afaict, is same tactility as the DualSense and a fairly large screen for a mobile player at a lower price than the SteamDeck. But there are other caveats, you need to: 1) not already have another handheld 2) only want to play PS5 games 3) have a really good connection wherever you are

The steam deck or any other pc handheld shouldn’t be compared to the portal, pc handhelds can play games natively the portal can only stream and needs a ps5 to work so basically it’s $700, $500 for the ps5 and $200 for the portal it’s not cheaper than the steam deck

Yes it might be $500 to $700 in total But if you've already had A PS5 for a while it's only $200 lol My only question is it's a PS5 remote player for PS5 butt It's remote play only which should mean things connected to a PS4 all you have to do is just Pair the PlayStation 5 controller to PS4 And it works amazingly you're telling me it wont-work with the PlayStation portal I would love to see a video on that Playing PlayStation portal on PS4 I mean it is a remote player it should just work common sense

The portal 2 has to be a dedicated player like an old Game gear or switch its pretty cool but people want one who don't really want to have a ps5 set up

Your internet service speed getting upgraded will not affect the quality on portal. That's 100% just your internal wifi. (Except when you play from outside your home.)

It will impact it a lot because fibre broadband has very low latency too. If you are playing the Portal outside your home network that is.

If someone is playing the ps5 can someone else log on through the handheld device and play an entirely different game?

No because it uses remote play meaning the ps5 is showing the same thing as on the tv or monitor or tv on the portal screen and giving it aces to control it but u can use it as a second controller

Wtf was Sony thinking? It’s an awesome concept but if I can just play the game on my 85” TV ( since you can only play the portal at home) why wouldn’t I? 🤦🏻‍♂️

For 100.00 the Backbone seems much more of a waste than the portal which has its own screen which is bigger than most every phone on the market. Also Portal has all the dualsense features, allows you to use your phone for other things while you game and doesn't require you to take your phone out of the case to play on it. At 200.00 Sony knew exactly who they were targeting with the PS Portal because the Portal renders the Backbone controller absolutely useless, imo. I say this as someone who waited a long time for the PS branded Backbone controller and got one at launch only for the Portal to release and now I am giving my Backbone to my kid so they can play Fortnite with it on the go.

@@corey_massey i bought it for 69 dollars i was already looking for a mobile gaming controller for remote play and gamepass so the backbone isn't a waste of money to me despite me thinking the price was a little too much. the portal meanwhile isn't even portable or a console. it can only be used by the ps5 and i use both my ps4 and ps5 regularly, the portal also has no wifi which is a problem if you wanted to game on the go.

I got the PlayStation portal as well, although I am keeping the Backbone because I do do cloud gaming, as well as remote play on my Xbox, but having the PlayStation portal is making me purchase more games for the PlayStation for sure

Fun fact....when playing in your home, your internet speed doesn't matter as much because you connect it to your PS5 through the shared Wifi network in your home. So as long as you have at least a 5mbps upto 15mbps wifi connection your Portal will work perfectly in your home on wifi. Outside your home, your internet speed will be more of a determining factor as faster internet speeds will be needed for maintaining a stable connection. It also helps if you Port forward certain ports in your router to allow outside devices to conncet into your home wifi.

I don’t have the portal but I was able to do remote play on my phone while I was 1000 miles away from my house.

You missed out so many important details we were all waiting to hear

The fact that the ps portal can't show the HDR on it's screen is a "feature"? So uf you go from a car to a horse, it's a "feature" the horse is much slower and doesn't have wheels? 😂😂😂

I think this is more of a gimmick that anything that can really be taken seriously. The fact you said you wondered how it will fair on a 1gb internet connection shows you’re not thinking about it’s intended purpose, which is to take it out and about. If you’re at home with your 1gb internet then you’d just play the actual console. This is a no for me, along with their overly expensive headphones which are no better than a mediocre set from TK Max.

I'm not sold on the Portal at it's current price, however one of the selling points is you can play your console without hogging the TV. Just because you're at home, doesn't mean you can always just play the console.

Very correct most average households have 3 or more people hence a device like this comes in handy. For me i could watch the Football (I mean both US (NFL) and UK (PREM) and game at the same time). I will not pay 200 dollars though. this should be 99 max. @@JayTheDodo

@@christophershaffer8242 It will work with a phone hotspot and is essentially usefull if your phone hotspot can relay wifi because it will then allow you to sign on to any wifi signal you have the passcode for.
