Dude I think the developers heard your wishes, it's a spooder mech! 🤔 Maybe I'm going to wait to see it on live server before we could say it's totally op, but blockhorn seems balanced. This will definitely become meta, i think players will like this one. But it's kinda weird, this mech doesn't feel like tank maybe because of the design, I mean I love the design but hmm maybe not Thick enough lmao. Anyway great review man 🗿

off the top of my head, the max dmg boost you can get from a combo of orion, CHUNGUS, barricade amp zone, stalker, enemy stalker with best implants is: 700% dmg. Not sure if the CHUNGUS dmg boost and blockhorn ability boost stacks, tho. Can't think of any other dmg boosting abilities, so yeah edit: thermal lance boost adds another 50% dmg, resulting in a total of 750% dmg boost, assuming that they all stack additively, and the chungus ability doesnt override the blockhorn ability

yea its a weird combination of Aegis, Ares and Brickhouse

By this loogic we will have spider mech scout with maybe like speed up mode (like his legs fold and he turns into a scorpion tank from Halo) and damage resistance or warp blink with 2 charges and the same coverage as dash (which is 40 meters). Mech just jumps into "warp", jumps out at designated point and apply system crash to enemy in sight. But the enemy you are targeting should be in 15 meter radius. Shields would straight up block it, cause it would be like hunter's mark and daze charge. And I came up with all this on the fly so I doubt it is well balanced. Man I miss on the glorious days of system crash. Also, barrage, artilerry, Helix racks. You may be tanky all you want, but damage over head is still ouch, and if I just burry you in explosives from every side I think you would just explode

Imagine a block horn with an overheated overcharger, with its ability active, with a brick house boosting damage, and also using thermal lances to over heat your enemy, the damage boost would be insane

I think the main strength and utility of the mech will be blocking off access points to beacons. Placing the shield in hallways or next to structures so ur much less or not at all exposed to radius

What immediately came to mind was paradise plaza, skyship, and the mech arena map. U can pacify an entire push, re orient your team and weaken it by the time the shield goes down

I think I am going to use this hangar w Blockhorn: Rail 12 Surge, Rail 16 Blockhorn, EM12 Redeemer, EG 12 Nomad, Sr 12 Eggis (for 5v5) and Cpc against bots. I think the Blockhorn is going to be a VERY good mech regardless of how the SR, RG meta is right now. I also think that it will give the Stalker chads a new fav because it gives you shield and keeps the dmg boost at the cost of no health regen, but your HP almost doubles the HP of Stalker I believe.

@@RuFFlesGaming I think it will be due to the fact that most players prefer EM panther over rails in a competitive setting and I feel that having the extra DMG on the Blockhorn will give it the extra double dmg chance that the EMS already have of 55% when maxed. This is because while the rails do almost triple the dmg of EMS per mag, its excluding the fact that the EMS get double dmg almost every shot. So in my opinion, having the 60% extra damage from the shield and implant will help the rails get the extra UMFH like the EMS have.

Does the blast from pod guns goes through the barrier? Animation says yes, but what about the game?

By far the most elaborate video on Blockhorn I have seen so far. On will it be meta? There is no way players will risk the exposure time in order to be able to place a useable shield, against bots its okay, vs players in the sniper heavy meta, that is a no, nor do I see doing a Panther, Blockhorn combo as combo play is very very rare. Will it be Niche? Looking at the way how the devs built it, I can see they already had at least one weapon in mind for which it grants a nice symbiosis, potentially two but on the second its current status is ambiguous.

@@RuFFlesGaming Less than 2 months. Realistically, its kinda too soon because e.g we didnt even "get used to" Lacewing and most ppl dont have it. The worst part is that those new mechs are kinda unnecessary and all of them are legendary. On top of all that, only innovative and original mech is Seeker out of 9 latest mechs, all others are either a mix of 2 existing mechs or rl dumb in terms of ability like Scorpius (basically jav/helix ability mechanics). Edit: At this rate, we will have 8 more mechs in a span of little more than a year, I can't imagine how useless the upcoming mechs will be unless the devs nerf old stuff again...

i thought the qbility would be better than aegis but i was wrong lmao

interesting prediction, still hard to say just yet, but you might be right!

If they ever made carbine 16s this tank may find a home in my hanger, but I feel this tank is lacking the correct type of weapon for it to gain some traction. The overdriver is not an assault weapon imo as they should be semi automatic these are mini heavy weapons. I can easily see everyone trading out these mini mini guns for two actual mini guns. I can also see Disk Launchers working on this mech too. Yeah, that’s it. This platform best works with DLs. I still won’t use it. lol

No the shield eats both I thought, thats why u alt fire so u pop the shield than hit the mech.. I've learned this lesson already 😂 always alt fire your sniper and especially against shielded mechs.. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on this

over the past year or so they increased the cost for Event crates by like 50% and also skewed the crap outta them so you only get the main prize if you buy all the tokens. i dont recommend bothering with new events. New stuff is kept behind a paywall until its released in a PVE (aka Onslaught) event, which happens every month or two (ig, we're only a few events in)

i talked about the downsides tho..? Radius and low duration, mostly. secondarily low mobility (which is a big deal late-game) and easy access for radius weapons to get around the shield.
