This happened to me just last night. I was candle running in prairie when I saw a moth that looked like it needed help. I set up a chat table and immediately the moth said the same things that were said in the video. Afterward they asked me “where can I find girls” I said “You can only find them in this one area. I can take you there if you want”. They say “Really?” I say “Yup”. So, I ended up taking them to wasteland’s graveyard and I said “They’re just through there”. They said “Ok”. I’m over here like “It’s not that hard”. But then I say “Oh, you have to relive this spirit over here to unlock that door” (I’m talking about Pleaful Parent. One of the HARDEST spirits in game). The moth goes to do what I say to “get girls” but instead gets krilled. For the 1000th time, SKY IS NOT A DATING APP 😂

The little grey chibi casually sleeping and then waking up, staring at you two as if it’s a normal day in Prairie xD

I have yet to meet moths like this. There was one that I met that started talking in binary code when we sat at a bench. I said “Hi, how are you?” And they just went “1010100011111” Then there was this other moth that asked that I called him “egg tart.” And then he asked “so is this the only number you have” and when I asked “of what?” He said “trumpets or something.” I don’t… have any trumpets. My skykid doesn’t even carry a horn. And then he asked “what do you eat for your three meals” and I was SO confused.

A friend of mine befriended a player in Daylight Prairie (He wasn't a moth though). He asked if she wanted to be his girlfriend and ofcourse she said no. After that he kept following her around and whenever she was talking at a table, he would sit down and say "She is my wife", "I am her husband" etc. It's really sad to see that many new players (that I have encountered, atleast) are only interested in dating and not really the game. Luckily there are still cute wholesome new players in Sky and I have befriended many moths for the past 2 months that are currently playing the game happily with their friends!

Don’t worry Im a moth who just played umm 13 days ago? I started on saturday, the first 4 hours I have no idea what to do, then I go to YT guide videos. Right now I’m aiming for 11 stars wohoo, it’ll take 10 weeks at the very least to achieve that since you need 149 ascended candles to unlock all wing buffs. I played this game not for dating but looking for friends and exploring together, sometimes I regret watching the guide videos, but when I saw those wings pattern it looks amazing! Before I thought there are only 5 wedges maximum, then when I reached prairie I saw someone with 8 wedges, 10 wedges and even 11 wedges! I was like wow! I’m gonna go for it! Even though I know now a lot about Sky, I still am a moth hehe

one time i met a random player in home that placed a chat table down, so i went and sat on it and they asked where i was from, i told them where i was from and then they sent a message that had the flags of the countries we’re from with a heart in between them (“🇯🇵💝🇦🇺”). Then told me they were going offline and they’d see me later (which they would not be able to see me later, we never even lit each other up) then they said “love me” and went offline. i was so confused by that interaction but i can have a little giggle about it now and then when looking back at the screenshot of the chat, hopefully that player is doing well now

SAME LOL I HAD SOMEWHAT THE SAME EXPERIENCE I was chatting with this random Japanese player for quite a while at their tea table and when they asked to pardon themselves to leave they left with a "I love you" message (IN CURSIVE FONT HSFDHDG) and disappeared with the table and I'm just there very very confused 😂 But we had a very nice chat tho, I learnt some stuff. I met a skilled player who's first qn was: want to date? IT WAS A SIMP MOTH WHO GREW UP TO BE AN EXPERT CANDLE RUNNER. I turned him down as casually as possible and wished him luck. Since he didn't make a fuss, I also didn't block him as he is a diligent light buddy. From then on, though, I see such messages at the message shrine from time to time: "my lovely wife, Kathy" "I love you" "you are so dear to me"... It's awkward to see it and I sure as hell hope the intended recipient is a willing recipient 😅😅 if not, hope they realised they can just block.

Lmao this makes me glad i live where i do. I’ve only met one person so far who fluently speaks english. The majority of my friends in sky are Japanese with a few being Chinese, Korean and Thai. It gets a little lonely but i’m still glad lmao.

It finally happened tODAY lol and im still laughing- I was in prairie. Was unlucky enough to server merge with like, two other players doing a certain set of emotes and posing themselves that looks veeery specific. And it dawned on me. It was some r-18 time in public space. Nobody does those emotes on accident. So yeah I'm curious how many people genuinely believe this was meant to be a dating game. The friendship tree and emotes definitely facilitate that in recent updates, but y'know. Dev could use more case studies about their audience range. 😂😂😂😂

I have an underlying suspicion that this was staged. Like, made his friend create another account and "add friend" with his friend's original account and then locate on where he (Sky Summer) was then they play an act as a content to fool us. I hope this is not true but you never know!

Actually I hope your theory is true bcz we dont need such toxic people to exist in our Sky Community. It's entertaining to watch these kind of videos but it will ruin the game for us if these kind of players increase. So just report and block if you find these people on Sky. This is staged, they have many videos showing moths have bad sides. Videos like this are turning the community against moths and i've seen it in action when I started a new Sky account. Many confused innocent moths are being pushed away by the Sky community because people think they're all creeps.

The thing is, why tf would you even want to use a video game as a dating app? Like, your not gonna meet someone you’re gonna be able to have a good relationship with. Most people you meet won’t live even near you, and they won’t tell you where they live either cuz thar’s just stupid. And if you get an online partner, what’s even the point? You can talk to them like you would any other friend, but you can’t cuddle or be intimate or even build a proper relationship because it’s in a video game. But, no, seriously, I get anxiety every time I think a player is about to ask my gender and might be about to hit with me. For all they know I could be anywhere from, like, 10 years old to 80 years old. They don't know my age and I don't know theirs, so it's *extra* creepy to me. They could be an adult trying to date a minor or a minor trying to date an adult and they won't know until they specify their ages and even then, one of them could be lying. Even if the people are only "together" in the game and not in real life, I still get creeped out by the idea of it happening at all. "Are you girl?" "Yeah, I'm girl. But I'm also 24 and you're probably a minor. Please don't try to date people through these kinds of things, it's not a good idea."
