I am like 100% sure Microsoft is just tired of CCleaner-like apps and want people to rather install this, even though it's doing nothing more than the system itself does. They even created a placebo bubbly-button to "optimize".

CCleaner is now so unsafe since it's take over from Avast who're known as data stealers and as a rootkit than actual security, which we have known since it's creation in the 1990s, anyone that uses it puts their computer and data in danger. I think cleaning from storage settings is good enough it cleans temp files and that's all we need.

I Doownloaded this and uninstalled CCleaner cause CCleaner itself can cause issues becuase they are not the ones to write Windows. I think windows knows best anyways and safe to use this software than CClearner. Gone are the days we had to have 3rd party apps :) Microsoft will; imprve on thee as well.

​@@nerijus7 It's good to hear norton bought out avast with ccleaner cos finally someone got avast off the market after years of being a data mining company. However we don't really need software anymore when we can go to the storage settings in windows 11, then for any tracking cookies run super anti spyware that removes them it's so much safer.

There doesn't seem to be anything extra that you can't already do within the System settings and Windows Security. It's just an user-friendly app with everything accessible at one spot. But why this wasn't integrated into system as such in the first place, who knows... Maybe people just like "apps" that much.

I hate system settings so much though, it's slow, hard to navigate and it crashes a lot. I hope that Microsoft will switch from uwp to something actually good.

why they not just integrate this in Settings? it makes more sense. Also there is that task manager.

It's good to see Microsoft going forward with how we can manage our computer !

Everything will be same. They are just adding skins over skins. Everything you can do in PC if you have basic knowledge

microsoft is creating too many apps, why not integrate it in the task manager, looks pretty good there

The only thing that seems kinda weird for me is the Boost First of all, what does the Boost does to your computer, how can it get you better performances ? In an ideal world, you shouldn’t have to use any kind of boost, the OS should always give you the best performances possible without a Boost

No? The “boost” is simply eliminating processes that aren’t being used or hasn’t been used in a while. There’s good reason for the OS to not do that constantly.

@@phizaal yes it’ll stop the processes mainly MS bloatware but I still wouldn’t fully recommend it since there is no way for me or you to tell it what to not stop

@@BreadBanana my guess is that it frees standby memory ram, which is not being used at the moment but it's reserved for some apps. If you tinker with the Resource Monitor you can check that.

So a Configuration Panel, a Settings app and now also a PC Manager? Maybe try a Preferences app next time?

This has been there for less than year but its so good with no bloatware

I have windows 11 installed in my laptop and windows 10 installed to my main pc.. why windows 10 still feel more responsive and fluid

I have been using it since the very first time it was announced on W10 and I have never seen a black UI for it.

So is this like MacPaw's CleanMyPC?

Looks like this is an app for people who have some reasonable tech understanding, but wouldn't be considered super users. Most of this stuff has other ways to access it, or registry modifications that can be made to do the changes you care about long term. Still think it will be a useful tool for a lot of people.

Idk, I remember when I first saw the link, it had references to Baidu on the page's code, and the Microsoft logo wouldn't send you to the official Microsoft website, it also had a Chinese language for whatever reason, so it seemed non-official to me, I will only believe if I find this directly on Microsoft's website (not just the url because there are ways to fake that) or an official blog post or something from Microsoft talking about it.

Right click them will yield expected different results. Left click them give unexpected identical results, which makes no sense at all. 🤡

This is the most functional thing I've seen from Win 11/10/8 MS has be concentrating on too much how Windows looks and not at all on functionality.

23h2 will roll out to devices in phases.....i too just received it yesterday...Be patient it will come soon or you can do a complete new setup of windows 11

Mobilefied Windows 11 lol... but as a loyal Edge user, nudging user to use Edge is bad not to mention illegal in EU (and supposedly US before the corpos force law to bow to them), and idk about IOS but Android doesn't slap you for defaulting to, like, Edge (which is bad in mobile due to lack of DoH setting) or Brave (basically the best browser on mobile)

I installed the update to 23H2 and now it has removed my Nvidia High Resolution audio and only providing audio from my laptop. I f.... hate microsoft.
