    Great tutorial, very informative! EPS plaster-coated coving is perfect for DIY jobs - it's budget-friendly, moisture-resistant, and adds tons of style. Homemerce is my go-to for coving and trimming. They have a huge range, great quality, and unbeatable prices. Everything is designed for easy DIY installation and a custom, high-end finish.

    Don't spur off of a spur without a fused connection first and always buy the best led's you can afford with an aluminium channel and diffuser. They will last a lot longer and when you're putting them on like this you'd have to trash everything to replace them.

    Thank you so much for this! I'm just about to do the same but with downlight coving so will definitely think about where I place the LEDs before I stick anything up!

    This looks brilliant! Did you consider using an aluminium profile within the coving to help with the effect?

    I was wondering what you used to paint your coving? as the paint I used isn’t covering well when the coving is lit. looks perfect when not lit thought. thanks

    It’s so cool seeing the vision you had for this room come to life bro, even though it’s cost you a day it’s better than you sitting there and not being happy with it when it’s all done. Keep up the drive now mate, on the homestretch 💪🏻

    Thanks man, there has been a few times I've gone "Maybe that idea was pushing it, or maybe that won't work" but end of the day if it didn't work I could always take it down. But so far... touch wood... its all been working.

    I was exactly the same on my first house, and I fucked up many jobs and even flooded a living room. But I just took on jobs I knew if I did something wrong, I could just have another go. So filling in walls, if I did it wrong I could just sand it back again, or hanging skirting, if its wrong I can remove and install it again. Then over time you just try another small job, then another. You will soon get there

    You should stick led strip to the coving....not the wall,this way you would not see spots.

    My leds are flat..facing up to the ceiling and behind the coving so they cant be seen. The light reflects off the ceiling. I did wonder when I saw where you were sticking them. Its an uplight so it should face up 👍🏻

    It’s such a nice light in the room as well as everything is baked in light evenly, there is no bright spots… just pure equal light all over. Well worth doing if you get a chance.

    Hi mate, I am interested in this type of coving from b&q. Slightly put off by the polystyrene but how has it held up after a year?

  • @max_deeds

    2 ways I can see fixing this issue take coving off move LEDs or maybe insert a frosted plastic strip which will disperse the light better

  • @pilks4k
    @pilks4k3 жыл бұрын

    Only way I can think to get even light coverage without the spots due to spacing would be to use ws2812 - 144 LED strips but that would require a custom wiring as I don't think they do those strips in pre-made kits but they would be super bright lol.
