I grabbed a red and stonewashed Magnacut Leek last night and it shipped today I'm so excited for it to show up

The Leek was my first EDC knife, way before I knew anything about knives. The fact that they made one in magnacut is very tempting at that price. Still wish it was hollow ground!

@@BenBelkin Killer! Jack Wolf has revolutionized the knife game IMO. I love the modern slip joint with high end mats and now the fidget factor. Optional clip was genius to stick to the slippy roots. I just wish they weren't so hard to get lol I wish you all the luck so you can pump out more knives!

I have the Creely Mako with the same handle color and blade finish, but 3v blade steel. It is a top 3 quality everyday carry knife along with the Bradford Guardian 3 in 3v (I have three of those...black micarra, black/blue g10, and the g-wood), and whatever other knife you guys come up with. I hate Ulticlips, so I chuck the Mako in a Guardian 3 sheath. I wear all up front, horizontal. Absolutely fantastic, beautiful, tough slicers. I recently picked up a Jason Knight Jurassic Bird & Trout knife with 80CrV2 steel and purple handle, that I also carry in a Guardian 3 sheath. They are my holy grail trifecta. I also recently bought a Bradford Guardian 3.5 with purple/black g10 handle and Magnacut...wow, I'm in love with that, too.

We need a picture of the truck, even use it for a background in on of the videos!

I've always really liked the way the Leek gets the thum stud, well back on the blade when open.

My favorite version of Kershaw Leek is the mirror polished blade and handle, but WOW is it slippery. Leek s a industry standard with so much staying power! What a design! I also have CRKT Panache from Ken Onion.

First “real” knife I bought was a kershaw, assisted. That was about 2001. My brother still has that knife. It’s slower to open but made me a believer in kershaw. I love their knives to this dau😊

I have the Mako in magnacut and it's an awesome little blade. I have the Folklore from Creely in magnacut too, I highly recommend getting both.

Regarding the finish on that Elishewitz White Swan: It reminds me a lot of what Tyrell Knifeworks accidentally discovered about a year or so ago, when he had droplets of quenching oil (IIRC) either left on the blade or on the surface of the etching agent when he did the etch. Looks super cool, regardless.

Wish the Leek was in a clip point or drop point with a sharpening choil

It's funny, I actually like the Terzuola CKF with the zircu-ti bolsters/clip with the black S90V blade more than I like the one with damasteel bolsters/blade and the zircu-ti one is under a grand. Lol. I've been waiting for a while now to add a CKF to my collection (even though they're made in Russia) and think the Zircu-ti bolstered Terzuola is gonna be the first even though I'm not much of a fan of Terzuola designs. I'm glad to see you guys are once again carrying CKF knives. hoping they do another run of the FIF20 because I can't afford a full custom, and I would love to get my hands on one with the timascus bolsters and carbon fiber scales. Lmfao

The fact is for two years and Almost three months CPM Magnacut has been out in the world and before Magnacut, no one knew how, or wanted to try to reduce or eliminate formation of Chromium carbides. It's a game changer. I'd say it's the best, most modern answer to the great 440C!

So how is shred/marbled CF made? I can only really think of the latticed fiber pattern. If they shred it do they adhere the shreds together like a micarta?

Super into the SOCP (though I'd get the plain edge) and the Les Georges, but man is $360 a tough price to accept. Maybe one day.

Agree but you have to accept that it is a midtech so at least some parts are handmade and/or assembled and you have the name of one of the most famous knife designers/makers to go with it. I've seen a lot worse for a lot more. Have a great day.

I think they should make a 4th knife in this set. Could be shaped like the Leek but with 4" blade and corresponding handle of course and call it the rutabaga. I think it'd be a big seller. I also appreciate the chapters in the videos so you can skip what you've seen or don't wanna see

Re: The Benchmade. One can by Boker’s reproduction WW2 M-3 fighting knife for a third of the price. The M-3 has the same blade and a stacked leather handle which feels much better.

How many just fast forward to see who made the knive, and what does it look like?

My EDC is a standard Kershaw Leek bought years ago for maybe $40? And before that I had another that I forgot was on my person going through TSA and I just had to bite the bullet and chuck it and that one only cost me $35... ugh... they sure have gotten expensive. I understand they're not elite, but man, I sure love that little knife and it's always in my pocket. I would love to have one of those special editions, but... gotta buy groceries. 🤷‍♂ I enjoy the videos though, they're drool-worthy....

I don’t know the actual exact prices for these, but I think both the Hogue Doug Ritter RSK MK-1 or a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 should be under 200, and they’re the first that come to my mind.

Multiple. Find a style you like, fixed or folder, locking mechanism, opening, etc. Later, upgrade with what you like with better metal.

I thought the White Swan was a Benchmade product because of the orange backspacer.

Those customs at the end, what makes them "custom". Are they not just premium, perhaps limited runs? Custom to me means made, or modified, to customer's specifications.

I've always thought it's kinda shitty that they charge prices they do for some of these knives and first thing you've gotta do is go out and spend a little more on some kinda clip to put it on your belt or pack

Since diamonds are harder than steel the diamonds on a diamond sharpener should last forever correct so the only thing causing your diamond Stone to wear out would be the pressure that you put on the stone with the edge of your knife right? So if you use little pressure the Stone should last forever right?

I'm concerned about Kershaw's use of Magnacut. I was so stoked to get the Launch 15 and it was the worst factory edge I can remember. Order a stationary sharpener in hopes of saving it.
