    Thanks for this video Pan, I’ve been wanting these for a while now. Most of us would be using these for our older cars, likely with a lot of paint defects. Maybe you could make a video using these polishers on an older car of darker color or a car with more paint defects. That would give us a better idea of what kind of results we should expect from these budget polishers.

    You’ll soon see one on my channel. However, big caution with rotaries. You need a lot of polishing experience with them as they can easily burn through the clear coat and also cause holograms and buffer trails. Rotaries are not for beginners.

    Hi Pan, I hope all is well in Quebec. I have been following your detailing channel and have a question. I have a 2015 Lexus GS350 that’s new to me and I have a few scratches on the rocker panel that are exposing the plastic underneath. It’s a atomic silver and the scratch is deep enough to show the black plastic of the rocker panel. Do you recommend a specific touch up system like Dr colorchip? Or should I get the touch up pen from the dealer and get at it with a very fine pin point brush? I appreciate your advice and all your reviews.

    Paaaannnn! I love your channel and I never cared about detailing until I got a Black Model 3 Tesla in April. I am trying to keep the outside of the car in good shape using what I learn from this channel but I'm finding out that hand polishing really doesn't do much. I am doing all you say but the scratches remain. Since I hate cords I haven't bought a polisher and I was wondering if you could recommend a good cordless polisher. I really don't care how much it costs as long as it is good. I just want to be able to buff out small accidents and scratches in the clear coat. I've literally tried almost every product you recommend here except the polishers lol. Hopefully, you know of a good cordless. I am thinking orbital/dual action too.

    More throw simply means you're covering more surface area thus decreasing time spent polishing. For more focused polishing, a smaller throw can be more appropriate. It's good having different tools in your arsenal so you can use according to your needs.

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    5 жыл бұрын

    I had a Porter Cable 7424XP (not 2474) when I started polishing. It was an ok starter tool, but this ShineMaster M15 Pro is way more powerful and has a longer throw to get the job done quicker. You can't even compare both tools. M15 Pro is better. A "throw" is how far the backing plate spins out (left or right). The longer throw (15mm) will cover more surface area in a single pass compared to an 8mm throw, so you are more efficient.

    Hi PAN...I applied EPIC CR2 onto my vehicle, which will give some extra protection for several months. Is it OK to, after that, apply BEAD MAKER when doing maintenance washes until I get to 3-4 months down the road before reapplying EPIC CR2 ? Also, once I'm reaching 3-4 months and it's that time again to apply a sealant, is it OK to try and apply another one, such as TLC2 ? One last question : How do you best clean those emblems (which nowadays are not really chrome) such as the lettering CX-5 AWD on this white mazda. I have got some light staining ?

    Hey man, question what’s the best degreaser to use on paint ? To get off old wax and what not...

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    5 жыл бұрын

    Chemicals alone won't fully remove waxes and paint sealants. They can help to break down a big part of the older layers of waxes or sealants, but to fully remove them, you'll have to do some paint polishing steps as mechanical abrasion is what truly removes those. When you're done polishing, do an IPA wipe down (isopropyl alcohol) to remove polishing oils. You can use a paint prep like Dupli Color too. Then you'll have a 100% prepped surface, ready to accept fresh layers of your favourite wax, paint sealant or better yet, ceramic coating. To give you an idea of the steps, watch how I detail a vehicle: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6R208ihfcitgpM.html But good strip washes like Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash with a foam cannon will start breaking those down. Adam's Strip Wash is another good decon soap.
