Simon is the best coach I’ve seen. His explanation is always so clear and his positivity shines
I struggle with shanks with my wedges at times. I can be hitting well then all of a sudden start shanking. Thanks for the video
I was fortunate enough to have three hours with simon on sunday and ive got to say it was the most informative lesson ive ever had. As a scratch handicapper ive had many lessons but this guy is out there on his own.
I don’t usually comment. This is worthy of comment. Much less chatter and he just demonstrated what we need to do. Thank you 👍👏

Simon is a master teacher. His teaching style really fits the way I learn best. I like for really technical concepts made simple.
Yes... fairway woods are also a challenge for me. I know all the theory... putting in practice is the issue! Thanks for the tip.
Well as I get older I have to learn that shot. This tip is going to the range to work on thanks.
Great lesson...Thank-you very much
he explains so well im doing better every time i watch
I really love the way Simon explains things. Some world renowned coaches are very difficult to understand what they are instructing. Hope Simon can be a regular on your channel. The fact he reminds me of my favorite wrestler RICK FLAIR is a bonus
Simon is fantastic. Even i can understand and it’s helping!!
I like the quick tips format, some of those long videos just fog the mind, most folks who buy a fairway wood surely know how to try and hit it ffs, but underpin knowledge is never a waste, look forward to next clip😊
My consistency is terrible! I go from having great holes to having blow up holes throughout my round. I can’t figure out my swing faults! Golfmates content is my favorite KZread content, love it all!

Same here, some of it is course management e.g. going for the shot and not taking your medicine or playing the percentage shot. If I swing too fast arms take over and it’s a horrible over the top swing. I can go from Pars on low index holes to 8 and 9’s
Brilliant tip Simon I struggle so much with my fairway wood 😊
How I wish I'd seen this before my 9.30 twe off this morning. Thanks Simon keep them coming. Cheers Liam
I am loving these weekend golf tips with Ric Flair …

Whooooooooo!!!!!!
I’ve been struggling with my heaven wood on late, this appears to be the answer and try when I’m out next week! One of my playing partners has been telling me off for lifting my head too soon, particularly with my wedges. So I have really been working on this and my chipping has really improved! Best tip I would give anyone ‘keep you head down! 😊😊
Lia, Simon is a gret addition! Concise instruction with a reason for every tip.

Liam!
Thanks Liam and Simon great little video on fairway woods
Great short tip. Really helpful. Thank you 😊
Brilliant video Liam and Simon
Thank you Simon for your clear, easy to follow advice. He tells you the important things & does NOT complicate the shot with long, complicated explanations. I would appreciate advice with playing from typical, winter bunker conditions. Wet , fairly shallow sand. 64* lob wedge or 54* sand wedge.?
Knowing the correct grip pressure has been a revelation to me. Thanks again 👍
Great work Simon. Well put together 👏
How about off the tee with the fairway wood. I struggle with that on the long par3s and short par 4s. Thanks for the great videos.😊
Thanks for this, always having trouble with hitting my woods, hopefully this will help.greetings from Ireland
Liam and Simon - love these Sunday specials Great job !
Can’t wait to try this, I find my fairway wood the hardest to hit. Loving the videos keep them coming
Liam, I want to thank you, and Simon, for the grip pressure tip, been using it since the first video you did, it's taken all the tension out of my forearm, and my ball striking has improved greatly, cheers 😁😁

This videos are precious! Thank you!
I love have seeing Simon on your channel! Such an awesome coach.
Another top video, as always. I could do with a bit of help with my iron consistency, I'm either fitting or thinning them and when I do catch a good contact the ball goes straight left about 30 yards off target. Cheers in advance Steve Fenton
Another great lesson Simon
Keep these tips coming Simon and Liam, I'm sure we will all learn something at some stage.👏👏👍
What a great addition to the already brilliant content. I've been topping my fairway woods so badly of late that the 3 wood and hybrid have been left out of the bag. I think I was trying to 'help' them get airborne like Simon says after trying to rectify the problem off range mats and making it worse. Thanks, this makes so much sense.
Excellent instructions. I struggle with closing the face right before Impact with long irons.
Thank you Liam & Simon we will all suffer with certain shots at some point in our golf games, these tips are very well explained superbly by Simon everyone would benefit from Simon's explanations and coaching tips. Thank you again much appreciated
Easy to understand just hope I can put it into action thankyou
I really appreciate these tips. Thank you! My biggest issue currently is getting the ball out of bunkers consistently. It would be great to hear Simon's thoughts and tips on playing from the sand.
Superb info. Thanks chaps.
Absolutely cracking stuff
Simon's demo is spot on. Get your set up right and flush thro the ball.
Simon is great. Love the grip pressure he talks about. I have an issue with my hands reaching out too far on my downswing and often hit shanks or out of the heel. I’d love Simon’s input on this issue.
I have incorporated the “Over the stick, under the stick” drill into all my clubs and now I absolutely SMASH my 3 wood. Actually, keeping that as my only swing thought along with a little mental trick I use to keep my rotation centered (move my leading side pocket at the ball on takeaway, then move my trailing pocket at the ball in the downswing) and after correctly sorting my sequence and timing, that little exercise made a profound improvement in my ball striking with ALL my clubs.. Consistently pure strikes one after the other with literally every club. So thanks for that guys!!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Brilliant advice my man
I like Simon, keeps everything so simple
2nd shot is my nemesis, but after watching the grip video, it is slightly getting better. So, thanks for that.
This tip on 3 wood hits is good for me. looking fwd to trying it, !
This will really help me 🙏
Brilliant and simple.
Will try this in simulator on saturday 😊👍
I could do with a tempo trick Simon. Love the videos guys 👍🏻
My swing is quite good. I dont hit fat or top the ball. I get good height and length and accuracy. The thing is, it would take ages to explain how I do it. Once I've gone through all the many swing thoughts and feel confident then only three remain. Balance, the down, out, and up backswing with correct angle of attack away from the ball maintaining spine angle and leading edge. And attack angle down through the ball for ball then ground contact. The only problem is, I don't get to go for a game due to pressing comittments. Maybe one day I'll get a break. Lucky you. Your out there alot. Cheers golf mates.
Nice series Liam. Any tips for getting lag putting right wound be appreciated.
Love these tips. The 3 iron for me
Loving the Sunday content. My biggest inconsistency is distance with the driver. Can vary from round to round or from hole to hole by as much as 50yds Will get a video done soon.
I’m struggling with rheumatoid arthritis and a slice so any advice would be appreciated Liam, great video and thank you for sharing it with us.
The Ric Flair of coaching WOOOO!!
Love the tip videos would it be possible to show how to use fairway mats for winter never seem to get consistent strike with them
Really enjoyed that video for some reason I love my 5 and 7 wood but took my 3 wood out as I was hopeless with it? Biggest problem just now 4 ft putts grr
Brilliant as usual from Simon, would love to see him take the fear out of short chips around the green, how not to hit the ground behind the ball every time, I'm asking for a friend there obviously

We got a brilliant tip coming soon
Great tip, can you do one on putting pace, I'm forever leaving putts short then overcompensating and going way past
Absolutely great video keep up the good work. Can you help me to stop duffing my chips around the green.
I know this is an older video but does anyone he know the video where he describes the arm pressure and grip in more detail? I love Simon's tips and his demeanor while teaching. He really does keep it simple, and doesn't go off on twenty tangent thoughts like some coaches. 👍

I like it good swing
Love my 3 wood 😍
Coming into winter in the UK some much need help with winter lies especially aound the green. Wet muddy grass can be very frustrating. I think that's one of the reasons a lot of golfers put their clubs away for the winter.
Can you give some coaching on hitting long irons ? Anything above 6 iron is a nightmare!😅

Video out very soon
Haha everything as im off with a fused ankle atm cant wait to play nxt year
Have you got any tips for playing at this time of year when the ground is wet and heavy ? Once the winter mats are introduced my ball striking improves but in the current autumn conditions I struggle to hit the ball cleanly .
always thought to myself when hitting a fairway no negative thoughts &!just commit worked out ok 👍
Not being funny but Simon is old school in his teaching , so simple to understand, a bit like the late great John Jacobs
Any advice is good advice with fairway woods.
What happened to Dave the Rave?? Really enjoyed his tips plus his matches??
Agree with comments about Simon being an amazing coach. He’s distilled the swing into 1 thing - arm pressure. It’s much much harder to do though
HiLiam,I have a problem hitting my hybreds, sometimes I'm inclined to hit snap hooks or power draws it usually comes out of the blue and can destroy anotherwise good round, and I'm finding lately it leaks into my driver as well so if I start hooking either one I know its going to happen with the other
Simon is great wish he was closer to home .
I'd like to know how to set up my driver to the correct settings , and what dies the settings stand for . I.e what does +1, +2 , -1,-2 do to the club.
Would love to see you do 9/18 holes with Simon
Fairway woods are designed to be hit with the top 2/3 of the face. Roll and bulge on these club faces will help launch that ball. If you almost think you actually want the top half of the face to hit the ball when you swing, it helps get that sweet spot.
Top coach wish he was more local as my driver goes we're it wants 😅 and my putting well we just say 3 putting is a good day
Simon really does seem like a great coach. My biggest problem is trying to swing too hard and murder the ball.
Will try this tip next time i play hit my 5 wood 4 times on a par 5 last week 😞
Great content. Can you relate this to 5/7/9 wood play?

Hi Liam, and all golf mates,, I struggle with lining up,correctly, if you can help please.
Hi Simon and Liam i have a BIG problem i slice my driver realy bad how do i correct it please regards Mike
My issue is putting. I either get pace right or aim right cant seem to put it all together. Either its a one putt or a three or 4. Any tips would be great.
Simon with winter coming how do I chip off a muddy lie ? 👍👍👍
Is grip pressure the same for every club or does it differ?
Starting the downswing and having a sequence that gives some sort of consistency to your swing???
Good advise - still very poor with 3 wood off the deck - best results for me is a 5 wood - have a long shafted 18* Taylormade Burner 5 wood which is much easier to hit and goes almost as far ! Don't dismiss 5 and even 7 woods - could be a solution ?
I must be in the minority as I have never had issues hitting fairway woods. Simon's advise is spot on. Hit down, aim ahead of ball for your strike/divot
Hi Liam - loving these videos - can you get Simon to help me stop topping my driver off the tee - thanks Mate - Robert - Ballyclare
My backswing has shortened as I’ve got older. How can I lengthen it once again without losing confidence in my swing? Thank you
I tend to pull my wedges left. Would love to know why this could be and how to stop it.
Great Tips. Fairway woods for me, 1 great 1 Average then 2 poor.
I am struggling with my irons, I hit them short and take too much of a divot. I know I need to put the low point of my swing just in front of the ball but I need an exercise to get me doing it regularly
Liam, I am what you disparagingly call an ‘alien’.😉 For the last few weeks, I have been pulling my irons to the right. At first, I thought that I might be closing the face of my club as a result of trying to establish the forward lean in the club shaft. But I think it may be more than that. It could be that I am standing too far from the ball in my address. Any suggestions from “Ric Flair”?
Grip pressure made such a big difference and the club head weight feel was a massive eye opener. Biggest problem I have is taking a 1/2 or 3/4 swing and making it into a full swing. Once I complete my turn I lose my swing almost immediately and then can’t get back to a consistent position. I have a fair amount of DTL swing videos.
I'm struggling with reading putts ,the thing of pour water doesn't seem to sit well for me and I'm too thick for aim point
