What you have to understand in terms of price. The known German dull basic models start at these prices, then to get to this kit level, adding a sporty variant you'll add over 10K easily. Too add I've owned both 3008 and latest 2008 in 1.2, petrol, found it to be more than enough for town, rural and motorway driving. Never thought I'd but another Peugeot after my 205 gti, yhe created so much junk following, the latest model line up shows they've massively improved, check how many you see on our roads 😉

Nice looking car - thank God for things that aren't SUVs. Pity Peugeot are persisting with the toy wheel that few, if any, praise though (just learn to live with it as you say) and have my concerns over the 1.2 engine, though that extends to most downsized engines in my book. €40k to start though - wtf? :) What will the BEV cost? Prices gone doolally

In 2019 the 508 redesign launched at 29k EUR for the base trim. Current price for a 2023 version starts at 36k. That's already absurd enough, but what exactly justifies this car starting at 40k? The EV version might be more interesting, very curious about what they set the price on that.

Pricing is a non-issue for those who have cash. And, out of 1 million folks, 338,724 have that money. Result in case of Peugeot / Stellantis: $18 bn in profits in 2022. Margin 13%, the highest of the industry. So, yeah, I am sure this 408 too will find its way to happy customers

Nice looking car but that rear bumper spoils the look, should have been colour coded.

Needs a hybrid model......non PHEV as the 1.2 is not enough and the PHEV way too dear

I think it's far too expensive for what it is and I'm sorry but a 1.2 3 cylinder turbo isn't enough in a car like that, of course it's going to be thirsty on fuel and as for the plug in hybrid again far too expensive for what it is, these are supposed to be family cars and there's not many families will be able to afford one of these at that price especially when the full electric version comes out and that's before you try and insure it. I'm sorry but I like the look of it but it not going to entice me out of my diesel Renault Kadjar.
