Love all of your videos Ken. Remembered this video with the Flare Retro brush. Found the original Erskine brush that the Flare was crafted after on EBay the other day. Beautiful vintage brush. Gonna replace the knot with a 24mm white synthetic like the Flare. Since watching your 2 part video on restoring the Ever Ready brush, I’ve restored 10 brushes so far with 5 more vintage on the way and new knots. It’s really a lot of fun bringing these old brushes back to life. Keep up the great videos. Vince.

I did not really notice how attractive that shade of blue on the razor's handle is. It is good to see something other than nickle plated silver or gold tone. Equally, I am sorry that you had to shave for so sad an occasion but happy that you did not slice yourself into bits and pieces. ;-)

Great shave Ken💈💈 CK-6 is hard to beat soap, I have several now and always a great experience. That EJ razor is nice for the price, wondering what part/s are stainless steel, head, handle etc.? Hahaha, Feather blade really took its toll. Gotta love the burn brother😮 Another nicely done video and review👍 Enjoy!

Hey Ken, sorry to hear about your friend’s loss. Great shave video with excellent products. I guess PAA Tombstone AS would go very well with this new tobacco scent soap. I love Tombstone, incredible scent. Otherwise Cavendish would be a good choice.

Man, that razor looks really cool! Love it. It all depends on the price. If it is not THAT expensive i might get my first Edwin Jagger ;-) You need overhang??? I don´t! I love my Razorock Game Changer .84P with no overhang. Great Razor! I never had problems with overhang but with that razor i realized how nice it is without it! At tightening the razor for example. MUch better!! Great shave my friend!!

After you finish using the Alum block do you wash your face of it. Then finish off with after shave ?

Nice shave, and review Ken. Just wandering if you have given the Stirling Haverford a try. Nice tobacco scent with a touch of vanilla. The aftershave has just a little bit more vanilla scent than the shave soap to me.

Would you recommend this brush if one already has the Trafalgar T3?

Other than the Stainless steel finish, is this supposed to be more aggressive than the DE89 Ken? Just checking to see the major differences between the two razors. Thanks for your time.

I can conform that EJ razors ain’t breaking from a falling, though their acrylic handles on some models crack right of the box 😪 mine is still holding almost a year and crack doesn’t come wide. And I know some buyers have same issue. I don’t know… was it partial batch of models or just some of us got “lucky”.

MidwayShooter tbh Feather blades are the only ones that give me a real shave. But they are not the smoothest by any means. My go to blade is Personna American Medical Grade.

John Goard There are some people (smokers and non) that like that pipe tobacco scent. Not the burning tobacco smell...lol

By the way. Looks like that information with the feather blades was proofen wrong. They are both holding 5 pieces. So it is only Black for Japan, yellow for out of Japan... I will travel there in August (visiting relatives) and i will look for the black feather blades, Kai blades and that Popular razor!!

good shave. why don't you use shave foam or shave gel. I like the spark in your eyes when you see a new shaving product. just like when a kid sees a new toy.

Hey Ken I've never given it a try but have you ever used Declaration Grooming's Leviathan soap? From what I've heard it has a deep rich tobacco scent. From the other soaps I've tried from them it was extremely silky.

Great shave. I'm surprised by how the new EJ razor can withstand the impact of an accidental drop. Probably they added stronger material to the model or something like that? I can't believe the new models can survive a fatal accidental drop like that. Have great day

I think you can not compare a stainless steel razor which is solid and machined with the others which are diecast materials and chrome finish. They will get much more problems if you drop them...

Ok , that might change soon... The gamechanger cost me 78 Euro from them. It is a fair price for that quality razor that might hold a life time...

I have a Edwin Jagger DE89... a simple solution to not have your razor slip out of your hands.... use a dry bath towel to wipe the soap and water off your hands and razor handle... keep your hands dry!
