I agree! TikTok was so toxic for my daughter when she would jump on to see cat videos, but then it would inevitably show her truly frightening and offensive videos. Never figured out why. We deleted it as well and appreciate seeing videos here and Instagram! The Instagram algorithm is so much better than TT and it is truly the better platform.

Seconding this! Your videos were always my favorite part of Tiktok but it got really damaging to my mental health.

Mary, you could talk to your cardiologist about having a tilt table test done for POTS if they think it’s warranted. Something to have on your radar if it isn’t already.

My first thought was a panic attack, but that is maybe high even for a panic attack? Wishing you the best, Mary! Try breathing slower in through nose and out through mouth, if that rings a bell, but most people don't usually even identify it as anxiety when it happens. Anxiety is super treatable, so you'd probably rather it's that than something with your heart.

Your kitten senses were spot on

last year, a TNR group lady came by, and got nearly all the cats fixed. Then the landlord changed. There has been less of an influx this year, but there will always be cats abandoned or dumped, since we're an apt. complex. Two regulars passed away earlier this year and one new cat may have been taken (I hope), but I haven't heard from the TNR ppl Ince last year. There is a friendly stray who just won't stay in and who visits friendly humans plus shepherds any new or needy cats / kittens to the friendly humans. (I'd be happy for him to be my cat if he wanted to stay in.) A semi-feral, semi-friendly girl visits regularly, and one or two ferals who are always too wary to come near. My own cat is a rescue from the very same apt. parking lot, a very sweet cat who started as a kitten hiding under a car, then got out before she could get spayed, so, kittens happened, were given away, and little teen mama was spayed and vaccinated and has been with me ever since, always inside but I'm careful about that. No knowing if/when I'll be called upon to take in another, or if one will find me. But any new kitty, I'd want to find home for, unless we just bonded real well. Budget and life, not being good to me lately, and the apt. couple has gone way down, with the new mgmt. not doing much to fix things. :-/ So I have learned a lot about ferals and strays since moving here. Wish I could do more, but I'm probably overriding it now.

Hey girl fellow taticahardia haver here. When that happens if it gets really bad. My cardiologist has had me start to run or jog take myself have a fast heart rate on purpose 🙃 I thought she was crazy but after a 4hr stint I was like heyyyy. And I tried it and it worked. I know not all heart problems are similar but from a girl to a gal. My time of the month also increases frequency so drink extra crazy amounts of water around then. Love your kitties and you!! Thank you.

I hate that people leave their cats behind. But, that's how I got my void Nyxie, and I'd be lost without her.

Mary i hope you’re feeling better, have you had your iron checked recently? Because the way you were talking along with the high heart rate is exactly how I was when i had really low iron (like needed a transfusion low)

I am okay! I've had it all my life. It's called Tachycardia and there's not much my doctors can do for it. Just life laugh loving.

I feel for you.... I have a condition called supra ventricular tachycardia and had a fast heartbeat. I take medicine for it.

HI, i've been binging your videos since taking on some spicy bebe's of my own. I also have supra ventricular tachycardia. There's some cool info online about slowing down heartbeat when it's happening. i have good luck with icing my vagus nerve (on my neck or chest) and doing the valsalva meneuver. (blowing on my thumb). its so weird but it works. i hope it doesn't happen to you often, its the worst.

Mary: caffeine doesn't help with tachycardia ! Just sayin!
