After nearly 1,200,000 vehicles sold in its previous version, this new generation of PEUGEOT 2008 asserts itself with a particularly powerful and distinctive style. Ultra-technological, it adopts the brand new generation of the immersive PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® 3D, equipment and driving aids at the level of PEUGEOT's best know-how.
From its launch, the new SUV PEUGEOT 2008 has a multi-energy offer: electric, petrol and diesel offering customers freedom of choice while retaining the extraordinarily stimulating and efficient sensations.
The new SUV PEUGEOT 2008 is the first PEUGEOT electric SUV, it gives access to a new universe of sensations. 100% electric, the driver will benefit from a high level of brilliance, in total silence and absence of vibrations. This pleasure is accompanied by the freedom to drive around town even in Green Zones with restricted traffic. The new SUV PEUGEOT e-2008 does not have a specific silhouette but will be identifiable by a few details : a sparkling dichroic Lion, whose reflections alternate between green and blue depending on the angle of view, a specific "e" monogram on the front wings and tailgate, an elegant body-coloured grille with horizontal lamp pods, exclusive Alcantara© "Greval Grey" seat upholstery on the new SUV PEUGEOT e-2008 GT and finally, the on-board experience is completed by a display specific to the electric version in the 3D handset as well as in the touch screen.

Active Safety Brake and Distance Alert
The Distance Alert function enables the driver to prevent his vehicle from colliding with the vehicle in front or a pedestrian in his lane.
The Active Safety Brake (emergency brake function) makes it possible to detect moving or stationary obstacles. It helps to avoid a collision or reduce the severity of a collision by reducing the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention.
Warning of unintentional lane changes
With a camera that can distinguish between solid and broken lines, the lane assistant for warning of an unintentional lane change recognizes the unintentional longitudinal marking on the road.
The system evaluates the driver's attention by means of the road markings i determined deviations from the lane. After three warnings of the first stage (message telling you to stay alert, combined with an acoustic signal), the system issues another warning and prompts you to take a break, accompanied by an even clearer acoustic signal.
The robust body shape with flowing lines and generous exterior dimensions gives an idea of the efficiency and controlled power of the new SUV PEUGEOT 2008. Its expressive front, its almost horizontally positioned bonnet and its increased ground clearance impress in combination with a taut lines and muscular side flanks. At the rear, the spoiler reinforce the shiny black rear panel and the chrome exhaust pipes i his athleticism and his determined character.

Great review. Took delivery o Of a GT 130 auto last march. Absolutely a fantastic car with amazing build quality. A dream to drive and in this fusion orange really stands out. Highly recommended.
Took delivery of 2008 GT Line 130 EAT8 last week, really fantastic car, wished you had touched on the audio system more as the Focal that was on your test model is so much better than the standard setup, I had on mine as an option and I’m so glad I did, it also has 8 different ambient light colours to choose from which I don’t think you mentioned, overall great car really enjoying it.

One thing that you could try to include is to think about to whom one particular car would be a wise choice because the need of people differs a lot during different phases of their life. There won’t ever be a car that would be a “test winner” for all people. Great job!

Hello from Portugal 🇵🇹 I love this new 2008... Peugeot really elevated the quality of their cars these last years...But I saw your POV of Captur too... And I loved both cars... And I'm between this two... Witch one you think is more confortable? And the sound isolation? And suspension? Thank you and keep goind with you awesome videos

Hi! excellent review!! What about the material inside front doors at this car (Gt line-alcantara etc)? Today I checked a peugeot 2008 active. The carbon fiber and over carbon fiber materials at the front doors were cheap and plastic. Not like the front side inside car

Does this Peugeot 2008 have auto hold option similar to VW? - Meaning I dont have to hold the break pedal while waiting on traffic lights. Because in some cars its really annoying to always hold the break pedal to not move.

Congratulations an excellent video. I can see that you like this SUV a lot ha ha ha,, It looks very nice inside and out. I understand it's 3 cylinder vehicle, I never had a 3 cylinder. My question is: with 4 passengers a couple of suitcases and up hill road this engine will respond well. I live in a mountainous area. greetings from Colombia South America. I think the car with 3 cylinder will do just fine on a hill with 4 persons. They improve alot this engines. Now 3 cylinder are like 4 before. You can make a drive test and check for yourself 👍👍

As long as you know what to do and when to do it when driving uphill, you should be fine. Peugeot's 3 cilinder engines are very powerful all things considered. Its just the sound it makes that some people have to adjust to (I personally love the sound, made me choose this one over a 4 cilinder Captur).

Anybody have problems with the 3d i-Cockpit in the 2008? I seem to be getting ice crystals forming behind the perspex and the colder its getting the more its covering the display. Anyone else have this problem?

Nice car, i ordered one in the same color GT Line 130 Auto, with sunroof and Focal sound system, it's arrived in the UK distribution center today the 17th March, i can't wait to get it, i would have liked you to go through the Focal sound system and demo that though, but i suppose I've not got too long to wait.

Hi yes I got the 2008 nimbus grey with the hi fi in it, love the car drives great the hi fi sounds brilliant very happy with the whole thing

Why did you wait until battery was 90 degrees before going in to sport mode?

I wait until the water temperature from the engine to be 90 degrees because it is safer for the car, it doesn't force the mechanical pieces and the engine will last longer. It is not good to over accelerate when the engine it is not warm enough

Visibility is Ok on every car but, what about fuel consumption for this small car? city 11-12l/100km? Average 9l/100km. (normal - real drive). You forgot this interesting detail.

Car is OK. The price does not mirror real car value. Maybe it is good by the Swiss standards but for that price in other countries you can get something better.
