I am disappointed that the fell beast didn’t come with the witch king! the helmet would be so cool!

It's funny that Sauron is just the size of a regular mini-fig. Doesn't justify his stature from the movies. But is more practical to use than a Bionicle-like mechanical figure. The tower/fortress looks pretty cool though

Sauron was normal in size. He just used his magic to get big and that is how he was presented in movies.

Apparently he never specified in the books, but he did in Letter 246 saying that as a Maia he would have been of greater stature than Men (even 6 feet something Numenoreans) but not gigantic. The latter can be freely interpreted: not gigantic compared to Men and Elves or not gigantic compared to Trolls (at least 12 feet), Ents or actual Stone Giants? All I'm saying is, it is a missed opportunity for creative liberty and make a special mini-fig

Sauron needed a molded mace, they gave a few new molded weapons in rivendell, so why not for the big bad himself? I personally would have liked to see avatar sized legs on him too.

Makes alot of sense, the GWP really is an awful looking thing.

I wonder if they are going to make the giant Sauron we saw in the videogame? It could be interesting to see Sauron with the body type of Lego Knights Kingdom build figure

@DanXG let's hope so. I'll look forward to the figure. Maybe they might use not just Knights Kingdom parts but others parts from Bionicle. It could start a move into bringing the old buildable figures back into the spot light

I don't personally have it yet but if you visit buildbetterbricks.com you can find the instructions and piece list on there.

The people preference for bad guys is concerning. And is evident for those that had Rivendell that Sauron was since day 1 concived to be normal sized. You can see it clearly through Rivendell's picture.

Personally I think Rivendell is far prettier, but both look amazing sets

Even though its not a great figure, I can already tell the gwp resellers are going to be insane with the prices purely from collectors

The build looks really great to me, but i think the gollum minifigure is a downgrade from the old one, same for the ogre minifigures

Gollum is just a weird minifig in general, it's never quite sat right with me.

Set is awesome but gwp is pretty underwhelming. At least I don’t feel like I have to buy it right away now

Totally agree with regards to the GWP.

Im dissapointed. Sauron with the size of a regular mini-fig, strange looking Gollum, no Nazgul on MODULAR feel beast included, only 10 mini-figs, Frodo and Sam with regular look (they coud be in orcs armors like in the movie). And on top of that, that brick build fell beast is just ugly. It's sup to be modular like Smaug. LEGO, you fucked this up!

@@polskimaestro9454 If someone showed me that Fell Beast out of context, I would have called it a decent MOC someone made out of a few spare parts they had. The tower... Since they already make 600-700$ sets that would have looked just as good at 400$, why didn't they go all in on this too and scale it better? Sauron looks like a fake figure, too detailed and not in line with the LEGO style... Idk. I hope people have fun with it, but I also hope that some people will get over their FOMO and stop buying everything that comes out just so then can post "haul" videos...
