Okay, and taking nothing from that, but non locking folders that have this much going on and give one an ability to carry without breaking the law is something the world can use more of: choices!

Yeah, the thing that freaks me out about the TASknives Invaderling is not the deployment speed, the blade could still deploy quick with the thumb stud, but having a non-locking blade in a tactical knife?? Great opportunity for the blade to fold in on your fingers during an "emergency" situation, terrible design.

Plenty of slipjoints have been used historically in tactical circumstances. Not ideal, but very usable, depending on the design and the user.

@@OldBadger1 Fair enough, but trying to figure out why it would be designed that way as a "tactical" knife. Are locking mechanisms banned anywhere? and if so, why not just go to a fixed blade for tactical use, even a fixed blade with a smaller blade would be more useful in a tactical situation.

@@chrisdean8235I live in that kind of place. Locking knives and fixed blades are a big no no out of uniform. You can usually get away with a small multi tool. Adaptability is the key. Alternatives? Languiole, Boker plus xl, Sog stout, Spyderco Uk Pen knife to name a few. Would I rather carry my Spyderco Mil or Esse 3 Mil. Sure. I train some FMA, my trainer is a filed down UKpen. The deployment and use are challenging but can be done. There are a few more "tricks" but I save those for fellow practitioners 😊. By the way I have a CCW 😂.

Everyone I know is sick of the games… being played… on the buyers, etc. I’m telling anyone now… the knife business now sucks… but the best knives are being made at the same time !!! It’s the libtards…the fear factor … can’t even talk bec afraid of reprisals!!! Take that to the bank… that soon will be closed forever!

I took a look at the Takumitak knives earlier in the week from an email. They don't look badly made, but outside the Takumi model, they all have that "Gas Station Tactical" or "Mall Ninja" vibe to them that doesn't do it for me personally. I also tend to be cautious of D2 fixies that are over pocket-carry sizes since the toughness really comes into play at that point. It might also have to do with the ENORMOUS "USA Design" print and downplayed manufacturing origin that rubs me the wrong way (M-Tech does the exact same thing on all their worthless junk, so it's hard not to make that association).

The first knife, Liong Mah KUF is a bit of a head shaker. Why put MagnaCut in a "kitchen utility folder", just because its the hot "super steel" at the moment?. Also, I believe any folding knife is a very poor choice for kitchen duties when all the food bacteria could just get trapped in the pivot area, better to stick to fixed blades for culinary work.

David, is there any appreciable difference between the Snecx Superlock and Andrew Demko's Shark Lock? I have to admit, they look like exactly the same thing. Is it like comparing the Spyderco Compression Lock on the Smock and the Top Liner Lock on Vosteed's RSKAOS? I haven't actually held an RSKAOS yet, but I was lucky enough to be one of the few who got the first run of Vosteed Raccoons with the top liner lock (I notice the knife is marked "Delayed by Manufacturer" now) and in terms of difference between the lock systems, I can't see any difference between my Smock and my Raccoon. I can't help but wonder if it's the same with the Chupacabra and my AD 20.5.

masserin knife, but I HATE billboarding on the blade. put it on the pivot // and CKF went too small, and still charge TOO much for knife made in China, assembled in Russia? there's a guy on Bladebinge that has been trying to sell his brand new CKF for months, and had it as low as $500 - not a single taker.. too much for China knife

I wish that knife companies would make more lockback knives. I feel that lockback knives are safer to use than other knife locking systems.

That Chupacabra was SO close to being my next knife purchase but they _RUINED_ it by making the bolster so your finger can't get right up on behind the blade. This is what happens when we have "designers" who do things for looks but never think of function because they're only real experience using tools is talking about them on the internet with other people who don't know what they're doing.

Yoinks 700 for a cnc slip joint and nitroV.. People gonna have a field day with a 700 knife having nitroV with that budget steel stigma... they should have used AEB-L so people won't flip out as bad because it's not used in the budget knife world so most ppl won't instantly associate it with being a budget steel.

Because everybody need to be able to reverse flick their kitchen folder. I do believe we're getting a little out of hand when we need a kitchen folder. Then again that's just me. Probably everybody else wants to spend a fortune on a knife that won't do the work of a $40 kitchen onife

I love KNIFECENTER… DUMP SETH or shift him to the back anywhere he can fit it.. replace him because DCA is great and Seth is truly something … what!! He can’t do videos… It’s even hard to watch him struggle in ALL of his videos. Or… stay girly… and act nervous… up to you Sir.

It's July and KC is just now showing the Rotten Evo T as a new knife? I bought my 2 Rotten Evo 4.0 (barked DLC with DLC S90V blade) on Feb 28th from NC Blade. I also bought the Zircu-ti/Damasteel version 2 weeks after. Tbh, I'm surprised any of the Rotten Evo 4.0s and 4.0Ts are even still available considering they've been out for almost 6 months now. In all honesty, the Evo 4.0 sucks, especially for how much they cost. I know I was highly disappointed with both of mine.

Tactile is terrible. First of all that’s way too close to the WE/civivi vision. Second, they use all these ambi locks and then don’t put a reversible clip on it. Made in America but act like a European company. That’s why Benchmade dominates all of them in revenue.
