I also really appreciate you defending the backlash that I’ve seen too on the highlighter product, let’s face it, there is very little innovation in the make up trade at present anyway all the big companies are offering very similar products. Great point about other brands making eye sticks but not taking flack for it! Let LM do their thing!! I will definitely try a few of these new matte caviar sticks. I love the VB, but I’d also like a few more cooler matte shades! And they TOTALLY worked on the cheek. It’s not too far!! I do things like that when I’m traveling so I can bring fewer products with me. And wow they lasted!

LM is a proven brand- handsdown it is personal preference andthe roducts look great on you and if I wanted any of the items featured I would buy LM and then BB. Ty Rebecca!❤

Love this eye look on you! Saw an ad for LM with the matte sticks. The model layered cobblestone & caramel. Obviously, the cobblestone is pretty neutral, the dusk color is beautiful. I’ve been wearing more shadow sticks lately because I can do a quicker eye look with them. I have several BB and I had the Sephora LM birthday one in strapless which I really loved. Haven’t tried the VB ones. I remember the first time I heard about the caviar sticks…..it was in InStyle magazine. It was about Sarah JP saying the shade “jungle” was her favorite. By the time I got around to looking for it , it was discontinued!

love this review. I have used LM products for years and I find that all her products are next level. So, even though other brands have similar products I always go back to LM - she's a staple and always reliable.

You look pretty. I'll skip all of this, though. I never have had good luck with Caviar Sticks. They always crease on my hooded eyes, no matter what. Im kinda bored with highlighter (esp in this style of packaging), but I wanted to see if this was anything new and special, so I watched.

I am a huge fan of unifying colors on my face with a dab of cheek color or bronzer on the eye or a little lipstick on my cheeks. I love the monochromatic marrying you can do to bring a face of makeup together. Why not eye sticks on cheeks? This seemed especially smart because the formula is long wearing. I thought you were going to try to shape the face/contour with the cool-toned taupe. 😍 Beautiful look, Rebecca.

This looks like a potentially good reformulation, longer lasting etc. but time will tell!

I like to think CT had exclusivity to spongy applicators and now thats over spongy applicator liquid highlights are now a complete category in themselves.

Hi Rebecca thank you for your video! I love LM shadow sticks. Yes there are some other brands that make them but, not all of the same quality. I have tried some drugstore brands that tug on my eyelids, no thanks, not for me. The colors you chose are lovely. And why not use it on cheeks! In a pinch we do what we can 😂. But I like the matte sticks too. I don’t want shimmer in certain areas of my lids due to “flexible skin”. Matte is better 😊.

I love the Laura Mercier eyesticks...I use them almost daily. Alone and as a primer for other shadows. I have a blush and highlighter from her that are some of the only ones I've ever hit pan and almost fully used up as of now. I notice, once again, a 6 month expire date? That 6 month one scares me...

Here's what concerns me regarding the 6 months...is it FIRM? I mean, before clean beauty, I never paid attention to dates. I am the first to admit that. It never mattered. But, if this six months matters AND things get moldy, then I'm very concerned.

Laura Mercier have brought out enough high quality and classic products that have been copied by plenty other brands. If they follow few things here and there so what 🙄 no one is calling out the constant copying of Korean products in make up and skincare? Everyone is doing that, all the time left and right including Charlotte Tilbury copying cheap drugstore glow tints and liquid lip tints from Peripera and Etude House 😂but it's somehow fine and no one ever says anything.

Right!!!! It’s hypocritical to call out a classic brand on intellectual property theft when the brand itself has been copied forwards and backwards since they started. You’re so right.

Love the eye sticks for many reasons, BUT - maybe I’m doing something wrong. They stay tacky and don’t quite dry down, and that causes my lid to stick to my eye hood and pulls it down. Does anyone else have this issue? How do you deal with it? Help!

@@MarySSpeer oh I'm so sorry! Anastasia Beverly Hills. Their eye primer is great. VERY white and pale but makes eyeshadow show up perfectly and leaves a smooth dry finish.
