Finally! The sensual soldering experience I've been waiting for! I saw the other videos popping up in my feed as well. And after watching them all I could think was how our Lord Voultar would come through and show a premium version of this installation. That and some of the ribbon soldering techniques were atrocious.

I learned everything I know about soldering from watching your channel. It inspired me to buy decent gear and supplies, and I got ahold of a scrap board for practice. With your clear, concise instruction I caught on quickly. Since then I've gone on to apply these skills to numerous Electronic, Household, and even Automotive repair and modification applications. Your videos have broadened my horizons and I look forward to each new video.

Thank you Voultar, thank you. I appreciate you putting in the effort to teaching the rest of us, despite this one being for a system you don't even like. I am about to install mine, and have watched PixelFX' own install video, and felt a little iffy about tackling that ribbon cable. I decided to look through your videos for a similar project to see good technique, and fortunately found this one. I don't think I'm ever using desoldering braid again! I keep waffling back and forth between the mClassic with Super64, or doing the HDMI mod. They both have their pros and cons, and the work of installing the N64Digital is well within my skillset, but then again there is satisfaction and bragging rights of "yeah I soldered in an HDMI output" LOL Great video as well. I consider myself highly skilled with soldering, so I always end up critiquing all these install videos in my head, and looking to see if there are methods from others that are worth trying that I could learn something new with, and the way you walk through the steps and error correction is outstanding. Keep up the great work.

    1. Clean your freaking systems before you send them off to get repaired. What if something is still alive when it gets there?? 2. I love this install video. Not removing the expansion pack and leaving the 5,000 screws in the N64 board were a HUGE time saver. 3. I fully agree with the statement about not buying the Ultra HDMI. I finally got my hw2. While I love some of its features, it's only a matter of time before PixelFX catches up with it in firmware updates and then surpasses it. Ultra HDMI v2 is a great product, but for the production time and communication from Marshall it's not worth waiting for when products like PixelFX and Retrotink 5X are finally available. But for anyone that is still in that dumpster fire of a thread, know that Ichinisan and his brother CZroe are working constant late nights to get product into people's hands and refunds back into wallets. It's slow, but it's rolling.

Got HW1 of the mod in 2021, was gonna try to have you install it but your work load was too much. Despite that, you directed me to use the no cut and get retro frog’s adapter which kept me from cutting plastic while keeping my dual output dreams. But after a good year of practice on GB and GBA games and doing a SNESjr RGB install, finally did it myself with your video in combination of LI Retro and Dubesinhower. (I was also able recap the system too) Have a CPU-8 like the video and surprisingly with your methods, absolutely crazy how easy it was to get the main flex cable installed on the cpu legs. Thanks for the vid and personal help, (and the 3 snes boards i busted by pulling pads with bad solder and flux while learning to solder)❤
