New kit for pigeons over peas - it takes CrowHow!

Спорт

Andy Crow has a bag full of new kit to take pigeon shooting. He has just planted his peas and the pigeons are feasting. He is hoping for a bag of 200 pigeons - but only if the kit does its jobs.

Why shoot pigeons?
The woodpigeon is recognised as the UK’s number one agricultural pest and causes millions of pounds of damage (AHDB consultation 10-40% loss in yield. Equivalent loss of £125/ha for Oil Seed Rape, £250/ha for peas, £350-£1250/ha for brassicas) to agricultural crops every year including cereals, brassicas, oilseed rape, peas and salad crops. Pigeon damage reduces the yield, quality, appearance and ultimately the saleability of the crop. Pigeons can also cause damage in gardens and allotments - pecking at the leaves and ripping off portions, often leaving just the stalks and larger leaf veins. They may also attack and strip buds, leaves and fruits off trees and bushes.
The UK woodpigeon population was last estimated at 5.4 million pairs in 2009. Densities of wood pigeon are the highest in Eastern England, coinciding with the highest concentration of horticultural production.
Wild pigeon (game) is natural and free range, and it is one of the healthiest meats available today. It’s low in cholesterol and high in protein… and, quite simply, delicious.

WOW, great video! We shoot the occasional pigeon over here in California but with #7.5 shot they do come down a bit light. What's the FPS on those Pigeon Extreme loads? They seem to anchor those big birds. Fun to watch.

mannyCA #6 heavy field loads brings them down pretty well. That's what I use for them if I have any on me. I have also used super cheap #4 steel duck loads. That cures them every time!

I think that's something the vegans don't get - the huge carcase weight of wild deer, rabbits and pigeons that goes into producing nut roasts. / Charlie

Rahman Shajeeb I always love to see Un Educated idiots who have no clue what their on about and don’t realise that if we don’t keep on top of the pigeon infestation their will be loss of millions of pounds in produce across the country that have been destroyed by pigeons we shoot them because it’s the most efficient way of culling them, traditional methods of scarecrows and bangers aren’t effective so why voice your opinion when your clearly a fucking idiot who’s an Chris packman wanna be who knows nothing about countryside management, UR THE BIGGEST TWAT IVE EVER SEEN.
