The renovation was really needed. I am really hoping MGM takes care of the Mirage and starts renovating the standard rooms, as it is my favorite in Vegas.

Agreed. I think it's the most accessible, well-balanced property in Vegas.

You are right. Steve Wynn was famous for his attention to the details in the designs.

Stayed in that exact Lanai, right by the Bare pool. Butlers are awesome. If you go outside, the parking is for all the acts that play there. Played craos with Ray Romano for 2 days

Treasure Island mirage Bellagio Wynn encore all hotels Steve Wynn built and it shows. They age well

This suite is really nice but the mirrors in the bathroom would’ve drove me insane lol

RIP Lanais. The latest site plan for Hard Rock keeps the Vilas, but has the Lanais replaced by a ballroom.

So we typically stay in the SkyLofts but this looks fun and different. Would you rate the service higher at Mirage or SkyLofts? Which do you prefer overall this lanai vs. the 2 bedroom SkyLoft? Great video by the way!

Thanks for the kind words! So it's a little weird comparing the two (having stayed at Skylofts fives time and only once in Mirage's villas). In my experience, I find that Skylofts understands that "normal" people splurge occasionally and they play into that-they make a big fuss calling you by name, anticipating your needs, etc. I feel like I can be friends with the butlers. For lack of a better word, "normal" people typically don't stay at Mirage's villas. While the service is just as good, it's more aloof, even more transparent, cordial but far more formal. This is by design. I hope that helps. All that said, I far prefer the public areas of Mirage to MGM. You'd miss out on dining at The Mansion but I'm sure a Mirage butler could set that up no problem.

@@VegasMikeE thank you for the very thoughtful response! This really helps! My wife and I have really gotten into splurging on hotel accommodations on our trips. We’ve now done the Skylofts a few times and we’re thinking of exploring other MGM suites/villas. We had one very fortunate experience of being moved from the Skyloft to a 2 bedroom Villa at the Mansion due to Skyloft booking mixup. and that was an amazing experience.

Funny enough I think the original design for these was better. Warmer colors, if not dated to the 1980's. I feel like Mirage could have done so much more with these suites, especially as their actual villas were renovated to a much higher standard. The Mid Century modern-esque design just doesn't do it for me. In a room of caliber it should be a little over the top. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks Toby! It's $1400 weeknights, $1800 if you can score it on weekends (very rare). I was able to get it comped at the end of my stay for surprisingly less play than I imagined.

I just received an email saying my two bedroom was upgraded to a 3 bedroom , it’s for e second week of October do you think they’ll honor that upgrade ?

From a two-bedroom lanai to a three? Or a two-bedroom villa to a three? Are you staying midweek? And also, who sent the message? I would imagine if it's from a casino exec, it's set in stone. I'm certain they'd honor it; villa guests are predominantly international and well, that clientele has been temporarily decimated. My question is, with only one two-bedroom lanai and only one three-bedroom lanai, I don't understand the reason they'd offer the upgrade.

Villas 7, 9, and 10 were renovated as of my last stay. They're in no rush to renovate the others. Frankly, the old style is infinitely more lavish. I think Villa 6 is more in demand among big players than the renovated ones. Consider reading my review in the description. It really goes into the nitty gritty of the place.

VegasMikeE gotcha , I do appreciate how they knocked down the wall to create a larger living space and the lighter colors but the old lavish design is unique as well.

The site advertises 2600 sqft this looks around 1200 not including the patio.

The wide angle might be deceiving. Years ago they used to advertise them without including outdoor square footage. If I recall correctly, the one bedroom lanai's interior space was around 1800 square feet
