"It’s just not one of those more modern, kind of tech-forward, multi-revenue generating arenas that are out there that the NBA wants," Jake Madison said.

The whole state isn’t coming up pace with anything
Our streets aren't keeping pace with the cars on it. Fix the neighborhoods, the roads and deal with the countless empty buildings on roads like oretha castle Haley Blvd.

Should move to either San Diego, Kansas City or Montreal
Demolish the Smoothie King Center and build a new one on the same site. Let the Pelicans play in the Superdome for two years.
The smoothie king center is pretty nice inside. Sit in any of the huge "club level" areas, and the secluded eating areas are excellent.
Wait for a hurricane to do some severe damage. File an insurance claim and then build a new arena. Profit.
Hopefully next year they make some good renovations like they are doing in the SuperDome!!!
Sounds like Louisiana problem. Our state is goin’ backwards at the moment!

@jasonmartinez5116 it's way before Katrina when you have the city/state pocketing all the money.

How would Bell Center (Montreal) or PPG Paints Arena (Pittsburgh) stack up to the Smoothie King Center?
I still vote for new WNBA, XFL, USFL, NWSL, MLS, MLB, NHL and MLR teams in New Orleans, Louisiana
Kendrick Perkins gone have a field day with this

i would have thought the talent of the players is what it takes to compete in the NBA. I mean a high school team cant compete so it is the talent of the player not the talent of the venue

Revenue sharing of leagues income. This is the reason why all in nba teams and other big 3s leagues competing on. If a team doesn't compete in modern arena, culprit of unreasonable increase in ticket prices , the league will kick out the team from leagues revenue sharing. The owners doesn't want a small contribution in leagues income/shares and getting a big amount of equal shares in the end just to keep afloat around. The only way to increase the team revenue and contribution, the team must built or threat to leave just to get expense of b*llsh*t taxpayers money just to build the arena for them.
well the state should help out with the renovations when its time to pick up the tab...in other words PAY FOR IT
Las Vegas: 👀🏀💰💰💰
A little better? No. A lot better!
They still not gone win no finals or make it out the playoffs go build a school or some
Birmingham would be glad to take it
Tell the city of new orleans stop giving prisoners a/c units and we can have better streets If it was up to me send them all to state pen up north, jail should be for minor offenses with less than 5 years
Adam silver should pay for every new state of the art stadium with the owners
Zion's contract would have been better spent on upgrades.
Move them to KC if this doesn't work out
Always tryna move the team. They aggy with this
If it ain't 1 thing it's another
We need to quit being cheap and move the stadium by the convention center. Build a hotel in the convention center and make it worth our time and money.

Bro, what the heck are you talking about? The Superdome is under renovation and it’s also one of the nicest stadiums in the NFL. New Orleans is also a very big city.

Do some research because wherever you got your information from his flawed. New Orleans is not small by any means, and the Superdome is not bad by any means and is currently under renovation, so it’s getting even better by the year. The hell you talking bout?
