This is the best skate map in any skate game so far, I hope they keep them coming.

You’re such a G for shouting out Silent Mike, had some good times with that dude.

I'm glad they finally put out a map of real spots and not another abandoned something-or-other that happens to have spots in it. First time since 1.0 dropped.

@@tommycoleman6048 You or I aren't going to trespass in an abandoned park or mall to skate some death trap gaps and Clipper shoehorned into the aesthetic of Skate It. Going to a school on the weekend to skate their 16 stair set or a massive grass gap is much more realistically feasible.

First. Never stop hopping fences. 2nd you can (or at least could) rent a day at the water park. Just because someone may be afraid to trespass doesn't make it not a real spot.

For the pole jams I find power sliding into a board slide is the easiest. Also if you hold up and down on the sticks like a 50-50 it’s possible but have to be perfectly lined up. Can’t wait to try it after work today!! 🥳

Yup that’s what I do is power slide, or just flick down instead of up and low pop instead of a full Ollie.

Hollywood 12 & 16 Set, El Toro, Carlsbad, and Leap of Faith to name a few is insane. This has made the game even more fun!

Yeah it’s a bit buggy, but there isn’t a single skateboard that is more satisfying either. I can’t wait for them to add more animations as well like just getting on and off the board properly lol and vert. But trust me man street skating wise it’s 1000% more satisfying than anything else. As long as you aren’t looking for a easy skate game like Tony hawk

@@zero8802 Not sure why you're trying to sell me on the game because I bought it at launch? It's good, but not great. I still think XL has it beat in overall fluidity of the movements, but Session has the edge in regard to what it offers the player package wise. Between lack of throwdown animations, lack of proper goofy stance, input delay, consistent physics issues, inconsistent pop-out inputs, horrid transition gameplay, and the fact some people still can't activate certain historical challenges... I don't know, after a year and a half, I just have 0 confidence. I think the way it is now is most likely how it's gonna be in a year.

I was torn between skater xl and session at first, i liked that skater xl does have most the transitions that sessions is missing pretty much, but the character animations and pushing just looks kinda funny to me on xl, but the main factor for me was it seemed like you can’t get off your board at all. Like how long ago was Tony hawk underground now lol. Sadly we are stuck with these more buggy indie titles now. Really hoping skate 4 doesn’t let us down, though I don’t know how I feel about “skates” 1 stick trick setup now after being use to controlling both feet lol. Popped skate 3 on awhile back ago and if just felt weird now, and way to magnetic for how hard brings try to pull you. Oh I should point out that I’m having to pick between the two on PlayStation, skater xl I know is way better once you start modding it from what I have heard atleast

The map looks congested or gameplay? Cuz if you’re talking about the map, that could be because the map is a combination of multiple spots in different areas.. Hollywood High set is in Hollywood. Carlsbad Gap is in Carlsbad, California. El Toro High School is a different location/school than both the other two.

All i want is tribute trick! So dont think we get tired of them!😊

Hell yeah good stuff man! I love this map so much, haven’t skated anything else since it came out There is so much here, cost me $8 in the US. A meal from McDonald’s costs more than this map. Pre pandemic this would have felt like spending $4

Great video, man! And I'm definitely glad they added all the iconic spots into this map. But I can't front, the scale and proportions of some of these spots seem WAY off, tbh. Like you said in the video, you did the Leap of Faith no problem, when it ABSOLUTELY should be a problem lol. And it was especially telling when you got to El Toro. You straight up cleared it and then some every single time lol. You should just barely be making that, realistically lol. I guess you could tweak the gameplay settings to make the gaps harder and feel more realistic, but Idk. Maybe I'm just being a realism snob lmao.

Hey dude, if you want to stop your camera from bugging and clipping through objects that you trick over, up your vertical follow for it. It makes the game A LOT cleaner and looks much better when you skate. You just barely have to up it for it to be good.

do still turn with triggers? have they fixed that?

Is this map actually worth the price? Because I gotta say, the water park and the mall map were huge letdowns and I felt like I wasted my money. Would love a response because I do love this game (244 hours logged into it, I BETTER love it) and I'm tired of being let down by everything new that comes to the game lately.

They absolutely butchered the push with this update

"Let's not do any of the fixes or features we promised, just release paid DLC." - crazy thing is, I would be willing to pay for a DLC that would actually bring in all those features and fixes, instead of some random map.

must be nice to shell out below average maps and not fix anything gameplay wise.

Agree 😂 lots of incredible community built maps. Imagineee being the GM of this game and choosing not to invest in proper motion capture and fixing bugs and input lag. Like the foundational core of a skate game is the animation. Wtf is going on 😂. Great video ! 🖤 I bought the dlc to support them anyways. Here's to dreaming

You need money to pay for an animator. What do you think most of these DLC’s have been put towards? Fixing patches, and trying to find another animator that will stay in the band long enough to make some progress. Most of y’all are fucking bums too cheap to spend $8 to support and contribute to their cause though and would rather complain, but will buy a combo meal. This is the session community “Hey can you fix all the bugs, redo all the animations without contradicting any other function in the game, and give us all the DLC’s for free” it’s people like you that contribute to the game losing steam and momentum. Either support the developers and game or shut the hell up.

Session should make a physic and camera update instead of working on maps. The walking/running animation of the character seriously looks like something from 2008. The animations for tricks and landing is a little better but needs an update as well for sure.

2024 and this game still looking like a beta.

@@RubyRoks Just because a game is RELEASED doesn't mean that it's FINISHED. Session is not finished, it's full of experimental features, bugs, and half-baked animations. Those are facts, not opinions.

@@Solaxer I've played so many games on the N64 and PS2 that had partially implemented features, far worse bugs, and animations the quality of which I could personally make that never got updates. They were finished games. Session is no different from the Superman 64s, Daikatanas, Project Snowblinds or Advent Risings of the world. It IS finished.
