Doesn't everybody have a second copy of their main? I needed a second Sayrn because my full Ubral setup couldn't fit shield tank or gating setups. I also ran out of loudout presets for more helminth abilities.

@@Cloakdasasin0 as a die hard harrow main i can confirm that most of player that has main has a second copy of their frames. My first harrow is for general purpose vanilla harrow gameplay so the subsume isn't that crazy on that one. The second one however i put 3 tau amber shards for orb energy effectiveness to replace his 3rd ability for wackier builds.

@@Cloakdasasin0 At this point I have 3 copies of Khora even though my usage of her has dropped in the last year or so. Umbral base version + Non umbral base + Umbral Prime. I only use one umbral forma on each, but that's what having multiple copies of the umbral mods at different ranks are for. In recent times, I've been enjoying the "toolkit" approach to the game more often so I have different frames for different tasks. Plus a few "cool youtube builds" like the Blood-Altar Mag and Amalgam-Argonak-Rakta-Dark-Dagger Armor strip SpeedVa Nuke...

@@Marin117. one prime release every 3 months so 4 per year. Yeah, after protea it should be xaku's turn but after their release lavos should be next. So he should release around autumn or winter .

With this crazy augment I really look forward to Lavos Prime. Been holding off on sinking too many forma into him so far, just me personally not being fond on spending too many forma on frames that will be replaced with a prime variant later.

@@chiffoncakeandtea The only formas you should save is Umbra you can get the core build with 3 formas and switching swift bite for stretch or augur reach.

This is such a good augment mod! (it feels like an augment mod rather than a band-aid like Swift Bite cause adds another level of power onto Lavos imo). Everyday I yearn for Lavos Prime and Cedo Prime and this amplifies the desire. Again, Thanks for another solid video Kengineer. I await your next video to solve another practical problem. The only thing better than one lavos is two lavoses! This augment has been treating me really well, and I'm not even the kinda person who can make anywhere near the best of it. My weapons hit harder, my Catalyze hits harder, and it's finally given me a reason to go and get the Helminth Colour Theory Segment, for that tauforged corrosive shard. Lavos mains are eating well!

Awesome video! I love that you're a fellow Lavos main! one more thing I would've mentioned is putting two +corrosive stack archon shards on him makes it so valence formation give Lavos a full armor strip with just his base kit, simply by infusing corrosive. YOu should seriously give it a try if you haven't

I was about to write a comment about how I don't like Lavos as a pure weapon platform, and then you talked about the dmg% from the augment applying to his 4 as well. I love you! You made this augment instantly a lot more interesting! Catalyze with heat inherit as a single target killer and normal procs for AoE sounds amazing. I really have to test how much damage per tick I can get to! 400% modded heat (P Heat, Riven, Valence), Banes, and then additional dipping via Archon Vitality. Yummy!

wow this is incredibly cool, I used to run a roar saryn with the spore augment and her toxic lash as my damage platform warframe, but lavos seems infinitely more useful and way more tanky. My new life as a lavos "main" starts now

Yes he was so desperately in need of a power boost, Lavos mains have been struggling to keep up for far too long 😔

i have been loving this augment with the kunai incarnon where each hit will do corrosive or toxin and i have 4 greens 2 for corrosive stacks and 2 for toxin damage (tau) and lets me kill everything :D

I would love to see a refresh of Mecha Lavos with Contagious Bond and Valence Formation. It's so crazy that since the procs of status from Mecha set are considered the companion killing and then spreads the statuses, which is then considered the pet killing, which continues

oh boy, that two (three? idk anymore) umbral format I dropped on Lavos is gonna finally come in super handy

Here's another niche use of this augment : You can use electric version for guaranteed electric procs on a melee weapon, allowing you to use the Melee Influence Arcane even if your melee has 0 electric damage and 0 status chance. This arcane can then help you spread any other powerful elemental statuses you apply

It's not that niche, and there is completely broken build with this. Raw toxin Dual Ichors + Electric imbuement + 2x Green Archon shards + Melee Influence. If Melee Influence is just nuke, this one is mega nuke. instant armor strip + electric bomb. And fast at that. Single tap of "E" button will be enough to strip all armor in 18m AOE.

I just knew a Valence video was coming from Ken as SOON as it was added to the game 😂

Speaking as someone who watched you test this augment, I appreciate the references that happened during testing, and I'm sure Silansi and Miralabe will be more than overjoyed to see them as well.

One of the best aug. u can build a gun with electric and viral, cast toxin with the aug and u’ll be doing corro+toxin+ viral meaning it can take on all factions and u dont need to switch

I have only one nitpick: Lavos' Valence Block passive also prevents status effects (like knockdown) for 10 seconds when you pick up an energy or universal orb. For a quick mission PSF may make sense, but for any high enemy density mission as long as you're casting his 3 you're probably going to be just fine. I'd recommend running Power or Cunning Drift (or possibly Preparation for even more mental damage)

If u subsume off his 2 safely if you've modded ur weapons for cold, as u can still summon all elements due to infusion. Good use case in profit taker if you're running some subsume for it like eclipse or roar

I wasn't able to solo Profit Taker prior to this mod's release. Definitely a MUST have.

This also does extremely well for shotguns because shotguns have status apply per pellet.

Lavos just keeps getting better!

The second Lavos for a different build is something I admire.

Something really silly you can do because of this augment is abuse Cascadia Empowered. The status procs from this augment are garunteed PER PELLET on all weapons. Meaning on a weapon like the Bronco Incarnon, you can get a bonus 6750 damage of your choice BEFORE modding for multishot. And that is ignoring the base damage of the weapon, the base procs of the weapon, the potential DOTs of the augment procs, etc. Not gonna work for level cap, but for ANYTHING else?

What a time to be a Lavos main 🎉

This augment really made the dream feel real, of swapping damage types on the fly based on what you're fighting

they gave me lavos in deep archimedea this week and i used this augment, dealt 80% of the damage in the last mission. this augment is absurd

Lavos is super enjoyable since Swift Bite augment, and even more with this. Too bad his Prime is coming, too long to wait but too early to spend some Umbra Forma on the regular one. The non-Umbra setup is neat enough anyway. Also, love how you described him in Why Lavos clip "might not be the BEST answer, but rarely the WRONG answer"

so if im reading this correctly you can make a pure crit weapon into a cold melter, any melee into an steal path nuker, spred more lethal flames than ember and garenty emrald shard toxen healing on everything all with one mod. and thats not including the pur obserdity this can have with other frames in the mix, wanna help a voruna with lycaths hunt, viral, qorvex, rads for days, hydrodes pillage works with other players procks so you can help him out with that, this also helps topaz shards become somewhat viable aswell. this is what augment mod SHOULD be.

I saw someone, think it was Aznvazions, messing around with this on stream, and i immediately went to build for it. So so fun.

Hello, great video as always! Does it works with gotvas prime passive (chance for super crit after proc)?

Recently got Lavos specifically because I love the idea of Gas damage and Valence Formation is the only source of modded gas damage for the gas dot. What have I learned in the past couple days? Lavos is the third frame I truly enjoy. Hydroid, Vauban, and now Lavos. Next step is for DE to tweak Chroma so i can have a 4th.

Ooh, good call. I just put a bunch of forma on Sobek to make a proper Sobek Saryn and was thinking where else I could use it. I’m thinking for caster Lavos, I’ll stick with Cedo and I’ll give Sobek a shot with a weapon focused build.

something that seems obvious now but i didnt know after having mained lavos since your build came out is that you can hold down 2 abilities at once for the immediate combo of them. i thought you had to do them one by one. might be worth mentioning in passing the next time you make a lavos video, for idiots like me

i have some questions. 1, if my current weapon setup does not include viral as a status, would that mean the ideal cast is always viral? 2, how do you get kills with lavos? whatever ability i try cant even kill a level 60 grineer in ESO even with an element infused into it. 3, how do you combine infusing skills with the status you want in the weapon? I feel like if you for example apply viral with skills then maybe you dont want viral on the weapon but whatever you infuse into the skill will always replace the current status that valence gives to the weapons

As a recent enjoyer of Lavo's (Been playing with my old Inaros Prime since he got reworked) I have been having a ton of fun with him. Quick question. Would you suggest to turn his ablities into Tap mode (inverting the button press) or leaving them as is. I've been trying to figure out which works the best for a run and gun Lavos.

what if i replaced just umbral vitality with archon vitality? the other two umbral mods will slightly decrease but i feel like it’s worth the extra heat procs?

i ddin't know you could bring augments to the grendel missions. well revenant is still a good choice, just let the mesmer skin tank and the thralls kill

What's a weapon that deals very few status procs, but has ridiculous crit and damage stats? That would exploit the guaranteed procs of Valence Formation the hardest.

Elemental damaging status effects (Heat, Toxin, Electric, Gas) all increase their damage with matching elemental mods. So a Heat mod on a weapon will make the Heat proc do more damage, and so on. However there are no Gas mods. We achieve Gas normally by combining Heat and Toxin mods, but the proc equation doesn't count those. This augment applies Gas directly as an elemental buff, so it's the only source of Gas that actually buffs the Gas proc damage.

Well you didnt mention melee influence. With hes augment he can use any melee with any build.

Would you consider it a bug that the augment that specifies weapon damage is applying to his abilities?

Looks like update 35.5.8 has made it so Lavos' 3 no longer reduces cooldown on air support :(

Lavos easily became my favorite frame as soon as I was able to build him. They're better nukers, weapons platforms, and supports...but Lavos is just so damn Flexible. He's never the wrong pick.

Damn, lavos prime when? 😂 (Protea comes next, then Xaku somehow, then Lavos, maybe I'll wait with those umbra formas xd)

I have a question about Lavos as he is also my favourite frame. (And I'll admit right now I can't remember the specific wording of it) But one of his many (many) passives is when he applies a non damage status, he actually applies 3, (I love to vial rush with radiation for 3 cold and 3 rad procs, it can really take the heat off you when you're getting overwhelmed , especially when cold still affects eximus AND they can't buff and cause damage to their allies too) but how far does that passive go ... Does the guaranteed proc from this augment also become 3 procs? Do the bonus procs from archon mods or other sources get multiplied? The archin mod that does 1 proc of corrosive could become 6 with a single ophidian bite if that works. Also tangentially archon vitality should proc 4 fire procs on his 4th with a bonus fire mixed in right? That is then multiplied by this mod? Anyway I love the way you approach and break down all these nitty gritty bits so I hope I get an answer to this
