Those prices were crazy expensive. I can’t believe how much specimens have gone up up up in price in the last 4 years! With the exception of the fairy quartz there is very little I would have purchased. Thank you for taking us with you

We had a “gem show” recently here in Johnstown, PA, but it was basically a one vendor show. He had a lot of cool stuff, and some good prices. He had this flat of botryoidal chalcedony nodules labeled as something completely different. It turned out to be truffle chalcedony from Morocco(I had to post a pic of mine to a crystal group that I belong to to find out…), and he was only charging $10 each, despite them being large. I also got a piece of charorite, and a few other things, for really good prices.

18:20 Schalenblende is a dominated by Sphalerite, but can contain Marcasite, Pyrite, Galena, and possibly Wurtzite.

Great video Barbie! Love the gemstones. I had never heard of the conglomerate calcite chalcedony which reminded me one of your (and my) favorite stones: cobra jasper. I'm also excited that I'll be going to a gem show tomorrow in Gaithersburg, MD 😀

I don't think that smoky quartz in the beginning is treated! The epidote is an indicator that it is a natural morion quartz coming from Shandong, China

The colorful slices aren't plastic, looks like Fordite. Found in Detroit(car city), it forms from layers of car paint over many years. Named after Ford, the man behind the car

Could you do an explanation on those lab grown crystals 🙏🏾 I had no idea there were so many lab made. I would have been fooled by those quartz look a likes! What should you look for to be able to tell?

Do you have to have a business to go to these gem shows?

How can you tell it’s lab grown without a microscope ???

The prices are crazy. Thought they were supposed to be cheaper. A seller has no profit if they buy from them.

It’s not a wholesale show so they are retail prices, but there some vendors who were prices super low just to get rid of stuff
