1:50 - A man with a broken back giving a 5 minute rundown of all the injured riders. You would almost think that DH is a dangerous sport 😬

Can't believe they're going to drop Fort Bill. It's a proper challenging course that's evolved quite a bit in the past five years. And, it's got the area and resources for the teams. I guess this about resources for coverage. Thanks Warner/UCI.

My two cents on the UCI: Useless shit-for-brains bureaucrats that want to make cycling like F1.

Riders will have to think over their line choices after your Video Ben 😂 That 1:1 comparison is one of the best content that is produced out there. Real benefit for the viewers to understand what difference it will make in the race vs. the commentators just guessing „this looks fast“. My money is on Vali and Troy. Would hope for another Kolb win tho but BK and Loic will have a word in there as well.

Had my appendix removed 2 months ago... thank god i did it then, so id be ready to ride by summer time (NZ time yeeeeow) and honestly im still not 100% so i can imagine Jackson feels, its not nice and the pains you get afterwards while your body heals without it get pretty uncomfortable, doctors said I couldnt ride for 8-10 weeks post surgery

Seems like your opening comment wasn’t true (thankfully). I did search online at the time to understand if there was a source to the information around UCI pulling away from Fort Bill, but would be interested in hearing where that information surfaced. Good news is that Fort Bill remains on the race calendar for 2024

Exactly it was like listening to a funeral procession, the only time I turned the sound off. Just Ben Cathro talking had more life in his voice.

The racing was awesome of course but yes, if you just listened to it you would've thought it was lawn bowls.. And most of the footage was terrible, the audio was good, but the angles, the missed sections, & 50% of what was covered being lazy drone shots, watching an ant on the hill but virtually no trackside footage for the entire section before the trees.. Also no champagne at the awards even for elite? And the UCI "interviewer" coldly "interviewing" the winners & then telling them their "obligations".. No connection, no passion.. In the commentary, in the coverage, or in the management.. It's almost like UCI is controlled by roadies & wants to make MTB less popular to bring back the focus onto roadbiking.. The UCI is horrifically bad & doesn't understand anything about MTB culture.. It's the fans & the riders that make it, as well as passionate commentators who have connection to the sport & the riders they commentate on.. Andrew Needling isn't the best but he's got the passion & you can understand him.. That other bloke should go back to announcing archery or whatever it is he normally does..

Last ever home world champs? Damn, hope that's not the case!

A metric ton is 1,000 kg, or more than 10% more than an Imperial ton. And while those in the know might measure soil and aggregate by volume, most people would have no idea how much a cubic meter of gravel would be.

You will have to get hold of the sister of the assistant of the UCI boss as she has the only available napkin they have hand drawn the info on where to find any live content or even just the schedule of the event. But beware it‘s all in French so they‘re currently trying to translate it just until before the event ends. Let‘s keep our fingers crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Why release this after the Junior results? Doesn't really make sense.

You should be commentator for mtb race on UCI. The commentator for UCI during live event just keep on mentioning the position of the racers. We can see that. Comment a bit about the track features and racers skills like you did. Things that viewers miss or cannot see.

No MSA as well wtf? & I highly doubt they'll replace MSA with the amazing new 1199 Steve Smith track at Whistler either.. So They're going to standardise the tracks formula One style, aka Bikepark.. What a crock of shit! I guess that's what they meant by "growing the sport".. Aka run the tracks that are geographically closest & allow for the most & easiest footage to produce more product to sell to networks.. Who actually cares about the sport itself though or the people that actually do it..

​@@danharvey3096WC race down the black run at Aston Hill😂😂😂 set the pits up on the golf course, kill 2 birds with one stone😂 But seriously, I'm sure someone in the UK could step up and organize Ft Bill next year, still plenty of time. Unless it's part of UCI mission making the sport more accessible, by taking away a proper old school track, that holds well in shit weather, the only UK WC, and one surprisingly easy to get to, and replace it with a bike park run in one of the big hubs in the Alps, cut some fresh lines through the loam - which will get destroyed during the first day of practice, or turn into a mud slide if two drops of rain touch them - just to make things "interesting" and "diffent each year". A place, where you probably won't be allowed to camp, and will have to save up 3 years to be able to afford the roof over your head for the weekend. Thanks UCI.
