ive not tried printing pictures yet, but ive seen other people do that. It will only be black and white though. And not tried a transparent label, i dont imagine you could as it's a thermal printer so it needs something to react with? I might be wrong though

I would assume so, it prints nice and clear and the tape feels the same as other labels

Yes it only prints black and white as it is a thermal printer. You can buy the coloured labels to go in the machine and then it prints black on that.

the thermal paper you are using, did you get if from them, the one with the names, or are you using a different brand?

ave you try another brand of label? does it work? is that any protection for third part label? Currently i have niimbot, it checks label roll via RFID if it is original everything is fine but if it is not orginal, it reduces the printing head's power and printer not useful anymore. this RFID has counter it counts and stop printing. Does Phomemo has this limitations?

yes for sure, I think they do a larger version as well if you're doing it for business and need big shipping labels

No there are 3 different kinds. One that is basic, this is the mid range one, and then one that's larger for proper company shipping labels

Great question. I dont use it hardly at all, and the only reason being is that I had a friend gift me a lovely double dymo label printer. And it prints super fast and i can use my computer with it- which im also faster with. Otherwise i would still use my little one. Though I need labels on some of my new storage in my office so i may just dig this one out again as it has nice small labels.

yes you can get different sized labels to go in the machine. They have some videos and tutorials on their website. Might be helpful in helping you decide. Though if you are doing a lot of shipments then something like a Dymo printer would be much better for you.

Hi, have you looked at the Brother P- touch range. I’ve had mine for about 20 years, it is invaluable and labels very economic - I have the QL-500 for which there are many different label sizes but there are other versions in their range. I use it for labelling appliance cables, files, jars etc. Also use a mail merge with your data bases for customers address labels etc and I use Avery J1860 labels for my inkjet printer or L1760 is the equivalent for laser printers. I think the phomemo will have it’s fun uses but not very economic for a business

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great kzread.infoUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.

You can’t iron them on because the printer is thermal, it will go black,

Go to a textile shop and buy name tags you iron on your clothes

yes you could use it for fun journaling, though if you want to use it for pictures i would recommend their cheapest version as you can get the printer tape that is just one long strip so you can change the sizes you want to print a bit more
