I drilled 3 holes back to back with this guy, a 6.0 battery and a 1-3/16" woodchuck bit and it destroyed the holes. I love this drill!!! I'm an electrician too btw

They sure have! This is a nice multi-purpose drill. I'll be showing the new M18's next. Thanks Eddy!
Really nice video, Bill! Thanks for all of the information and demo. Very impressive for a 12V drill!

Bought this exact model. A really nice compact multipurpose drill. I was shocked by the weight, doesn't feel cheap really sturdy.

I’m giving it serious consideration , ATM , I’m using the Installation Drill Driver as an everyday solution , that little guy might be more versatile ! If I get one , I’ll prolly run the small format 3.0 AH , or the 2.5 AH , just to keep things tidy !
I personally own the previous m12 FUELGen2 kit and it's perfect for commercial electrical work. I've used the hammer drill with a 1" wide by 6"-8" long auger bit and it gets the RESIDENTIAL job done on 2x material. It surprised me! Comes In handy when roping little projects like a bathroom or a kitchen & it's super light weight. I can only imagine what the new gen3 can do! You should do more drilling Mr.Spaky Bill with auger bits and paddle bits to demonstrate it's full potential. I personally like the smell og breaking in a new Milwaukee m12 drill IDK why! Brings back good memories. 👍

I’ve seen videos, and this drill rocks. It keeps up with several 18 and 20 volt drills. I just don’t care for the ergonomics.

What is the setting between clutch 13 and drill mode (the area marked by a continuous straight line). It doesn’t have a detent when you rotate to this series of positions, but can’t find what it’s intended purpose is.
How is this for more precise on the lowest torque?
I've got the M12 Fuel hammer drill, and it's a drillin' machine. This one looks even better. I'm thinking I'll be spending some money real soon...

It's kind of a jack-of-all trades.
Can you use it to snake ??? Or mix paint??
What do you think about that tool and the dewalt dcd706?
How do you get a stuck bit out of it?
I got the bare tool on amazon for about $80
Bought one today, had a CBLDD M18 before but that one was too strong. This one is perfect!!! Very precise on lower torque! It sits quite weird in the hand though. Its very "fat"!
I wish they made a version with no clutch and no hammer.

@@jasonbabila6006 Yep. I carry an M12 impact and my M12 SDS is never far away. Also, the mechanism in the hammer drill that allows the chuck to move forward and back, causes slop, and only gets worse with time...Deleting these useless features would make a great streamlined, compact drill.
I've had these for around 2 months they have improved the grip size and power my gripe is why dothey put hammer on the drill.its pointless for me even on 18v drills I just reach for a sds
Should the ring on the end of the chuck be loose?

Yes, that is normal
Bill, can it handle a 1" paddle bit in 2 x 4? I had the previous version and it struggled with anything 1" or larger.
@SparkyChannel
Жыл бұрын
Hi Scott! Yes, I'm sure it can but I don't use these kinds of drills for 1" bits. I want something with a handle for bits great than 1/2" for safety.

Awesome job Bill.. did Milwaukee improve the grip on the drill and impact driver? The previous gen had a fat grip. I’ll be looking forward to the future Sparky Channel Tool Test Smackdown…. LOL. Have a good afternoon…..

The grips are just right for me, but opinions are going to vary quite a lot. Yes, "Smackdown!"

There's only so much you can do when you have big chonkin batteries stuck up inside the grip. I haven't felt the new one but I'd hazard to guess they're the same as the previous m12 tools, which are pretty much the same throughout the lineup. I don't find them to be obnoxiously large though. When you're drilling you tend to press more than grip, and I find the wider blackstrap of the grip distributes the pressure well. FWIW.

@@nominalvelocity I’ve heard that the Gen 1 hand slightly slimmer grips. I’m waiting for my Home Depot to have the Gen 3 on display so I can try it.

Excellent if you slow the rpm's down and use cutting oil.
So it is definitely a mechanical slip clutch!! not the load sensitive electronic failure 🤢
