Great guide! Only thing I've had issues with is the matchmaking for abyss raids, between not finding people at all below T3 and finding groups that often wipe at T3 lol

With gear progression beeing so fast - starting with Punkia you hit a point where you suddenly need extra materials and honing isnt garanteed anymore. I'd love a video going over the details on honing and crafting. When to use extra materials? When do you just slam? How much mats do you get later - it's hard to get a grasp on the worth of materials early since you get spoiled from the ark pass and hyper express. Also jobs - how rare / hard to get are potions. A crafting setup and farming route. Stuff like that :D

Been playing for like 4 months and im at 1445 but im also not really honing up yet been hording all my gold and even started making extra rosters for the unas task gold. I guess at the end of the day if im wasting time doing something i enjoy its worth it. Now sitting on 60k gold n started my 2nd alt gold roster.

Only issue I run into is no one does the lower content. Imo they could do what eso does and give daily bonuses for a extra run where you join fill q. This also allows people to see end game peoples monster builds and motivate them.

How to get end game gear levels in this game quicky is to swipe your credit card (pay to progress) or u are willing to invest +1500 hrs (188 day 8 hrs a day or 250 day 6hrs a day) running multiple alts characters to feed your main character. If you choose the latter, you will always be behind the veterans (people who started from the beggining). However, if you looking for cool game to play in this genre and just want fun with no abitions, then this game is just awesome!

I noticed that! I recently got back into the game after taking like 8 months off. My main is Firepower Artillerist, been a few times been asked why I don't run barrage then get kicked lol but for the most part the community isn't as bad as comments make it seem

I hope you come back to lost ark dude I been watching you since you played aion way way back lol but I just got back into lost ark after stopping for over a year or 1.5 years but I have been honing my 275 blue gear I got it to 1000 but I decided to stop incase I’m doing the wrong set I still havnt got a legendary set cuz tuning lower raids is bacially not possible but what’s your advice for gear to hone should I just use my blue until I find purple or legendary gear I just finished rohendale

Never mind I kinda got it sorted out playing the story all the way and clearing all the guardian raids and chaos dungeons I can is helping hearing me up

It's sad, the class I wanted to play took so much time to come out (Scouter). I took a break untill it releases after reaching Punika and now the server I was on was nuked and my characters are stranded on another empty server plagued by bots... Word of advice, never follow your friends on their server if you know they won't keep playing for long xD Thanks for that update!

Unless you are on a dead region (EUW for example) and care about guild stuff, servers don't matter and you can do all the content with other players in your region even if they aren't on your server.

@@Shagrath06 I would highly recommend you to switch regions (to EUC), otherwise you will have an extremely hard time finding groups for new players, decent items to gear your character etc. The game has a big gatekeeping issue even in EUC, it's hard to find a group as a new player. I don't want to imagine how it's like in EUW to be honest. Rohendel is not even the halfway through the story so, better to switch now than regretting it and potentially quit the game.

Ah yes, buy a bus for weeks until you get a title, which then you can get into a title party, not knowing the mechs which then will cause you to get flamed since doing the raid in a normal situation would by far help with learning mechs than watching someone carry through it. I understand your points but it's just unfortunate that the "homework" mentality of endgame players makes this game seem like a chore/2nd job, leading to intense gatekeeping. I would recommend finding a static or a group that's pretty chill or even new to the game so you guys can progress together.

As a new player, I have found gearing up in lost ark to be really difficult to understand. There are so many items, materials, and currencies, and I still have no idea what half of them are for or which ones I should work towards attaining in the future🤯

Is it possible to keep on playing without joining a guild? Its just because its hard to be accepted to one these days

Guilds are usually pretty accepting these days since many are just trying to fill the numbers. But you can play solo all you want. Just means probably pug alot instead of having a dedicated static for raids.

can you premade queue for pvp etc with ppl from other servers? like thirain/kadan

You can set “favorites” now! And so when you get a drop that has that certain engraving it’ll have that marking!

What about If I just reached Ilvl250.. do I get to the real endgame just by following the ark gathering quests?

Hii! At ilevel 250 you barely finished half the story and are starting to hit your head on endgame systems that are both cool and fun. Your next goal is reaching ilevel 600 then 1100 and only after that you begin the last tier which is where I'm at too (only at the end of it)

Unfortunately, at this stage of the game, it takes hundreds of hours just to get to the latest content, if not 1000 hours. Asking someone to invest 1k hours into a game just to get to the current endgame is pretty insane. I haven't had any luck getting anyone new to play since the barrier to entry is so massive compared to nearly every other MMO out there. FFXIV, WoW, GW2, ESO etc. all only require maybe 100 hours or less to reach endgame and be playing with the veterans. I can't recommend this game for new players until SG/AGS do something to lower the barrier to entry.

The only thing they can do is redesign the game with less emphasis on endgame or less grind, which will never happen because the grind is integral to their monetization. This is how Korean MMOs work. A game like BDO only gets away with it because it's more of a sandbox without an endgame. The Korean grinding mentality and endgame raiding don't mix.

I'm not sure what you mean by that really. The first character sure has to make it to punika which takes about 20 hrs or so of game time. After that they can just use a powerpass for the second one. Ppl can get to endgame in like a week. What you're adding to that is horizontal content like mokos, souls, giant hearts, and other stuff for runes and additional skill points. The issue is the mindset that the West has establish which is "if you aren't close to perfect we don't want to party with you". Saint did a kakul run at ilvl with only 1 engraving for everyone in the raid. They buff class damage and nerf raids so much it's far easier than people make it to be. Just here we would rather over gear something so we don't need to worry about skill.

If they played for a week their ass is gatekept due to roster level / gems / cards / class they choose / not knowledge / no title / low ilevel or 500 other reasons people gatekeep each other. Not to mention the content THEY CAN NOT DO ANYMORE - because there's lack of the playerbase that DO THAT KIND OF CONTENT. This includes plenty of islands / timed events / SKILL POINT MISSIONS !!!! / lower tier 2 raids missions xDDDD NO ONE DO THESE ANYMORE. GO fucking create fresh new account - play 1 week and tell me ur experience - it's bullshit. + in a week he won't understand shit - nothing about engravings / stagger / bombs / mechanics. nothing.

​ @Jamestismyname You can get 1460 on your main in like week or two with hyper express event. Creating alts is the problem cuz you need to redo the story, leveling them to 1445 atm is not hard at all, you can play this game on rested 1 hour a day and get 6 gold roster in a month or two. Brelshaza is kinda far away, but its not how much u play but how often. I guess hyper express event to 1475 or 1490 is the way.

I wish the systems in this game weren't so convoluted and overly spread out. I feel like my brain can't keep track of the 20 different things to click on to accomplish one task that i set for myself. "i want to upgrade my gear -> do this raid x amount of times -> go to this vendor -> click this tab ->click this weird thing-> highlight this thing -> drag this from inventory ->take to other vendor ->pull up another tab-> click this thing-> wait i fucked up ->not that thing, oh fuck-> what was i doing again?-> oh yeah this-> i dont have this item wtf-> oh i have to open a chest and then right click this->repeat steps 6-8-> pull up THIRD tab-> recheck guide on youtube-> fast forward-> content creator says something funny ahaha-> wait what was i doing?

If the game wasn’t full of whales and way more complex that is necessary I’d play. Combat is great but as a casual I don’t have the time to compete which keeps me waiting hours to play 1400 item level content. The catch up mechanics are great but to get gold to upgrade takes time, time I don’t have.

Just got back into the game 2 days ago. Perfect timing lol

Seems like every lost ark "beginner" video I click on starts at end game lol. When the game came out I hit 50 and stopped pveing and only pvped, now pvp is dead and I cant even get a que for team elimination on NA East so I wanted to try pve. I'm still at 302 item level and it seems that every video I look for everyone skips straight to 1302 😐 Im not spending a dime on this game and no one ever actually goes over the REAL BEGINNING of the game. How do I even get to 600 item level or 900 let alone 1302, and on top of that not even understanding any of the other aspects of the pve engravings and all that. This all just makes me wanna go back to spacebar spam in 3v3 and not pve lol

about Raid well how are we new players going to do the raid when everyone wont accept new players?? literally cant find a group for hours and when u find 1 i get kicked instantly. Just sucks to be a new player orrrrrrr new raid player

Bussing services is what breaks it for me. It says alot about how toxic and opportunistic the community is as a whole. I'm aware that there are a few that offer free help but they shouldnt be the minority imo. The selfish elitist attitude of LA's community is what deterred me from playing.

so basically there is no way new lone players can enjoy the game. I started 6mth ago and if there wasnt my friend which always gets me into parties i would stop after 1 week playing. System of parting is broken we just have to admit it. There should be reward for top players in lobby (MVP) if there was a low lvl lobby for run. Like game itself would give gold for it like 9k more for 1st place 5 for 3rd etc. Other way new players wont learn anything about legion raids even if they buy theirselves out of miseries of rejection they wont be accepted because of rooster.

I don't think this game is for me 🙂It was fun leveling up at least.
