New Manila Zoo after 2 Years
The newly renovated Manila Zoo will formally opened to the public almost 2 years ago.In 2023 we are going back to the zoo to check out new animals,new attractions inside the zoo.
The five-hectare zoo can accommodate up to 16,000 visitors per day before the pandemic.
Visitors can enjoy only limited animals on display as the city government is still working on acquiring more animals for the zoo, known as the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden.
Alligators, monkeys, birds, and deer are already on display while visitors can also enjoy seeing beautiful butterflies, kois, the botanical gardens as well as an aviary.
The zoo’s tiger and africal lions can also be seen in the park.
Elephant Mali, the 48-year-old star of the zoo, has been transferred back to an area double the size of her previous enclosure in the old Manila Zoo.
Entrance to Manila Zoo will be P150 for Manila residents and non-Manila residents will pay P250 entrance fee for kids and adult..
The City of Manila has been constantly improving its infrastructure, including its properties for leisure and entertainment. Though some have said that the timing may not be the most appropriate, considering that the pandemic has limited the access to sites where people may converge, the new Manila Zoo is a welcome change.
Aside from being in an open area, the new Manila Zoo is a showcase of what can be done to upgrade decades-old facilities. The “renaissance” of the zoo also showcased Filipino creativity, the design of which was sourced from a thesis of an architecture student.
What’s also commendable is that the new Manila Zoo, which is currently charging no entrance fee Citizens can roam the five-hectare zoo.
The new Manila Zoo, thankfully, has addressed these past errors, with the present facility having its own sewage treatment plant.
The new manila zoo will be the “best in Asia.” As of the moment, the entire zoo complex is not yet open to the public, but there are enough features to keep the entire family entertained. They can see numerous animals on display, plus butterflies and kois. The botanical garden is a site for some fresh air amid the urban jungle. Mali, the elephant who is the zoo’s “celebrity,” has been transferred to a bigger area, which is more ideal for grazing and resting.
New Features to be anticipated includes a veterinary hospital, new animal habitats, more gardens, a museum, plus leisure amenities and dining options. It will truly be a place not only to appreciate the abundance of our country’s flora and fauna, but something which we could be proud of as Filipinos

Sana magkaroon ng Programa/ panawagang ng Tulong sa mga Pvt. sectors,companies na magDonate ng Animals at mag Adopt,baba sila bahala sa pagkain,gamot,etc. Ang akin ay maparami ang mga Animals sa Zoo,yong medyo mura,dagdagan nyo naman.

Meron po yan pero hindi lang talaga pwedeng garapalan pero may mga tao yan sila na lumalapit sa mga pricate sector for support.. Magugutom kasi mga hayop diyan sino ba naman gaganahan pumunta, hindi parehas ang presyo kung taga Manila ka o hindi. Ibig sabihin aabalahin ka pa na magpakita ng ID sa pag bili ng ticket.. 😆

@@amilbuhay161 Wala naman masama sa sinabi niya for improvement naman yan.. kung tutuusin tahimik pa nga karamihan ng pinoy kaya public service sa bansa natin makupad at sanay na sa "pwede na yan".. Filipino people deserves better.. Magbabago din takbo ng pagiisip mo kapag nakatapak ka sa iba't ibang bansa lalo sa developed countries..

Idol Nung Pumunta kami dyan ng Nanay ko, mga kapatid ko, mga pamangkin ko, at bayaw ko noong 2008 ay meron pang nag iisang hippopotamus. Pero wala pang lion noon mga tigers lang. Wala na pala Yung Hippopotamus Dyan? Baka Namatay na.

bakit ang dumi ng kanilang mga enclosure parang pinababayaan ng kanilang management ang mga kulungan ng mga hayop..wala pa ngang hayop madumi na eh lalo na pag dumami ito.. dapat yung management ang ilagay sa loob ng kulungan para maranasan nila kung papaano mamuhay ng madumi ang paligid...

mas tatangkilikin ulit ng marami ang Mla Zoo kung bababaan ang presyo ng entrance ticket da abot kamay ng mga mahihirap nating kababayan na syang puntahan noon ng publiko especially tuwing weekends n holidays...may kamahalan ang entrance ticket kung buong pamilya ang pupunta....sana may discount kung isang pamilya ang papasok

Buying ticket is a hassle. Halatang yung gumawa ng proseso hindi mismo gumagamit o hindi nararanasan ang hassle katulad ng ordinaryong kustomer.
Sa entrance fee ok na, kasi sa Yoki's farm 450 more on farm animals lang, sa avilon zoo naman 850 may giraffe hippo at madami animals pero ang layo lang pero compared kasi sa 300 lang entrance fee ng manila zoo maintindihan mo rin, pero mas healthy at happy tignan animals sa yokis farm at avilon zoo, ok lang mag taas ng entrance fee manila zoo para ma maintain at mas maalagaan mga animals

as much as i love animals, i hate zoo. Its much better to see them in their natural habitat.

The ticket purchasing is laughably third world - overly complex and requires data that is completely irrelevant. Whoever designed the ticketing process should never be allowed anywhere near the general public. Also, when i went there a few months ago half of the exhibits were completely empty.

@@winteriscoming5081 why say build your own zoo? have you ever been to other zoos , if you only knew that this so called world class is ano class at all ! is it bad to say his own opinion which is true! there are just a few animals to see then the price is really outrageous for other Filipinos to afford. They only renovated change the place but the habitat of the animals and the animals are poorly taken cared of. Open your eyes not just your mouth !

Hirap pag walk in gusto nila lahat online nakaka stress di ako makapunta kelangan planado. Kulang sa bangko at mukhang di na nila prayoridad yan basta may maipakita lang sa publiko na nagawa kuno. 😮💨😪☹️

sorry to say , kaya di madami pumupunta kc walang masaydong animals n makikita. tinawag pang zoo kung ung place alng ang pinaganda at mas marami p ung food stalls. tpos ang mahal ng entrance. at kung titignan mabuti ang mga animals payat, not properly taken cared of kaya mukhang lonely. wala s isa o dalawa cla kungdi dhil di tlga namementain ang food supply at care s health nila para sumigla. I know its not nice to compare but if you will have a chance to see in other countries di lng ung place ang pinagaganda kungdi ung mga animals ang priority kaya everyday madmaing pumpunta, di lng weekends o holidays dhil cla ang main attraction s mga zoos di ung food stalls at newly constructed at pa dancing fountain. Zoo is for all to see different healthy animals not to go there for a park or to eat only. tpos ung ticket price wagas for what eh wala nman makikita ilang piraso lng puro p mukhang mayskit at payat. NapakaHAYOP ng nakaisip ng hindi parehas na presyo ng entrance fee sa resident at none resident ng Manila.. Maliit na bagay lang naman P100 difference, pero nakakabwiset pa rin..Tinalo pa zoo dito sa Korea na pagkalaki laki, madaming animals at may cable car pa pero ang presyo sa locals, foreigners at any tourist ay parehas lang.. Pangpatagal lang sa pagbili ng ticket yan magpapakita ka pa ng ID.. Napakabobo ng nakaisip!

i agree to you in Europe ticket prices are same for adults wherever you are from , only children ofcourse are different but its fine. tpos dito cnsbi world class eh wala nman animals , meron konti at mukhang pinabayaan lng di man lng pinaganda ung lugar nila like more grass. May grass man eh ung part n un para lng tignan wag daw tapakan , ano b puntahan ng mga tao dito ung food stalls at mini park with fountain o animals ..eh dio sana palaitan ang name di n manila zoo di b
