I love how some parts of the swamp are traversable, some are too deep, and there's almost no way to tell which is which. That's gonna lead to some VERY fun times.

What I love so much is that every water place is different than the other Swamps - more yellowish Ocean's - clean Rivers - like spiro's murky and brown Lakes - clean on the surface yet blueish within So I love that there's variations for everyone and everyone can have their own preference.

Thats not what happens in real life and would be a waste of limited computer resourses.

Looks like they are making the rivers and lakes more suitable and hospitable for upcoming aquatics like beipi.

Very relaxing video! This map is one of the few planned additions for the "near" future (we know what means for The Isle) I am excited for, especially if the game switches to UE5 eventually.

@@TheRealCARCHARO The switch to UE5 alone won't change the quality of the models the devs are currently using for the game, but it allows for very realistic lighting and objects loading in far away and smoothly transitioning from low to high detail as you get closer to them while still performing well. UE5 also has a massive free library of high quality assets that the devs might make use of.

The new map looks so sick and cool. I like how they 'played' more with enviroment and make it more interesting then map that is rn... from huge lake to small rivers with plains... up to swamps with huge undergrowth. I really like also the landscapes, looking more real? Iike more rusty and actual a shape of rocks... Truly amazing! Thank you, for showing us!

i love how the Rivers are dark and murky but the lakes are nice and clean With a bit of blue and lets not forget the ocean danm the devs worked hard on this one *chefs kiss* i cant wait!.

Honestly its a relief to know people were working on gateway in the background when updates were super slow. This map is absolutely already stunning looking. Sure gateway has been in the process for about a year now I believe, but this progress in just a year, for such a map!! This is great. My hope for the isle is slowly being returned, with the hopes of seeing troodon and beipi soon along with this in the future, man I can't wait!!

I caught the little stream of this map, and i cant wait for it to drop, it looks sooo good, you can tell they went all out for this map. Id love to see them do somthing like Animalia Survival, where without rain the water levels drop, then fill back up during rain/storms, i think that would be a cool addition, especially wirh that much water, could make some competition if it doesnt rain for awhile

There's some old clips o Felipe testing the flood system. So, it's planned and, maybe, if we are lucky, we get to see it in game in a few years

Anyone else get the feeling that the swamps in Gateway reminds us of the first map that we played on, what I'm talking about the map that was playable with only Utah and Teno. Or is it just me being delusional?

the utah or omni u killed was Elmaco , I saw it live on stream ( twitch ).

Seeing these incredibly deep bodies of water making a deino look terribly small makes me wonder about future aquatic dinos, especially apexes, that we could encounter in these waters

Good I like the openness of this map....it'll be easier to grow and ambush without having cannibals around every turn

They aren’t gonna have it on consoles any time soon but hopefully once it’s near release in the coming years we could see The Isle on consoles, let’s hope for the best!

it would be cool if they made it so that your field of view was the same as the creatures. so predators would have better forward, detail. "prey" would have much more field of view, especially when turning the head. crocodiles have the ability to scan the horizon without moving their heads. so in game, you could turn to view without the head turning, or if it turned, you would be able to see completely behind you. ive been watching a lot of videos about the isle last few weeks. looks like a fun game.

So my experience so far playing as the crocodile the second choice on the map is pretty dead i started at the big pond and spent alot of time there but only seen a few other crocodiles. I took the creek all the way down to the ocean and back and only seen two players the whole time. Just tried the first location today and it seems like there is alot more activity at first glance i didn't last long on at all on my first 2 attempts....be careful with going between rocks i have got stuck twice now

There were large connected ones, as well as separate! The swamp is massive, but it was also quite a swim to get to the delta from there :)

Love the design of the new map, how ever in my opinion it does look like it’s going to be harder for deino players to catch other player frequently.

isn't the map suppose to be smaller overall? I would think that leads to more player interactions. Besides all they gotta do is make the plant zones near water places and you'll have interactions.

This is my first time hearing about the new map. Hope to get a release soon! The current one doesnt have too many points of interest for people to go to, making it dead pretty much everywhere except center.

Im so glad that deinos are now able to get into the ocean without dehydrating because there’s no way of water and the ways are too long ❤️

Please bring us this map, more character to the environments is what this game really needs. Also buff nesting to make it worth it :D
