Why is it that "gospel" artists are always incorporating "worldly" music into their songs but the world isn't using gospel music? Shouldn't the "world" be becoming more like the "gospel" than the other way around? In my PERSONAL opinion, IF YOU CAN'T WRITE A GOSPEL SONG WITHOUT USING WORLDLY MUSIC, YOU SHOULDN'T WRITE A "GOSPEL" SONG!🤷🏿♂

@@TheJabariJohnson you clearly make assumptions without any facts. My brother I am 59 years old and began playing bass at the age of 6 ( more than likely you weren't even born yet. Since then I've played every genre of music that I came in contact with. It's something how people like yourself don't want to here anything unless you're being "praised". Does it ever occur to you that someone with a different opinion or viewpoint than yours JUST MAY have a valid point? Or are you right about everything ALL THE TIME? People who only listen to "praise" for themselves and not to things that they may need to correct, sooner or later deceive themselves about themselves, However, continue doing you and much success to you!

Different viewpoint: The Gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ. Jabari is definitely spreading the good news about Jesus in this song therefore it is Gospel music. Also! most secular music borrows or took from the church sound (see Ray Charles or Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder etc). It was the church sound first anyways. Please don’t confuse the Gospel with a form of music styling! Doing that limits your own freedom to enjoy great gospel music. Said with love 🙏🏾🙏🏾

@@richardbarnes7399 With love I reply back to you. I started playing bass guitar in church when I was 10 years old, that was 49 years ago so believe me when I say I know what the gospel is about. Also I never said Jabari isn't spreading the good news, in fact I have played bass on many of his songs during morning services. I have so much I can say but I'm going to make this short as possible. It's funny that you say don't confuse the Gospel with A form of music "styling". You do know who the author of confusion is right? Yes satan. In music, chords strike emotions, certain chords appeal to your spirit and certain chords appeal to your flesh! When you put "Gospel" lyrics on top of chords and beats that appeal to your flesh you are creating confusion (remember satan is the author of confusion) within the soul of the listener that why certain "Gospel" songs remind people of their clubbing days. Also people need to stop this mess of thinking just because a person (like Jabari) is a well known "Gospel" artist (or pastor) they do no wrong or are above reproach, THEY ARE NOT JESUS! So yes Jabari IS spreading the good news but that DOESN'T mean everything he does or song he makes is without error! Again I ask you, is the world becoming more like the church or is the church becoming more like the world?
