@@DnDimo Not much, the video is basically him playing survival bow while praising longsword because he can kill timmies with a 3k+ gear on equipped (everything he does with that longsword would've been better with a falchion)

i'm gonna honest the survival bow is so boring. We are 7 minutes into the longsword wideo before any longsword fighting even happens 🥲 this is not your fault of course, it's just a shame that's how the game is right now.

@@notsure4666 budget is 1k or under for me. I can get that much in 1-2 normal runs if I'm min maxing gold. 3k is mid tier set and anything 6k and up is high tier set.

i thought the same thing my first week. but no, a full set of cheapest green gear will be at least 400 gold, assuming you buy it all. I usually do a grey lobby run, upgrade my gear there and use the gold i make to fill in whatever i didn't find, like a new weapon and chest piece. That kit is now worth 500-800 gold but i paid nothing but one

I want to use longsword as a general weapon on my warlock with a second slot of orb kris knife. Am I settling myself up for failure?

I exclusively play longsword fighter. You can never catch decent rangers or warlocks and get out dps'ed in ranged. Rogues with green gear 3 shot you after going invis. Longsword left click is slow enough that dex classes can get away from you before the hit connect even if you have sprint up. Longsword needs a rework, nerf on parry buff on speed.

I just rolled a lobby with long sword fighter in duos so good

Would you change any perks for this build if you were actually using the parry on the long sword? 🤔

Why does it seem no one uses the divine blade? It has great stats and is generally much cheaper than the longswords from from what I can tell, is a longsword.

What does min-maxing mean?

what is this new patch gonna mean? I always see it on everyones yt videos in the title but nothing has changed or nothing depending this has changed.. so its just a broken build not dependend on the latest patch/patches right?

well New patch, came out couple of days. There is number of builds that came with it. (Basically new patch means most up to day build or something) In couple of weeks I will change names and titles of old Wideos so they will not have new patch in the title. So that if any one get to see New Patch Wideo they will get the most up to date build/gameplay.

I don't know why they hold block so much i hold block and if i get hit twice i usually back up try to heal while i use my basic attacks when there fully committed thats when i usually hold block abit longer maybe 3 hits if im full hp

cheap and effective stats, 1.5-2.5k per good build with 150 health 50% pdr and around 290 ms

Most longsword fighters are shitters, because they think holding block forever to riposte is actually smart. That type of thing gets them shit on in every melee slasher. Don't hold block. You parry at the last second IF it's the right play, and that's it. It's fine to hold block against mobs that don't have brains, but doing it against players is literal bot behavior. Dimo it's definitely worth trying to parry bot barbs that get close. Big slow axe is easy to catch, and counterattack puts them down

since the game came to steam i've gotten every character to lvl 40-50 but my fighter is lvl 90 and i use longsword only, love the weapon. The hardest thing to defeat in my opinion are people good at dragging their hitboxes around your parry

Parry is good with proper timing. Holding it like a bot as most longsword mains do is just pure stupidity. You do it IF the situation requires it and only at the last second. It's fine to hold it against mobs because they don't have brains.

Druid would be fine if there was a casting time to change forms. Even 1 second would make a huge difference. That, and one more nerf would make them strong, but bearable.

You know what's broken? The Druid being able to turn into a rat 247 and never having a cool down on it. They instantly run away every single time, you can't catch them and hardly hit them and they can stay like that as long as they want. There needs to be a cool down for it!

I don't know why longsword is so slept on, especially in solos. It has a great movespeed penalty and solid damage and DPS. Also, parrying is honestly a kind of stupid mechanic. I understand that there is a decent skill floor to learning how to parry all the weapons/attacks you'll run into in the game, but the amount of damage it churns out from 1 mistake on your opponents end is way too heavily skewed in the longswords favor. If you take both ripostes you are either dead, or about to be dead.

There is so mutch counterplay against longsword, it just isnt viable. Also the movement speed penalty on hit is certainly not good, it actually is laughable, the falcion has a much higher on hit slow than the longsword even though it is a 1h weapon. Also servers are a huge problem while playing longsword. But i agree they should lower the riposte damage. But they need to fix the mentioned problems first or else it will be not usable

@@tolgavegeta Wasn't talking about the on hit slow, which definitely could be better, I was talking about the movespeed penalty for having the weapon equipped. Servers are definitely a huge issue for the weapon, but they definitely giveth and taketh awayeth lol. They definitely take away more than they give though. I've used it a decent amount myself and don't think it's broken by any means, just not the low tier trash that a lot of fighters think it is. I think the first attack animation could use some love for sure, way too slow of a wind up, and very easy to respond to in a lot of situations.
