I remember hearing that they were actually going to drop Taylor because he didn't meet the physical description of Jacob in the books. I never read them, but apparently he was supposed to be like 6'4 and super buff, use Jason Momoa as a comparison. They were planning on recasting him like Victoria eventually would be. However, Taylor was determined to keep his role, so he beefed up and proved he was worthy of keeping his spot.

I refuse to believe Taylor was 15 when this was filmed..... he’s two years older than me but it makes me feel weird re watching this and wishing Taylor would run shirtless into a forest for me 🙃🥴

2:49-actually. Taylor said that the producers were going to cut him cuz he wasn’t bulky and they were going to go with someone else. So during that summer, he worked out for that role and got to keep it. They didn’t force him, he chose to bulk up to keep the role. I’ve also loved him since his role as Sharkboy in Sharkboy and Lava Girl
