Montech's showing at #Computex 2024 was strong: The company has new budget cases as cheap as $64 for airflow and up to about $200 for a 7-fan case (the King 95 Mega Pro). The company is following-up its King 95 debut with cases like the King 65 Pro, the King 95 Mega, the Sky 3 prototype, and more. We're excited to see how these do in our case benchmarking and in our 2024 Best Cases round-ups this year, because it seems like the fight is fierce for budget cases.

I'm not sure how that justifies it that much, honestly. Since if the fans end up being crap, then you're overpaying for fans you don't need and then need to buy proper fans separately to replace the crap ones.

Montech might be my favourite case company, because it feels like they just value the same stuff as I do. Like their cheaper cases come with plenty of fans and have good airflow - exactly what you need. It feels like they cut the corners in areas that aren't going to matter for people who're looking for a £60 case, and they know that people who're paying £60 for a case probably don't want to have to spend another £20 on fans, they give you what you need.

Agreed. Also, I hope it will be possible to mount the power supply so that its fan can suck in air from the side of the case and can exhaust to the top of the case. In this orientation its switch won't be accessible but I don't see the disadvantage of just pulling the plug at the back.

The HS01 is really interesting, I love the look of the wall between the chambers and the gray they used. it looks modern while mixing in an ugly 90s aesthetic, I love it
I have no idea how you guys are pumping out videos from Computex so quickly. Thanks for the informative content, GN team!
I gotta say, I am thinking about (or rather, preparing to prepare to) building a new system towards the end of this year. I have a few current cases in mind for that. Due to my desk layout, it will have to be a dual chamber layout OR a standard layout with a top-mounted PSU (which are rare these days). Most of the cases I'm considering are priced upwards of 150 bucks, some even above 200 which I find a bit much. So, Montech offering a bunch of interesting cases at a much more reasonable price is very tempting to me - plus a few of their designs deviate from the current industry standards. It's nice to see, and I shall look forward to yours and Jayz and Roman's tests of a few of these.
That sunken case with the twin rear fans is gorgeous. I absolutely love it.
10:23 lols Camera-man! And 'it's the follow-up to the, 'Non-Mega, but Pro" lols
Thanks for all the case reviews. I recently went with a 3000D, which is pretty decent for the price and a drastic improvement in airflow for me, but's it's also nice seeing all the shit I missed out on that I didn't want to pay for.
Montech - you have my respect. Started with some really budget, but good cases, and now evolved to these REALLY cool, interesting, Unique cases.
Nice to see some different concepts going into their case designs! Go Montech! If that strap on the Mini ends up functional/durable, I kind of dig it as a larger LAN box. Looks neat, too, like a hand bag 🙂
Very happy to see more cases coming along. Looking forward to all those mid tower reviews!
Definitely going to be keeping an eye on the HS01. I am a serious SFF PC guy but that case looks incredible, especially at the price point they're aiming for. Excellent coverage as always!

Agreed, that case is the most interesting one to me as well. I hope it will be possible to mount the power supply so that its fan can suck in air from the side of the case and can exhaust to the top of the case. In this orientation its switch won't be accessible but I don't see the disadvantage of just pulling the plug at the back on those rare occasions when it will be necessary to cut power.
Ty for the VOD
The XR and the K65 are really going to shake up the budget case market… most cases that look as nice as they do are well over a hundred
Glad to see Montech covered, also curious is Musetex ever at Computex/other events? Bought a case for my sons PC for cheap and it was great, hinged side panel, mesh front, etc.
I'm one of those people that have their PC on the floor (function over form, sits where fits) so I avoid cases with bottom intake, BUT I can see very clean cable routing possibilities with that power supply placement in the HS01.
@danieloberhofer9035
Ай бұрын
I very much agree on the "no bottom intake when your case sits on the floor" part... but: I've noticed, our of necessity, that the Fractal Torrent's filters work wonders! Had to place mine on the floor (hardwood) for weeks now and apart from having to clean the filters regularly it worked fine. The system's still pretty clean, and that's with having two Persians and a Chow Chow. Fractal really nailed that one.
Montech is my fav case to build in right now. so far i haven't had any real issues with them and the price is right. i've built 4 boxes using the AIR 903 and added my own RGB when someone wants it. i've even done a little simple paint work on one that turned out really nice. great price for a good case. paint the front mesh some wild color, they look great that way. i used day-glow green with dim blue RGB fans on the white variant and the buyer loved it.
I'd like to see cooling component makers research on shroud mechanism to direct air flows right onto specific areas of the case.

I love when cases come with 2x 120-140mm fans rear. I have an old Antec df85 and use it for home media server. has the 2 rear 120, and hotswap 3.5" sata3 x6 in the front of the case, with 3x 120mm fans front. and 2.5" hotswap on top.
Nice to see that wood aesthetic is getting more popular again.
Have been telling everyone about Montech along time ago, glad they are getting their flowers. I was going to buy a Silent Base 802 but those two case fans caught my eye so I will purchase it once amazon uploads it on their storefront.
The HSO mini is my favorite case that you looked at their booth. I am extremely intrigued with this concept, and want to put my primary PC in this case! I frequently disconnect, my PC for my game room, then move it into the living room to game while sitting next to my wife. This would make that process so much easier.
I'm very happy to see front mounted ports! WTH was that case to the right of the King 95 Mega Pro?!
Love how you "quickly" covered their most interesting case there as a "bizarre case" - love some more unique designs in the stale market of case clones
That HS-01 is a fascinating design, VERY different interior layout compared to a lot of other cases, I'm genuinely excited to see the thermal benchmarks on it.
I just bought the king pro on white and is amazing, the air flow is amazing, you can change the front glass for a mashed panel and you have 2 extra slots for mounting 2 more fans for extra cooling, has tons of slots for ssd or hdd.
Really interesting presentation
I’m really enjoying Montechs cases of late. I’m also going to admit, I kinda like the vinyl one a lot! Mot sure about the handle, if the side buttons could come out for a headphone holder…. I’d be interested! Also, where’s their open case fram design from a year or so ago? That was cool to see.
Montech Sky 2 is my current case. Absolutely fabulous! I will do a future build in the K95.
thanks to montech for being affordable, stylish and some pretty unique ideas. $200 WITH 7 FANS. i'd love to see how that performs. these guys, damn they are killing it.
Mad respect to Montech for being original and bringing new excitement to PC's they are doing it right in my book and will be getting my money in the future
Love to see the innovation from a new manufacturer.
Love the tinted glass on the 65. Hope that makes it to market.
Hey Steve, cool you showed up in the intro of video of the Yes-man over on Tech YES City
A K65 in a lighter color (silver?) with a clear glass instead of tinted would quickly find itself on my short list. An XR that took a page from the Fractal Pop's book and put 5.25" bays in the basement would be in my shopping cart instantly. The Sky3 is neat, I'll give credit to that. Don't think I would buy one though.
We need more cases like the Thermaltake V1. So efficient, such good cooling and still uses a full size PSU.
I love the look of the mini, would like a case that would allow for that type of look available in a larger size, however. Maybe if I end up running a small personal server I could grab one of em. Would it come in different colors?
like them all, can't wait
I like the Montech cases with high airflow and low cost (Air 903 Max base for one). Thumbs up!!
The articulating fan mount on the King 95 Mega Pro could use a folding air guide. The way they have it drawing air from inside the case means that fans on that mount are unlikely to be very effective unless there is negative pressure in the case. In regards to the bag case's aesthetics, I think it looks good. Not my cup of tea but it's a unique design that I can see people liking.
nice to see some cool cases that are affordable with good airflow. hoping they smooth out some of the design flaws before launch tho.
Montech has been my favourite case in recent years. Budget, performance and visuals 👍 definitely improving year on year. Exciting

Those are some nice looking cases.
HS01 is really nice looking in grey. Nice to see refreshing approaches. Probably gonna be my next case if they can ship it around amd 9000series x3d.
The upper right power supply location is a great idea for those not using rads/pumps. I'd like to do a build with that. With a modular power supply you would have easier access to the ports. You'd have shorter cable runs. You'd almost want shorter cables to make less cable management.
I use a piece of card stock in the same spot in my NR600 so the bottom fan flows a bit more at the GPU. Solid engineering, that!
Montech raising the bar in the budget realm! I would absolutely consider buying their budget case. The $120 prototype is interesting and I hope to see a full review if it comes to fruition. The Mega Pro was super neat! But it is too much case for me. I'm more of a stealth guy. However, I'd love to see some builds in this case. Great job at first glance, Montech!
Price has to start becoming a core feature with more PC parts, getting so expensive. Good showing from Montech and liked their partnership with GearSeekers too.
MONTECH IS THE RISING STAR OF PC INDUSTRY!

I like the case with the leather strap, looks kinda neat and different
I am very happy with what I'm seeing from Montech.
I would be curious if it might have a noticable effect to adjust the angle the 2x80mm fans are mounted in, so that they are more parallel to the ramp.
Looks like some great stuff coming from montech
The mini is actually perfect for me, I need a work desktop, with a 4090 at least 64 GB of ram ideally 128, and at least the highest end desktop processor, if not a thread ripper, you can get that with micro ATX. And I’ve been dying to get micro ATX cases that are designed as a mini ITX case in terms of space efficiency. This looks absolutely fantastic. It even has a strap to carry it by easily so I can pretty easily put it in my bag take it somewhere deploy it use it for a week come back, and the little vinyl sides Also should help a little bit to absorb a little bit of vibration. Main question is does it have sufficient cooling to put a 9950X and a 4090 or 5090 by that time in there. But yeah, absolutely absolutely get me one
