Guys i'm not kidding this song has stuck in my head for a month and i'm really addicted to it. Everyday in every week I will listen to this song and i'm not getting tired of it. Updated: it's been 3 years and yes I am still unable to stop listening this song, the addiction is now at the chronic level.

The vocals are killer... I could dance and sing this all day!
been listening to it since 1987 and it STILL pumps me with endorphins. TIMELESS
Remember that ALL of today’s modern trends… the infancy of the internet, talking on the phone just to talk for no reason, discotheques that became rave parties, etc. started in the 1980s. British comedian Stephen Fry directed a film called “Bright Young Things” and whenever I see the film, I think of this song.
I know this is illogical to think, but as I look back at the 80's I miss it. When I was there, I didn't appreciate what I was experiencing. I know there was bad stuff and it wasn't all so wonderful, but when I listen to these songs of my youth it makes me reflect on all those good things. That's what I miss. Friends. Family. Faded romances. All those words I should have said, and those I regret. That's what I want to relive so that I can give the respect those memories deserve.

I totally agree.. but I wonder sometimes....does someone older than me feel the same about the 60s or 70s.....younger feel that way about the 90s/ 2000s??? Is it really the music itself, or just the timing of our youth matching the music of the day?

It's not illogical. We were happy, and we took it for granted that it would last. Very normal. ❤

I feel so extraordinary Something's got a hold on me I get this feeling I'm in motion A sudden sense of liberty I don't care 'cause I'm not there And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow Again and again I've taken too much Of the things that cost you too much I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun When I was a very small boy Very small boys talked to me Now that we've grown up together They're afraid of what they see That's the price that we all pay Our valued destiny comes to nothing I can't tell you where we're going I guess there's just no way of knowing I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun I feel so extraordinary Something's got a hold on me I get this feeling I'm in motion A sudden sense of liberty The chances are we've gone too far You took my time and you took my money Now I feel you've left me standing In a world that's so demanding I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun Depend on the morning sun Depend on the morning sun Morning sun Morning sun

Try qigong for anxiety it will help big time. As for this tune british music at its best. I wonder did this hit the US?
THIS is the version I know. The shorter version (to me) is an edit for single release and the "extended remixes" are just disco versions for dance clubs. I don't know why this version makes me cry but I'm sure it's because of whoever I was dating back then and the girl before her and the girl before her. I wonder if they ever think of me but it no longer matters. Those days are gone and those chances are lost. That life is over. If they have any regrets, it's far too late. This song brings all that back. It certainly doesn't make me happy, but it's a reason this song is so important to me and possibly to others.
Best Song of tha 80tiz
