Thanks for doing these because it saves so much time from having to read the notes and demo all the BS the hard way. You'd think Garmin would do these so they could push more products and features. I know they threw a bunch of sonar stuff in this one too for the ocean and big water guys too.

Would the compare unit is GPSMAP 1022 or echomap uhd 2 93 which would be better ?

I think you should have gotten the one with the push button electric lure launchers. The controls for this are located right next to the espresso maker on the left.

I thought you had a video on how to download this from garmin. I was on the the phone with garmin today about another problem and downloaded the fix. Was told this download was all the latest updates. Upload it to my 93sv echomap plus. The new colors weren't there. Any idea?

The Plus didn't get the color update. Only UHD units will have it.

Wow! I just wasted money buying my 12” screen 3 weeks ago. ONLY reason I bought it was to show more forward range. I HATED looking under and behind me. I’m looking for fish in front of me.

Did you buy the 7400 units?

Unfortunately I don’t have the updates as my gpsmap is the 7412xsv anyway Garmin improves the latest model and focus on fast obsolescence of their older model. With my pc I just need to change some features inside to get an uptodate computer. Why this is not possible with a gpsmap! Which is only a computer with an integrated display.

I have a 7608 that didn't get the update either. Hard to complain though with Garmin because they are the best at bringing new features to old products. Sonar units aren't like PCs in the sense that you can swap boards or add RAM. They are built once and that's it.

@@InDepthSonar unfortunately it isnt like a computer and that's a pitty in our days of recycling and environmental sensibility. these tools aren't cheap at all I hope it will last at least 10 years. Mine is nearly five or six years old finger cross

weird.. I just did the update and I don't see the Onscreen Control on my 1022. I wonder if that is only available on the touchscreen models?

Which 93sv? There are 4 different 93sv units. Echomap 93sv, echomap Chirp 93sv, echomap Plus 93sv and echomap UHD 93sv. Not all would get them.

You can download it from Garmin's webpage. Go the the product page on the unit you have and select "software". There are detailed instructions on there

Change the transducer to "Auto salt" and should be good to go!

Its impressive and amazing, but for a bass tournament....I think it goes too far...I draw the line at Side Scan...Even that feels like cheating a little bit....

Watch the video for the update number. It's one of the first things I did in it. I think it was version 23 on a GPSMAP. Also the video was just published so I don't think you're watching a video from 2020.

My EMU 106SV is running the latest and greatest and it's on v16.10 right now. Livescope is running v2.54 as of 4/12/2021

Can't wait for humminbird mega live comes out. Livescope will be taking a backseat to humminbirds. I'm ready!!!

For sure! I like how this update really just separated Garmin from Lowrance even further again now. This company doesn't stop innovating and the others follow when it comes to Real-Time sonar.

So complicated ! Probably I'm too old now. I bought a Helix 9 and I have trouble seing fish. So I taught why not a Livescope Panoptix Mega.................I see that there is some models out there but others will be coming out soon, the price is not clear, no nice video on what you see ( I mean fish-jigger ). In store nobody is an expert, I give up at least for 2 to 3 years.

Interesting thoughts

Test the system in 30 meters and up depth , and test in 3 people free diving below the boat. This livescope this only in stupid crappy fish and bass. All review of livescope is stupid

Measure water depth in feet not metres. The metric system sucks
