Mandy and her Bunny if he doesn’t want to wear a harness don’t put him in one. harnesses can do a lot of damage. watch lennon the bunny. a lot of things said by media is wrong. bunnies should not be caged, should be indoors, preferably free roamed or with a large x pen, and shouldn’t have carrots on a regular basis. they should have unlimited hay, and veggies. that’s the main diet. a very occasional treat of a carrot or a bit of banana is fine.

Rabbits are never a mistake. You just brought yourself the best blessing you could ever think of. And those words come from someone who had a rabbit once and lived almost 12 years.

My Bunny Girl has lost her ability to hop, it's breaking my heart.,. They're so precious...I cant understand how People can get a Beautiful little BabyBunny and discard it in a rescue b4 it's even a yr old !! Rescues are full of Them...but then theirs people that stick them in a hutch..Which is actually a life sentence, a prison cage.. People where are your consciouses ??Havevyou thrown your conscious away too. Bunnies are so emotionally intelligent ,Bundles of perfect Love, Understand their need to feel safe and their need to be with you, part of a family, included but wiv their needs considered ,they need social interaction, acknowledgement, and they need hay..all day ,access to hay & Water in every room..They dont want to be shut away,isolated...xx xx

@@mummybunny331 I’m sorry about your bun:( I keep mine in an extra room in the house that connects to our backyard. (they go out when they please, usually to try to get at our basil. They gave up tho so they just stay under the tree/shrubs and passion fruit vine :/) And I can agree, my buns have shown the intelligence to learn how to climb the stairs in our house, learned to do this random begging trick I taught them and how to recognize their names! I pet them 1-4 hours a day on average and they love it! They are amazing emotional support and I feel like I can tell them anything and they will never judge me! (Not like the will understand what I’m saying but Ik they listen) Even tho your rabbit can’t hop now I hope I hope you and your bun the best of luck! I’m guessing your bun is super old now… Please cherish your bun I alr lost one of mine… He lived a good life of 9 and half years :( (really proud of that since the breed usually only lives around 8-10 years)

I love when bunnies stand up! My bun bun used to do this randomly in his hutch, we called him our little meercat rabbit

Keely Otto I say it because of his weight and the size of the piece, even if it’s not every day. That a lot of sugar, and he’s a baby it’s like giving a baby a king size candy bar. I’m not saying it to be a spoil sport. Just sayin’. I want this bun to live a long healthy life.

@@Theguywithspectacles trust the others here, you don't want to give a pet rabbit or any rabbit too much carrot.

Bunny diet: 80% hay (Timothy hay for adults, alfalfa hay for babies. They should always have free acces to hay, which should be placed where the bunny uses the bathroom, the litter box) 15% Leafy greens (different kinds of lettuce) 3% pellets (You don't have to feed them pellets, but if you do, in small amounts and a healty brand) 2% treats (other vegestebals such as carrots. Try to avoid those yogurt drops and products like that, as they are filled with suger)

@@urithrocio2646 So Timothy hay is not a brand but a type of hay. Alfalfa hay contains a lot of calcium and should only be fed to rabbits under 8 month old, or if a vet tells you to feed alfalfa hay to a adult, you should do that. If alfalfa hay is fed to a adult it can lead to the bunny being overweigh and be very low on nutrions. There are different kinds of good timothy hays for your adult rabbit. Timothy should be the go to hay for adult rabbits as it provides the exact amount of protein and nutrien an adult rabbit need. Anything that is not markedet timothy hay, i would avoid. What happens if you feed your rabbit hay that is not timothy hay, is that it can lead to overweigh and give your bunny poor nutrions. Generally avoid hay that is very dusty or brown. I'm not sure what happens if you don't feed a baby rabbit alfalfa hay, but it's the best to just do it. Try and search for Lennon the Bunny hay and pick the first video that comes up. She goes over a bunch of the different kinds of hay there are and what their effect is on your rabbit.

I fed my bunny with pellets before this, and then i do a research about bunny food and everything (becuz i bought the bunny unplanned with my mom and its was supposed to be a birthday present to my lil sis and bro but i ended up im the one take care of them) and found that they need hay. So i told my mom and go to the pet store. There's only Timothy hay that i thought i search good for the bunny. But then i realized it's for adult bunny and my bunny is three months old and one a half month old. Is it still okay to give them Timothy hay? And i should give them less pellets then. (Becuz my mom said they only need to eat pellet so we gave them like a lot before do the research)

Rabbits should not have fruits or vegetables until 6 months of age. I recommend the house rabbit society for better information on rabbits. They are usually mistreated because people think they are easy pets sadly :(

@@MamtaKumari-st1gu just young rabbit pellets and unlimited hay. Id mix timothy with alfalfa. Once they are 6 months get rid of the alfalfa. They can try thumb size pieces of leafy greens but thats about it

My cat and rabbit play tag with eachother and my cat is super gentle with her. Unless my rabbit goes into heat and comes after him, then he just pushes her head into the floor and stairs her down 🤣🤣🤣

@@moonandsimba8851 No you aren't supposed to really give any amount of carrots until 6 months into their life, because even the tiniest amount of carrot is a lot of sugar to them. if you overfeed them sugar rich foods, they'll get sick much easier than we do. treats like carrots should only take up 2% of their natural diet. do research on what your bunny should eat, there's videos and articles all around to inform you.

That is not a mistake that is a blessing from God. take good care of him

I’m pretty sure rabbits can’t have dandelion flowers, but they can absolutely have dandelion greens. I also wouldn’t feed them much of that at all until 5/6 months.

@@kaylind.1804 No, they absolutely can have dandelion flowers, just in smaller amounts. &, of course, there are the dandelion look-alike plants (with the leaves growing out of the stem rather than at the bottom) which shouldn't be fed to bunnies at all since they're toxic

Try hand feeding a squirrel. They bite hard and will draw blood but trying to get them to let go is more trouble than that.

I have a baby mini lop too , they are such angels 😇

The best way we give our rabbit some carrots is he is able to have 2 tbsp. twice a week ( in total ) our vet has said that is a good proportion for him he is a netherland dwarf and he weighs around 2 lbs.

Don't feed fruits or veggies to your buns when they're young! I know it's soooo tempting, all I wanna do with my bunny rn is do videos like this 😭😭 but their little tummy aren't able to handle foods like this until they're 6 months, they could get some digestion issues and if it's constant they could become sick 💔💔 such an adorable bunny tho!! Just wanted to spread a little knowledge for any future bunny parents out there

I did the same "mistake" :) The best "mistake" of my life. The little bastard completely hijacked my heart and I had no idea I could love this little animal so deeply i would sacrifice absolutely everything without hesitation for it's well being. Bunnies are just AMAZING ! Love them and they will repay you with the same love unconditionally.

All you guys freaking out over the carrots had me thinking about how I reacted when my friend would feed her rabbit biscuits and whatever else she had. I already had issues because her dad basically stole the baby from their wild rabbit mum and then gave it to her. I love my friend but I fear for her poor rabbit, she refuses to listen and I'm surprised the rabbit is still alive tbh... 😕

If it was a wild rabbit, they have a different digestive abilities than domesticated rabbits. Although it is bad, but wild rabbits are tough.

Please do your research their are a lot of misinformed people here Im seeing. But yes holland lops get up to 4 lbs. If you feed them correctly and get a lot of exercise. The Netherland dwarf will stay the smallest, or the hotot. They are adorable too because they are white and look like they have winged eyeliner. They have super cute personalities as well.
